This map game, which was made thanks to the New Map Games Idea Page, was one of the most popular in this wiki. Sadly, thanks to expansion implausibility, the game has died out. Now, we have a revised version, with better rules to hopefully prevent any flaws in the game.

This begins at the start of the French Revolution, just like the original version.

Rules[]

  1. The game starts in 1789.
  2. All technological levels begin in the start date.
  3. Turns are all half years.
  4. One turn per day.
  5. Mods have the right to start the next turn.
  6. The algorithm will be same from the last version, with some differences.
  7. Mods can make any natural or human disasters or events.
  8. Mods will check everyone and each other for implausibility.
  9. DO NOT BE IMPLAUSIBLE WITH EXPANDING. THAT IS WHAT BROUGHT DOWN THE ORIGINAL GAME.

Boss People[]

While I am the game's creator, I have very little experience as being a mod, though I will try it, anyway. Help me if you can as I will need to smarts to handle this.

There will be four mods:

Portugal now has new colonies in OTL Ghana and Mali as well as the southern tip of Madagascar to compete with the Spanish there. Also the colonies in West Africa have expanded slightly to the east and the south. fix this please, thanks! AwesomePeruvian 04:40, April 28, 2012 (UTC)

The colony sizes in Africa are too big. Can you reduce them to a more realistic level? RandomWriterGuy 16:48, April 28, 2012 (UTC)

The Game[]

{C THE GAME BEGINS NOW!!!!

1789[]

The French Revolution begins when peasants begin attacking noble mansions and storm the Bastille. Russia defeats Turkey in the Battle of Rymnik.

  • Spain: The country begins a massive program to get the country back into shape. They include reforms including infrastructure expansion, industrial and technological development, and the growth of healthcare and education. Political reforms are also established in the wake of the French Revolution, similar to the United States Bill of Rights, but with differences. (firearms are illegal to own, slavery is abolished, all race have full rights) They also begin to reshape the Spanish national and colonial governments into a British-style system. Taxes are implemented more on the rich than the poor. The reforms are also implemented into the Spanish empire.
  • United States: George Washington is inaugurated as the first President of the United States, John Adams becomes the Vice-President, and US Secretary of State is John Jay. Fort Washington is built to protect US settlements in the Northwest Territory, and another raid on an American settlement is repealed by the American militia stationed there. George Washington sends an envoy to Spain and France to improve relations between the three powerful nations.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: It is grateful for the American request. It asks America for a economic, political, and military pact between the new nations.
    • American Diplomacy: Since George Washington is President, the economic pact is accepted, but the political and military pact is respectfully and politely declined, as Washington does not want to be involve in alliances.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire builds up its military and begins to move into the Arabian peninsula, defeating the Nomads. 60 pixels are taken. (I hope everyone is good with this.)
  • Since I am not a good map maker, I can't really answer that, but some can.
  • Yeah. That's good.
  • Also, tell us which direction so we get the right location.
  • I can do it, I'm a mapmaker.
  • Qing Dynasty (China): Recently emboldened Tibetan leaders start breaking away from Qing influence due to recent lack of commerce. In result, the Qing Emperor orders the creation of a fleet containing of 100 ships to go around the known world, explore, and gain technological secrets. They offer isolationist Japan trade agreements.
    • Random.org: (1-5=No, 6-10=Yes, 10=Yes)
  • Prussia: The Prussians expand their military.

1790[]

Leopold II is crowed Holy Roman Emperor. The Treaty of Varala ends the Russo-Swedish War. A constitutional monarchy is established in France, which implements many reforms, such as eliminating religious positions in the government, reorganizing the political division structure, and so forth.

  • Spain: The government desperately tries to encourage people to settle in to Northern New Spain and Patagonia by leasing it all for free as long the people will work on it. The political reforms allow the government to gain support of native peoples, especially Native Americans. The Catholic Clergy System in Spain is reorganized with some members forced to be replaced due to corruption and flaws in the system. The Spanish navy is rebuilt and improved with the help of American expertise (having being descended from the British).
  • United States: The US establishes the U.S. Coast Guard, to protect the coast of the United States. An area on the Potomac River is designated as the site for capital of the United States, Washington D.C. The Northwest Territory Conflict with the Native Americans and Americans ends with an agreement, allowing settlers to settle in the area, but allowing the natives to have the same rights. The first US census is taken, and is determined that 60% of the population is white, 30% is black, and 10% is Native American. Jefferson, despite the warning from Washington, ask to purchase Florida from Spain for an reasonable price.
  • Spanish Diplomacy: It declines.
  • Swiss Confederation: a small number of people start coming over the border from France. These people, who mainly are supporters of the king, are fleeing the revolution. due to their small number, they are generally ignored. the Swiss cantons reach a general agreement that it would be in their best interest to maintain a small militia for the protection of the Swiss homeland, so they proceed to do so.
  • Russia: A large amount of peasants, hoping to get free land and a better way of life, start to head East and begin claiming the lands out there. Workshops begin to pop up in the nation, and to help them out, the government is building canals and paving roads.
  • Prussia: In order to prevent a revolution, Prussia reforms itself. There will be a parliament to help with national issues, a bill of rights similar to the United States, and the king will still have ultimate control and stay in power until death or judged unfit to rule, the new king will be voted in by the people, and the only other way a king can be removed from power is by impeachment by parliament. Slavery is abolished and a law passed stating no one shall be persecuted or treated unfairly due to their race or religion. The military is modernized and expanded.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire ends the Russo-Turk war to continue expansion. More 60 pixels are taken. An alliance is offered to China.
  • Qing Dynasty (China): Seeing great benefits, the dynasty agrees to the Ottoman's request for an alliance. The merchant fleet reaches S. America, more specifically, urban centers in Colombia. They offer the Kingdom of Spain as a whole, trade agreements, which will allow commerce between the Qing Dynasty, Spain and her colonies. In the mainland, the emperor, a fan of exploration, orders the creation of a small fleet to explore northern areas. Qing Soldiers in Tibet are expelled by the government.
  • Spanish Diplomacy: it accepts.
  • British Empire: All colonies in North America, India and Africa are expanded while a colony is established in Australia, New Zealand (South Island and North Island) and one in OTL Seattle, Washington. The Army continues to be upgraded, as does the Navy, and expanded.
  • Britain already has a colony is Australia as an FYI. Just say that you're expanding it
    • Whoa buddy! Don't get started on the implausibility already! We'll limit you. The OTL Seattle one will have to be ended.
    • You don't have African colonies.
  • Yep. Britain was at the implausibility zone. Their will be no Seattle colony as expansion west will only be possible from Canada. You don't have any African colonies yet. And remember, you may have to go to war with India to take some of their land away.

