Zhusanjiao was established in 1988, after Hong Kong-Macau joined with Hainan, uniting the south of Guangdong.
A New Beginning
After the creation of Zhusanjio, the nation quickly set about exploring the area, and bringing further areas under their control. In 1990, they came across the Republic of China, based in Taiwan. Two years later, a Philippine freighter docked in Hong Kong after hearing vague news reports of the colony's apparent survival. The Filipinos were surprised to learn that not only did Hong Kong and Macau survive, but has also expanded to parts of Guangdong. Foreign relations between the Philippines and Zhusanjiao were established on the same year.
The following year, diplomats from Zhusanjiao and the United States of the Pacific met in Baguio City, starting a new round of diplomatic exchanges between the two survivor states. In 1995, Zhusanjiao was accepted as observer nation to SEATO.
to be added
The Republic of Zhusanjiao has established diplomatic and trade relations with Taiwan and the Philippines. With the expansion to the southern parts of mainland China, it is expected that both hostile and friendly states will be met.
The country has recently established relations with the United States of the Pacific. The USP and the Pearl Delta is currently discussing a mutual defense treaty among the two states. It is currently an observer nation to SEATO.

The military is formed from the union of British Overseas Hong Kong soldiers, Portuguese soldiers stationed in Macau, and remnants of the People's Liberation Army that crossed into these bastions. Their equipment is mixed with both European and Chinese equipment. Standard small arms include the Type 56 assault rifle (Chinese AK Copy), L1A1 Rifle (FAL), Sterling submachine gun, Browning HP, FN MAG, DshK HMG among many others.
Vehicles such as APCs, tanks, patrol boats, naval vessels, and aircraft came from remnant PLAN, PLAAF, RAF, Royal Navy, and Portuguese military assets. It is notable that military has many surplus of World War II-era and Chinese Civil War-era weapons and other hardware. The Zhusanjiao Navy operates former U.S, Navy river gunboats from the 1920s-1940s that were transferred from ROC, Japanese, and PRC control.
The military may purchase weapons from the Philippines or the United States of the Pacific in the future.
Zhusanjiao is known for its diverse cultures of both Chinese, Cantonese, Portuguese, and British; the last two being inherited from over centuries of Western colonization. These are also the main spoken languages of the Pearl River Delta. Cuisine is known to be diverse, with a blend of Chinese and European dishes.
The state guarantees the freedom of religion, with Buddhism being the main form of worship. Hong Kong, being predominantly British, is dominantly Protestant while Macau is dominantly Catholic. Other religions include Taoism, Judaism, and Islam. Chinese New Year is celebrated every February and is one of the biggest events in the country.
EconomyThe Pearl River Delta is known for rice, corn, bamboo, and other fruits. Rice paddies are located throughout the former province of Guangdong. Because this area is somehow tropical, wood is a source of income since it is needed for construction and furniture. Livestock such as cows, chickens, ducks, pigs are domesticated all throughout. Fishing and aquaculture has become source of livelihood for the Zhusanjiaons. These produces were used locally for the population but are now being traded to Taiwan, the Philippines, parts of Southeast Asia, and the United States of the Pacific as Zhusanjiao begins to return to international trading.