  • The French Republic drafts troops and builds up infrastructure
    • Uhhh, I'm no mod. But, if you read above, France is already a constitutional monarchy, meaning the King (or to be more specific, the monarchy) has lost the majority of its power, and and now has leading Prime Ministers. There wouldn't be any more kind-of-rebels .... the next time there would be 'rebels' would be when the people found out the king conspired with Austria to retake his power (historically.) So, the whole rebel killing thing is a little off...... Ianian58 20:16, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Sorry, I thought I saw Britain attack from Canada on here; it's fixed
    • I did, but then I fixed it.
    • Yeah. This is very implausible. More people are on the side of the revolution than they are with the king. The most likely scenario is that the king suffers constant defeats across his nation. Also, there is no way Bonaparte would be dead that easily.
    • That whole move is implausible. Sorry, but out it goes. Also, France is already rebel taken, so you can't play as the Kingdom. Use the rebel nation instead and be plausible.
    • I have decided that whoever plays as France MUST RETYPE THEIR MOVE. Also, they MUST PLAY AS THE FRENCH REBELS.

1791[]

The French Royal Family is captured before it can escape. In The French colony of Haiti, a slave rebellion breaks out. The Treaty of Sistova is signed, ending the Ottoman-Habsburg Wars. The Champs des Mars Massacre occurs in France. The US Bill of Rights meets full ratification by Congress.

  • Spain: Spanish settlers begin mass-colonization of New Mexico, Louisiana, and California, though many come to work as farmers. The government sends expeditions to the regions to find any value in the region that would increase colonization. Spaniards are encouraged to immigrate to the Philippines to increase control and communication. They begin to build an ambitious road project across the Spanish American colonies to improve infrastructure and the economy. Spain begins developing a strong textile industry.
  • United States: The American militia build defenses along the Canadian border, and prepare for an possible British invasion. Meanwhile, the United States Army and United States Navy is formed under the American Defense Act of 1791 is passed by the American government, and construction on an new ship begins in Norfolk, Virginia. The United States Envoy to Spain, Thomas Jefferson, hesitantly ask for an alliance in both military and political with Spain, do to the ongoing threat coming from Great Britain. The United States Bill of Rights is passed by Congress.
    • French Diplomacy: It agrees. It sends military expertise to America to help the army.
  • Russia: Thousands of settlers continue to move Eastward to get free land. Roads and canals continue to be built for the workshops in the nation. Workshops in the nation are booming thanks to the canals which are providing power for them.
  • Japan: Continues to be isolationist. Any growth is contained within Japan. Cities continue to grow, as does the commercial sector. The Emperor continues to slowly assert more control over Japan by trying to shift loyalty from the Shogun to himself.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire continues military buildup and expansion at a steady rate. The current Russo-Turk War is ended. An alliance is offered to France and an economic tie is offered to Japan, its Asian neighbor.
  • Japanese Diplomacy: Declines; y'know, the whole 'isolationist' thing...
  • Well, 'cause y'know, since we're both Asian, it works out, but your call...
  • Swiss Confederation: French refugees come pouring over the border in increasing numbers. the swiss decide to increase the size of the new militia, and post troops to the french border.
  • France reforms the economy and also asks to buy Louisiana from Spain for 10 million francs and starts drafting more troops and starts the construction of industries all over the country finish date 1800
  • Qing Dynasty: The Qing Military fleet reaches the United States, and offer them trade agreements. Noting recent raids in rural areas near Tibet, the army moves it main bulk there.
  • American Diplomacy: America agrees to China's request.

1792[]

  • RWG, do you even know what is happening in this game? We ended the war LAST TURN. Pay attention. And please stop copying OTL stuff and pasting it here. This is ALTHISTORY. Let someone else call the random events.

France is declared a republic. Napoleon is named first Consul.

  • Look. sorry. I am just trying to do my best.
  • No problem, I will help you.
  • NOW, LET'S GO BACK TO THE TURN
  • WHICH IS BELOW.
  • WHERE EVERYONE IS PLAYING.
  • Spain: Settlement of Louisiana, New Mexico and California become successful. In the Philippines, the Spanish begin to prepare for war against Mindanao. The situation in Florida is only mild, as their is some difficulties governing it. They begin the settlement of Patagonia by leasing land for free. Efforts to expand the economy are successful as effects are shown across the empire. Spain begins to model factories after Britain's and begins the construction of factories across the colonies and Spain.
  • United States: Defenses along the border with Canada are going well, and training of the United States Army and Navy continues. Detroit is reclassified as a town, since immigrations coming from the east arrive at Detroit. The United States Post Office is passed by Washington. The New York Stock Exchange is formed following the Buttonwood Agreement. Kentucky enters the Union as the 15th state. The United States, concerned with the situation down in Haiti, would like to purchase the rebelling colony from France, or if necessary, send military soldiers to annex it. (Can an mod do a random.org.)
  • (1-5: No, 6-10: Yes, 7-Yes)
  • Japan: Isolationist. Emperor keeps trying to get more power.
  • Swiss Confederation: The French border is officially closed. fortunately, later in the year, the number of illegal border crossings diminish as Napoleon becomes consul. The militia is kept well-stocked, and is rather large. 50% of all eligible male citizens are in the militia, at least part time.
  • Austria: Austria begins the process of reconstruction of various border towns attacked by the Ottomans during the war. The Austrians recall their ambassador with the French empire and begin preparing troops for war from the Austrian Netherlands.
  • French Republic France is willing to sell the rebelling colony for 1.4 mill and offers to buy Louisiana back for 12 mill and increases the number of troops and ports

1793[]

Russia and Prussia seize land from Poland once again. France declares war on Great Britain, Spain and the Netherlands for the same reasons for Prussia and Austria.

  • Spain: It begins to send forces to the Pyrenees to prevent the French from getting over. Due to French military superiority, the Spanish are mostly on the defensive. All relations with France are broken. The invasion of Mindanao is now cancelled to ensure thousands of troops can get to Spain. The country is no longer a second-tier power as it used to be, now rising up in the ranks since the height of its power.
  • United States: The United States lands forces in Haiti, and annexes the rebellious colony (look at the random.org on the last turn) and becomes an state in the Union. The defensive lines along the border of Canada continues, while the United States Army and Navy are continuing to be trained under foreign officers, meanwhile construction on the USS Constitution continues, with an experimental iron hull instead of wood.
  • The French Republic sends troops to the Spanish border, saying no attack will be made unless provoked. They also build more ships and draft more troops and send a delegate to America for trade and a military alliance, and start building more industry and prepare for war with Britain. They blockade their South American colonies
  • Russia: Settlers head eastward, and more workshops are made. Some people head into the lands that were taken from Poland, and start kicking out the Poles that own the land. This leads to some violence, and to stop it, the military is being moved to help stop the fighting.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire continues expansion at a steady rate. An alliance is offered to France.
  • Austria: Austrian troops invade France from the French Netherlands; their objective is to get their soldiers to Paris. Another force prepares its defenses from Milan and Mantua, and urges Sardinia-Piedmont to engage the French.
  • Remember: do not expect the invasion to go easy. France has the strongest army in Europe, so victory will very hard.

1794[]

France abolishes slavery. France and Spain and Austria reach a stalemate in the War of the First Coalition.

You know, I would have added that Austria loses the Netherlands, but that probably won't do.

  • Spain: Spain asks for a ceasefire with France, as they believe they would not hold out for long. Meanwhile, the Pyrenees are constantly attacked by the French. The government is attempting a way to work out peace with France. The missionary system in California is reorganized, though there will be new settlements next to the missionaries.
  • Russia: More Settlers head eastward, and more workshops are set up. The Government begins investing in the new Textile Industries, and with new inventions like the cotton gin, it becomes very profitable thanks to cheaper cotton. The military is improved.
  • United States: The rebels in Haiti are put down, an formal state government is installed, and Haiti becomes an state officially. Construction on the defensive line along the border of Britain. Training for the US Army and Navy ends, and is designated to be one of the most powerful militaries in the Western Hemisphere, but not as powerful as France or Britain, or even Spain. The Spanish government is offered an safe haven in the US to continue their war if mainland Spain does fall. The USS Constitution is at the mid-point, while the USS United States and USS Constellation are laid down for construction.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: It thanks for the offer.
  • Austria: The Austrian Army continues their march, separating at three points, one to head to Le Havre in Normandy, another heading southward through the Champagne region towards Lorraine, and a third aiming for Paris itself.
  • Qing Dynasty: Raids caused by bandits are put to a stop by the Qing Army, the large Merchant fleet arrives back at Beijing, and the mass information is gained- a detailed map of much of the world, rifles, cannons, designs for warships, history books, literature books; the Emperor announces the immediate reformation of the Qing Navy and Army to more modern standards as a result. The book of men like Voltaire, Montesquieu and Rosseau are published and talked about by intellectual men, which brings the ideas of democracy, freedom, and ministers and such. In result - overall, it is a wealthy time.
  • French Republic: Napoleon loses power and Pierre Cabrett, the new French president, accepts the offer for a cease fire and declares that there will be peace within the next two years, as soon as Napoleon's forces have been calmed down. Meanwhile, Napoleon is struggling to get back into power and sends an expedition to the Mediterranean islands to begin a campaign to capture them. At the same time, Prince Claude is still alive in hiding and struggling to get back into power. President Cabrett agrees that it will be a long time before the turmoil dies down and requests a military alliance with China and England to help calm the post-revolution frenzy. Meanwhile, President Cabrett makes a visit to America to meet Washington, encouraging the citizens and accidentally encouraging potential rebels across Europe to start thinking about overthrowing the cruel monarchists.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire defeats the last nomads of Arabia and completely conquers the Arabian Peninsula. Movements are made into Africa. An alliance is offered to the Mughal Empire. (Random.org: 1-4 NO, 6-10 YES, 5 UNDECIDED, 8, YES) The Mughals accept.

1795[]

The Batavian Republic is proclaimed. Napoleon begins waging war over the islands of the Mediterranean (except in the east) with his loyal troops. The Kingdom of the Sicilies, Sardinia, Britain, and Spain are under attack by Napoleon.

  • Spain: They ask France for a ceasefire so they can both destroy Napoleon from taking over the Mediterranean. They send troops to the Balerics to ensure it is not under the feet on Napoleon. They send diplomats to China, asking for an alliance and trade agreements. They will also support the country's modernization program. The country is declared a constitutional monarchy based on the British governmental system. Enlightenment thinkers and supporters are free to spread their ideas.
  • France accepts the ceasefire and once again requests a military alliance with England and Qing China.
  • United States: The USS Constitution is finished, and launched, and is followed by an speech made by Washington, stating that this military warship will bring pride to the new and young US Navy. The USS United States and Constellation are at mid-completion, while the USS Philadelphia is laid down. An entrepeneur, Eli Whitney, begins to design an revolver that could replace the outdated percussion and flintlock pistols. The US request to purchase the remainder of Hispaniola from Spain, since the US owns Haiti, and wants all of the island.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: It declines. Yet in case with war with Britain, it will allow America to take all British Caribbean territories.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: Duke Frederick Francis I plots a new course for his small country. He establishes a parliament, albeit with limited powers, and elections are held. The small military starts a process of modernization, with the army purchasing new artillery. The DoM-S asks Britain for an advisor to assist with the creation of a Mecklenburg-Schwerinese Navy.
  • Qing Dynasty: The army and navy continues modernization with information, some protests occur in large coastal cities for the formation of a senate, with positions of democratically-held ministers. Qing Merchants urge the Emperor to form a trade agreement with the many but isolated clans of Japan, he attempts to, but fails to reach an agreement. Commerce with south-east Asian nations continue.
  • France once again requests a military alliance with Qing China and England.
  • France: President Cabrett returns to France from his tour in the USA and immediately starts campaigning to have Napoleon arrested for illegally declaring war. Meanwhile, Napoleon starts a massive campaign to capture Gibraltar and therefore control the Mediterranean. Cabrett focuses his armies on holding off Napoleon and calming down his frenzied supporters, leaving Paris completely exposed to a potential attack. Prince Claude starts to gain support among Parisian citizens and adopts a disguise as a politician named Aaron Wisp from America, slowly making his way towards legally becoming president of France and therefore retaking power.
    • Why did Napoleon lose power in the first place? He was everybody's best friend and first choice for leader.
    • You know what. It's officially an implausibility for Napoleon to lose power I am afraid that whoever is playing France will have to alter their turns.
    • Okay, everybody loved Napoleon, but nobody liked the war, and Cabrett promised peace so he narrowly won the election. However, Napoleon is now on a spree of conquering and everybody thinks he will make France a great nation to be proud of living in. So Cabrett is really only president in name, and Napoleon still has massive support. Therefore, in the end, Napoleon never really lost power. Sorry to confuse anyone.
    • OK, then.
  • Russia: More Settlers go Eastward, and more workshops open up. The military is improved. More Textile 18 factories open up.
  • Portugal: A dictatorial regime overthrows the traditional monarchy and quickly consolidates power in the country. First act: tighten colonial control over Portugal's colonies. Portugal asks Great Britain and France to enter an alliance with them
    • Spanish Diplomacy: It asks the country for an alliance and trade agreements.
    • Portuguese Diplomacy: Portugal accepts alliance and trade rights proposal. Portugal also withdraws its proposals to Great Britain and France.
  • First of all, SPAIN, and SPAIN ONLY, CAN CONDUCT DIPLOMACY WITH YOU. YOU CANNOT WRITE FOR SPAIN. Now, I know that you are new user, but didn't ever come to you that we have rules and that you should look them up? Second of all, that move is implausible. Strike through the whole thing. Now, we'll let it slide, because you are new, but take this as a warning. Thirdly, welcome to the wiki. See this.
  • Before I make my redo move, can whoever wrote that last thing message me or talk to me on my profile (not sure how that works) so I won't make the same mistake again. Thanks, AwesomePeruvian 18:32, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

1796[]

French people support the famed Napoleon Bonaparte over the republican government. He threatens to take control of the country unless the republic allows him to have the highest position there.

  • France: President Cabrett is badly injured by a musketball fired into his shoulder by a Napoleonic Revolutionary, and he asks President Washington if he can escape Napoleon's forces by fleeing to the United States seeking asylum, promising that the leaders of the two great revolutions of the century will collaborate and make the USA a mighty nation. Meanwhile, Prince Claude gains major support in his attempts to take rulership of France back. Napoleon captures Crete and Cyprus and his siege on Gibraltar is almost finished. As the forces of the revolution, Napoleon and the monarchy face off, some fear that if Cabrett doesn't step down a three way civil war will erupt. A desperate Cabrett once again begs for a military alliance with England and Qing China, citing that this is the last chance to stop Napoleon from cementing his rule over France. Napoleonic and Cabrettan forces prepare for possible bloodshed.
  • United States: The USS Constellation and USS America is completed, and the USS Philadelphia is at mid-completion. President Washington welcomes President Cabrett. Eli Whitney continues to develop his revolver, John Adams is defeated in the presidential election, causing Thomas Jefferson to start his first term early. George Washington issues his Farewell Address, and agrees to allow Cabrett to take safe haven in the US.
    • Cabrett: Asks how he can repay Washington and prepares to stand down and flee. He also offers England and Qing China an absolute last offer for military assistance against Napoleon.
    • French Update: Napoleon has now cemented his power over France and revolution is breaking out. It is too late for England and Qing China to save Cabrettan France now, and the request for a military alliance is regretfully called off.
    • American Diplomacy: Bring as much of Cabrett's loyalists as possible, we'll need 'em to defeat Napoleon.
    • Cabrett: Has 3/4 of his loyalists ready to escape to America, almost 8,000 men, women and children, all ready to be trained as soldiers. Cabrett also asks if he could get, until the move to America, some soldiers for protection, at least four. MattiasWestby 00:24, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
    • American Diplomacy: Four mercenaries will be sent to France to protect Carbett.
    • Cabrett thanks America for the protection. He pays each mercenary 1 million dollars in the remainder of the gold plundered from King Louis. Cabrettan France salutes America.
    • That is implausible. America likes Napoleon and would never want to defeat him. The only thing you could do is to let Cabrett come to America.
    • Apologies, but Cabrett and Washington are now friends, and your enemy's enemy is your friend, as the saying goes. Can I just bring along three-fourths of my loyalists, anyway?
    • Sure.
    • Thanks.
    • Actually, many Americans only like Napoleon because he was anti-British, and they didn't like him that much, nor hate him that much. But, he wasn't exactly a good person in the eye of many Americans.
    • In that case, it wouldn't take much to make America hate Napoleon and cement friendship between Cabrett and Washington. One more thing - by any chance could Cabrett run for president?
    • No. Not unless he lived in America for fourteen years as a citizen and thirty-five years of age.
    • Shame. Oh well, he can be an advisor for the president.
    • Yes, quite a shame. Would've been quite interesting to see what would happen if he became president. Oh well.
  • Portugal: (hope this one is a lot better) The Portuguese crown decides to change Brazil from colonial status and make it into an actual part of Portugal. Portugal sends naval expeditions to the Gold Coast of Africa.
  • That's much better, dude. Congrats on your very first move. Nice job.
    • Duchy of Mecklenberg-Schwerinese Diplomacy: His Highness Duke Frederick Francis asks Portugal for an agreement in trade, as well as asking for an advisor to assist with the creation of his navy.
    • Portuguese Diplomacy: King Victor Fernao accepts the Duchy's trade agreement and sends a team of naval experts to aid. Portugal offers its hand in an alliance to the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire expands into Africa and continuously asks France for an alliance.
  • President Cabrett, though unable to provide an alliance due to the Napoleonic Revolution and the fact that he will lose power within the year, agrees to send a quarter of his loyalists to the Ottoman Empire to be trained as soldiers. Prince Claude promises that if he becomes president, he will ally with the Ottomans. Napoleon flatly refuses and continues besieging Gibraltar and England.
  • Cabrett: He is unable to ally since he is under siege by Napoleonic forces, but he sends 1/4 of his loyalists to the Ottoman Empire for training as soldiers.
  • Napoleon: He accepts the offer and personally goes to the Ottoman Empire to shake hands with the Sultan. He hails this as a major achievement in the history of Europe and the Middle east. He returns to France after a month and resumes his siege.
    • Actually, Napoleon would accept because he needs an ally in the Balkans who could invade both Russia and Austria-Hungary. And: Reminder: The Ottomans fought with France for a while in OTL.
    • Good point. I'll change it.
    • How's that?
    • That's great, but I'm not here to make decisions. What do you think, MP and Enclavehunter? (They were the first ones to come to my mind as unbiased and unlikely to take sides.)
    • Napoleon is not stupid, if he could get an ally against both Austria and Russia, he would do almost anything. Since Napoleon didn't invade Egypt, such an alliance would be possible. MP
    • Thanks, MP. I have a goal of getting through this map game without changing one of my former posts once. of course, I think I'll have to forget about that goal, since Napoleon didn't refuse the Ottomans. Oh, never mind, just keep playing!
  • Qing Dynasty: One-fourth of the one million man army is modernized (one million is small for a 470 million+ population) and the Emperor attempts to reach a trade agreement with clans in Japan, but fails to, much to the frustration of merchants. The Emperor is advised to invade Tibet, as raids continue to slow agriculture in the east. A series of ship-of-the-lines are introduced. A series of anti-piracy campaigns are to take place in the cost, and guard long trade routes between the Mughal Empire and the Dynasty. The emperor announces his sixteen-year-old daughter as the heir to the throne, to the surprise of many cousins and sons.

Napoleon is now in control of France and immediately restarts his siege on Gibraltar, capturing it by the end of the year and controlling all trade between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The Ottoman Empire controls the Suez Canal, therefore trapping all the Mediterranean nations. The siege on England allows him to capture Cornwall and Wales and he sends his forces against London. New Granada offers full liberties to any Indian tribe who attacks British Guiana.

  • Who do you want?
  • Well, the Prussian and Russian monarchs are already married, so pretty much whoever will take her. I think a British royal would be preferable, but a Spaniard would also be welcome.
  • What about a Portuguese prince?
  • I would give you an Ottoman, but they're Muslim, so it's a no-go. Maybe take a Danish prince? Or how about this guy, her real husband?
  • I personally would prefer not her real husband for one reason: she is Prince Albert's grandmother. If she didn't marry her OTL husband, Queen Victoria would marry a different person, changing all British monarchs since then. And a Portuguese Prince would do nicely, if an official offer is made next turn, the Duke will accept.
  • Oh, OK. That's why I noted him, anyway, because it seems terrible to change something like that. But who cares?! Althistory!

Cities in the cost, and many areas near Beijing, are suddenly lit, as thousands suddenly riot, the empire is stunned, confused, and reacts poorly, Generals and political leaders having no idea of what to do, put the main part of the army to coastal cities, lowering Beijing's large garrison. That was a mistake- a well equipped army came from eastern rural areas, numbering roughly 10,000 men according to historians, the army was named by a man by the name of "Zhuge Liang" which was also the name of a brilliant strategist in the era of the three kingdoms. This "Zhuge Liang" ushered the birth of a new dynasty- he was a fan of the ideas of Montesquie with separation of powers, he was a fan of Voltaire with the formation of a senate, and a fan of Roseau with the idea of a democracy. The army took Beijing by surprise, working well and coordinated, they were armed very well for a sudden rebellion. The enemy army is repealed, defeated by the 80,000 man garrison in Beijing, but the emperor is killed, and of the 80,000 men, 34,000 died. The heir to the throne, the daughter of the emperor, takes the throne. The army of "Zhuge Liang retreats to eastern rural areas, especially in the mountainous regions. Ports are destroyed, the Empress distressed, orders all cities to begin repair, and orders a campaign to the east against the rebel army.

    • How are you getting to Austria?
    • Sorry, make that, King George III. I was already in Austria - spent three or so years fighting to get control of Vienna, remember? The whole siege? And also, how could I let the Ottomans ally with my sworn enemies, the Russians, by missing ONE TURN!?!?!? Things are getting out of hand... would appreciate some help.
    • Why would Napoleon be angered? We're tricking them. When they let their guard down, we'll invade. Nappy would see that, using his military genius.

    • S'all right. All I say is: "This was secret." And Russia's not allowed to know!

  • France: You were all surprised when Napoleon was declared dead? Well, I've got a whopper for you - HE LIVES!! And his forces are now besieging Moscow! Turns out that he purposefully sank some of his ships to make it look like his expedition failed, so that the Russians would let down their guard. He comes home expecting ticker-tape parades, only to find that Claude (changed his name to Jean I) has taken over against his and his brother's orders. The French Civil war ends with Jean I dead and Napoleon back in control, with Russia almost conquered and a siege on Portugal in consideration. Meanwhile, Napoleon once again requests a Spanish alliance.
    • Wow. Really? I thought he died?! But still, even if he has returned, he probably most be greatly injured and may want peace as well.
    • Are you kidding? The whole reason he faked his death was to get an edge on Russia! Plus, the assumption he was dead was based on the assumption that his fleet sank when in fact he sailed to Russia on a huge, first class warship, so I don't see where he would get extensive injuries beyond the battlefield.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: Although anxious about news of Napoleon's return, Duke Frederick Louis still sends an ambassador to Paris to discuss the new peace. The old USS America is fitted with a new, copper hull and arrives in Mecklenburg intact. A permanent Ambassador is sent to new trade partner, the USA. With greatly improved roads due to the turnpike trusts, trade and commerce increases exponentially. Using his new sea power, the duchy establishes three bases in Western Africa (in OTL Gabon).
  • Russia: Shocked of Napoleon's return. they cancel the peace talks and begin mobilizing at the Western border. They ask Austria and Prussia to form a coalition to destroy Napoleon.
    • You never saw it coming, did you?
  • Qing Dynasty: Many people in the lower classes are offered a new life in the recently colonized Alaska- which the Qing Army has secured all the lands claimed- to build a colony in North America, the Empress notices many resources, like furs and such, and begins a program to send over 10,000 men in the next seven years. The Empress eagerly tries to open more trade routes with Japan, but is blocked. Trade from south-east Asia deny economic collapse, much to the Dynasty's relief.
  • Swiss Confederation: The Swiss army still presses farther into France. However, the revolutionaries begin conducting a revolution in Switzerland, and the army is forced to send troops. The Swiss advance is halted in France for now.
  • Austria: Austria ... somewhat surprised of Napoleon's return, agrees to the idea of a coalition to challenge the French Emperor, and begins mobilizing for a swift assault from Belgium and Milan, they also ask Sardinia-Piedmont and Tuscany to enter the war as well.
    • Sorry, Napoleon conquered Sardinia, I believe. If you want, I can make him conquer Tuscany as well.
    • Ah, I must've missed that memo ... Make it so, then ...
  • Portugal: Portugal continues to thrive in its own sphere of peace in between the confusion and chaos in the rest of Europe. Valuable resources are discovered in Southwest and South Africa; Colonies are expected to form soon. Portugal encourages immigration to these new areas and once again, slavery is absolutely forbidden. King Victor maintains his warnings that an invasion of Spain or the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin will result in Portugal's involvement. Portuguese West Africa continues to thrive.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire (I knew Napoleon was alive, so much like Matt.) is glad to see Napoleon restored to power. Troops are pulled out of France and redirected to Austria-Hungary and Russia with full force.
  • United States: Expansion north and west continues, while the USS Constitution becomes part of a museum. Research into copper bottoms and double hulls for warships begins, while railroads and steamboats are also under research. The US is glad about Napoleon's return, but doesn't take any action against a foreign nation.

1805[]

The peace talks are canceled when the nations hear of Napoleon's return. Mobilization continues once more.

  • Spain: Spain will remain neutral in the conflict. They send expeditions across the Niger River to exploit any potential wealth.
  • Russia: It sends troops to the Caucasus against the Ottomans. They continue to defend western Russia from France. They ask Persia for help.
  • France: The Second Napoleonic War is going strong, and the surprise attack on Moscow has given France an upper hand. As the French Civil war comes to an end and Jean II is executed by guillotine, the French monarchy is forever destroyed. However, there is one althistory where Jean I survives. See Taurean France for more info. Meanwhile, St. Petersburg has been captured, and Napoleon requests assistance from the Ottomans as well as an alliance with the Mughal Empire. The siege on Vienna is also nearly wrapped up, with the Emperor dead and his heirs on the run. Prussia too, is now under siege, and is expected to fall within the year.
    • Just wondering ... Do you mean ALL of Prussia is under siege, or the capital, Berlin.
  • Swiss Confederation: The Swiss confederation is overrun by revolutionaries, many of which support Napoleon. The Swiss Confederation is then re-formed as a french client state.
  • Qing Dynasty: The year is bad as raids from the west- more specifically, Tibet, bring deaths of hundreds. The Empress puts her main army around the west, to stop raids, commerce grows nicely, and the treasury once again begins to keep up. The army is allowed to continue to modernize, the Empress is on the verge of invading Tibet, but advisers say to hold a while, as Tibet would be hard to conquer and the economy needs to get back to its old shape before the Zhuge Liang rebellion- who was hanged, and Chinese strategist begin writing tactics he used in his campaigns.
    • Ottoman Diplomacy: The Ottomans ask for an alliance or aid in the War and permission to send da'i (Muslim missionaries) to China.
    • France: The Ottomans aren't alone in requesting an alliance with China. Napoleon thinks that such an alliance would greatly benefit his campaign against Russia, since China is at a strategic point between the Ottomans and Russia.
  • Ottoman Empire: The Empire launches a naval attack on the Russians in the Black Sea. The Sultan advises Napoleon, that, if he should listen to wise words, he would not absorb Prussia and Austria into France. Rather, he should set up governments that are pro-France and pro-Napoleon. An invasion of Persia is launched. The Ottomans ask for help from the Dutch and the Swiss. The Persian border with Russia is taken in four months after sieges and hard battles. An alliance is offered to the Chinese.
    • Dutch Diplomacy (Mod Controlled): The Dutch send food and supplies but no official military power is sent to the Ottomans.
    • Swiss Diplomacy: The Swiss send many young mercenaries who are eager to fight.
  • Portugal: The country enters its third year of prosperity. Portuguese society is thriving and attracts many immigrants. The Portuguese open their borders to refugees from the war going on in the rest of Europe. The Economy continues to be boosted by the colonies. In Brazil, Portugal increases funding the state government as well as Portuguese West Africa. The colony of Angola is founded in southwestern Africa. Expeditions continue into eastern Africa as well as south Africa.; expeditions to India will be planned soon. The King upholds his promise to Spain and Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
    • India is implausible first and foremost. Secondly, the Mughal Empire is there and has the backing of the Ottomans and France.
    • My bad, I was thinking 1600s for some reason.
    • Lol, no worries.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The bases in Africa bring in quite a bit of wealth to the economy. The Duchy offers to buy the Virgin Isles from Denmark. The Duchy declares complete independence from the Holy Roman Empire, seeing as the Emperor is dead. The Duchy declares neutrality and also introduces more democratic government.
  • Austria: The Austrians make a spirited resistence against the French in Vienna. An Army under Archduke Charles moves down from Bohemia to relieve the Siege on Vienna.

1806[]

The French invasion of Russia hits many obstacles due to growing isolation and harsh geographical and weather conditions.

  • Spain: It continues to exploit welath from its West Africa colony. They establish a new colony at OTL Monrovia.
  • Russia: They begin to defend the Black Sea from the Ottomans. They raid French supply lines in Russia. They used scorch burning tactics to isolate Napoleon from supply.
  • France: Sadly, the Russians were too late. Napoleon ultimately takes St. Petersburg and half of Russia, and the siege on Moscow has almost captured the city. Prussia too falls against the French war machine, and Berlin is captured as the new capital of the French territory of Prussia. Switzerland offers to be annexed and is accepted. Meanwhile, Prague is liberated from the French and the fleeing heirs to Austro-Hungary make Prague their new capital, sending forth forces to liberate Vienna. France once again requests an alliance with Qing china and the Mughal Empire.
  • Portugal: Prosperity has become the norm in Portugal, its province, and its colonies. Portuguese West Africa continues to produce wealth, and the new colony of Angola follows suit. Portuguese expeditions have reached the coast of South Africa and a colony will be established soon. The King encourages immigration to the new colonies. Portugal develops its Navy even further than before, hoping to one day be bigger and better than Britain's navy
  • United States: The United States Navy goes under an massive improvement to compete with the European Nations, and begins constructing all ships with copper or iron sides and bottoms. Research into steamboats and the railroad continue, while the US continues to expand westward and northward, and occupies most of the Arctic Islands, and an small trading post is established on Greenland. The United States Army and Marine Corps begins to go under massive retrainment, to adapt to new situations (guerrilla and amphibious) and prepare for the establishment of a colony on the West Coast to be able to compete with Britain. James Madison becomes President of the United States, and continues to take a pro-French.
  • Qing Dynasty: Three-fourths of the 1.2 million man army is modernized, the navy is now completely modernized, the army distributes regulations for tactics to avoid defeats like in the Zhuge Liang rebellion. Trade with South-East Asia brings prosperity. The colony in Alaska is now fully secured, and 3000 civilians now live there.
  • 3000 people in Southern Alaska? It's 1806, a bit chilly.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The Danish Virgin Isles are bought from Denmark. The roads are even better thanks to the effeciency of the Turnpike system.
  • As an FYI, other people can start turns.

1807[]

French people, now war-weary, revolt against the French government demanding for peace. Half of Napoleon's army mutines as well.

People in Chinese Alaska become dissatisfied and go back to the homeland. Less than a hundred people remain.

  • Why does everyone try to get Napoleon out of gameplay?
  • I just want to point out that anyone can start the next year while mods can make the mod events. I feel I did too much of the work and you guys should try it.
  • Thanks, we will.
  • Qing Dynasty: 2000 civilians are in the most southern tip of the Chinese Colony in Alaska. It has little management, and the settlers there begin building a small town. In the mainland, ferocious bandit raids continue. The Empress announces the creation for a position of Prime Minister that will be democratically held next year due to more democratic demands recently rising. Commerce with South-East Asia and India (Mughal Empire) continues, the navy goes on a two-year long anti-piracy campaign around the South-East Asian wathers to keep commerce safe.
    • French Diplomacy: Can we or can we not have an alliance? I don't know if we will be able to capture Russia without your help.
  • Mughal Empire: The Empire keeps building up and modernizing its military, preparing to expand into central Asia. The Empire seizes the Maledives.
    • French Diplomacy: An alliance would greatly benefit both our nations. What have we got to lose if we become firm friends?
    • Mughal Diplomacy: The Emperor was under the impression that the Mughals and the French were already allies.
    • They are.
    • Well, I just want to get it in writing, is all.
  • United States: The United States continues to expand westward, while the Greenland outpost continues to exapnd northward. Research into railroads and steamboats continues, while the new US Marines is given amphibious vehicles (First One came around in 1805 in OTL). The USS Constitution becomes a museum, and the USS Constellation is offered to any country that wants it. The improved navy continues to go on patrols across the Atlantic Ocean.
    • Portuguese Response: The Portuguese offer to purchase the USS Constellation.
    • American Diplomacy: America happily sells the warship to Portugal.
    • Portuguese Reply: The King bows his head in gratitude to the Americans.
  • Austria: From Prague, the Hapsburg Emperor officially makes a request of negotiations with the French in order to end the war.
  • Portugal: All programs involving The Armed Forces are now fully modernized and functional, the Portuguese navy conducts military exercises off the coast of Brazil. Immigration is still encouraged into the country due to excellent prosperity of Portugal.

France: Napoleon calls a temporary ceasefire by 1808 and starts to slow down his campaigns while dealing with the unrest within his borders. He asks the Ottomans if they could attack Prussia for him. Meanwhile, he sends out feelers to Britain, which seems to have disappeared from the game, and asks what is going on.

  • How can Austria be annexed and then have a puppet government set up? If it's annexed it would mean it's ruled directly by the French.
  • A: The Ottomans are not a monarchy.
  • B: Alexander's successor was Nicholas I.
  • C: Shot him? HAHAHAHAHAHA, no.
  • D: Alexander II was the nephew of Alexander I and the son of Nicholas I.
  • ------------ ------------- ------------ ----------------- ----------------- ------------
  • A: I'm afraid the Ottoman Empire is a monarchy, it was until 1918, and you haven't posted anything changing it.
  • B: I am sorry. You are becoming more implausible. As a punishment, I set out a moderator event to teach you a lesson.
  • Sorry.
  • Technically, the Ottoman Empire is and isn't a monarchy at the same time.
  • How? They have a Sultan, who is a monarch. Even if the monarch doesn't hold much power it is still a monarchy (eg. modern-day UK, Australia)
  • That's why I said "is and isn't" above.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The parliament is given even more powers, and the Duchy is now a completely constitutional monarchy, although the people still have very high respect and loyalty to Duke Frederick Louis. A small detachment is sent to the newly-purchased Virgin Isles, and a regiment is raised from the local population. Construction begins on a transportational canal. Napoleon is asked for an alliance.
  • Spain: They begin to allow immigration to the country as the economy is growing and becoming prosperous. They discover untold riches of the Congo, which would be useful in the future.
  • Russia: Russian troops raid French supply lines. Guerrillas wear down the French army. Alexander escapes to the east to operate far from the French,

1808[]

Unrest continues in France as people are constantly demanding peace. Christians in the Ottoman Empire revolt.

  • That is a complete fallacy. The Muslims would be more than happy to be busy crushing Europeans.
  • Sorry.
  • It's all right.
  • Ottoman Joke about the Christians: Off with their heads!
  • Portugal: King Victor expands the borders of his colonies in Africa. Expeditions are successful and a colony is established in OTL South Africa just in sight of the colony established there by the Dutch. Lisbon's progress is going great and should be done in 1810. Prince Fernando and Princess Louise Charlotte will go to Africa in Portugal's colonies on a good will mission to show that the monarchy cares about the colonists and to further enforce the no slavery act. They are also there to encourage settlers to move to OTL Ghana and Mali which is Portugal's next projected colony.
  • Spain: Most of the Northern New Spanish Frontier is now settled along with Patagonia. They are concerned about the situation in France and persuade Napoleon to coincede to his people's demands. They send expeditions across the Pacific, which discover most of the islands and the region, New Zealand, and Australia. They plan more expeditions.
  • Dude, this is 1808. Spanish Australia? Quite a bit implausible.
  • Incredibly implausible. Britain would not tolerate it, seeing as they claim both, at least since 1770.
  • Russia: They take advantage of the situation in France and continue to push out French troops out of their borders. They crush the Ottomans at the Black Sea. and begin funding independence movements in the Ottoman Balkans.
  • The Ottomans are nowhere near the Ottomans, only in the Black Sea and the areas around it.
  • The Ottoman Empire: Eastern Persia is defeated at last while the Ottomans agree to peace with the Russians for land around the Black Sea. The Balkans are turned into a puppet state, the Balkan Union, while Greece is given full independence to make everyone else shut up.
  • United States: The United States continues to expand west, east, and northward into North America. Most of the Arctic Islands are captured, the West Coast Colony surrounds the British Colony, and both colonies begin to expand westward. Meanwhile, the military goes under massive expansion and now can combat the threat of pirates and British.
  • Qing Dynasty: The Dynasty declares war on Tibet- the invasion is to be slow-paced due to harsh seasons and mountains in Tibet. 800,000 troops are contributed to the invasion.
  • France: After a year of ceasefire and dealing with the threat of civil war, Napoleon has convinced his people that he is on a mission to rid the world of evil, corrupt monarchies, and the people start to join him again. Meanwhile, Napoleon's troops have retaken St. Petersburg and are struggling to hold control of Russia while the outskirts of Moscow are currently occupied. The only solution may be an alliance with the strategically placed Qing Empire, right between Russia and the Mughals (and also with a bit of territory in Alaska, but not for long), so Napoleon sends requests of an alliance to them again. The war is currently on hold, and his enemies are getting angry ...
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: Asks Napoleon for a non-aggression Treaty. A new frigate is commissioned. An ironworks is opened.
    • French Diplomacy: We accept the treaty on the condition you make us warships and give us troops and supplies.

1809[]

Napoleon falls severely ill in Paris while negotiations go on. Peace discussions continue in the Swiss Confederation. (which has been annexed) French people continue to riot in the country.

  • France: Napoleon puts his brother Joseph in temporary control of the country as he recovers from his illness, known in OTL as cancer. Joseph continues to spread the message that Napoleon is ridding the world of corrupt monarchies and empires and a quarter of his troops return to Napoleonic France. Immediately, they are sent to Qing China to help the battle against Tibet, and they are scheduled to arrive next year. Meanwhile, the Cabrettan troops sent to the Ottoman Empire years before are recalled to France to help with the situation, even though they may not be trustworthy. Half are sent to Prague to destroy the Royal Family once and for all, a quarter are sent on diplomatic missions to the Ottoman and Mughal Empires to ask them if they could help the battle against Tibet, and the remaining quarter are sent out to patrol France and prevent a possible Third French Civil War or, god forbid, a Second French Revolution. The situation is improving, but still dire and the whole war has now been paused for two years. His enemies are gaining the upper hand.
    • Mughal Diplomacy: We are not in a position to consider invading Tibet yet.
    • Stop it Matt. You are continuously controlling other people's nations. Also, why the hell would you freaking annex Switzerland? IT HAS A GOD DAMN PLAYER! Please excuse my language.
    • Matt, one more implausible move and another mod event will destroy your country.
    • No, we'll just force him away from France.
    • Actually, that's a better idea.
    • Actually, the player for Switzerland asked me to annex him. For goodness sakes, why does everyone hate Napoleon so much?
    • We love Napoleon. Trouble is, you're ruining him and France.
    • Again, you're doing it again. The point of the mod event was to make sure that he would be better until next year. Second of all, why are you so worried about Tibet? Democracy? Ha! Napoleon is Emperor of the First French Empire, King of Italy and of Rome! Democracy supported by Napoleon? And how many times are we going to tell you that the PRUSSIANS AND AUSTRO-HUNGARIANS HAVE NOT BEEN DEFEATED?!!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!!?
    • Move it to next year, then. And I posted that he had conquered Prussia and captured Vie-
  • Did the mods change it?
  • Mughal Empire: Mughal troops land in Aceh and begin to siege the capital. After a few months the state falls and is annexed. The government prepares a build up of forces on the Persian border.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Ottomans defeat Persia and offer the Mughals help in defeating their enemies.
    • Mughal Diplomacy: Is it likely that you defeated all of Persia? If not, we would offer support if we could annex the Eastern and Northeastern parts.
    • Ottoman Diplomacy: Well, over the course of three years, the only part we did not conquer is southeastern Persia. We will give you that if you help us. In return, we will also help you defeat all the other nations in the Indian Peninsula. Deal?
    • Mughal Diplomacy: Not many nations in the Indian Peninsula any more, but okay.
  • *Qing Dynasty: As predicted, the campaign is slow in Tibet, as the snowy mountain areas offer annoyance to the Generals, as there are continous raids occuring time to time, the first year, the main army, numbering 500,000 go right to the capital, while 150,000 on the north and southern areas of the Kingdom take cities there, again, progress is slow. In the summertime, the campaign still went slow but faster. Technological advances, surplus of supplies, and new Euro-influenced tactics give the Dynasty a much needed advanatage. The army begins an anti-piracy campaign in southeast Asia, an important commercial area.
  • Spain: Their African colonies continue to build up. Spain begins to build up education, infrastructure, and other neccessities in their colonies, knowing that it will be vital for their support. Expeditions across the Pacific continue to go on. They establish a colony in OTL Djibouti. they begin to encourage the growth of the arts.
  • Russia: (Thanks RWG, I am back). The Russian army engages with the French in Moscow, while civilians and some other troops begin burning down the center of the city. Any supplies that can't be taken are burned, and eventually the Russian army withdraws from battle with the French, leaving them with only the supplies they already have, and the long line of supply routes to get new supplies. Meanwhile, a large Russian army is being gathered in the Eastern towns where thousands of Settlers have gone and they are sending over supplies to the Russian army.
  • United States: The United States expands westward, eastward and northward. Meanwhile, the military goes under expansion. Research into railroad and steamboat continue, and will end next year. The US asks to purchase Florida from Spain.
    • Spanish Diplomacy; It politely refuses.
  • Portugal: After the massive success of the princely campaigning in Portugal's African colonies, enough settlers have migrated to OTL Ghana and Mali where slavery is once again prohibited. Portuguese expeditions go to the southern half of Madagascar where a colony will be established next year. PWA (Portuguese West Africa) is expanded and the South African colony is thriving. Angola also prospers. More colonies are being projected. All western colonies in Africa are expanding eastward.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The forts in Africa are built up, with troops being raised from the local population. The Virgin Isles increases its sugar output, and a new Governor is sent to the islands. Duke Frederick Louis leads the army in an invasion of Swedish Pomerania, and asks Portugal for some help. Elections are held, again.
    • Portuguese Reply: Portugal sends money, weapons, and military advisors to help the effort but will not militarily become involved.
    • Mecklenburg-Schwerinese Response: Thank you very much for the aid.
  • Austria: Austria begins rebuilding its forces and putting down revolts across the empire. They are unable to continue fighting after suffering such a major defeat at Vienna.

1810[]

Napoleon, who is still ill, transfers all power to his brother, Joseph, who becomes Emperor Joseph I. Napoleon's second wife gives birth to Napoleon's first son, Napoleon II, who is name the titular King of Rome, like the British's Prince of Wales. Joseph negotiates a peace with all those newfangled nations by ending the War of the Fifth Coalition and restoring status quo ante bellum.

I say this is actually good.

  • Spain: It continues to exploit the riches of Africa. They continue to settle the last southern remnants of Patagonia. They begin to ask the Dutch for an alliance and trade agreements.
  • Portugal: The colony established last year in Ghana and Mali is doing great. The colony planned for the southern tip of Madagascar has been established. Colonies continue to grow and prosper. New colonies are being planned but for now the Crown has decided to expand their existing colonies. PWA will be extended to cover a medium portion of the West African coast, or the Gold Coast. It will be a long strip from OTL Morocco to about OTL Benin. This plan will take three to four years. Meanwhile, the navy is expanded in order to make expeditions to more places in the coming years. The Army also goes through a similar program. All is well for the Portuguese ATM.
  • Russia: More Settlers in the East are sent back West to fight for the Motherland. More supplies are sent West. The miltary, after re-organizing, moves North and re-captures St. Petersburg from the over-extended French. Morale everywhere increases, and the Troops are fighting harders than before.
  • France (mod-controlled): On behalf of his brother, Joseph I ends the War of the Fifth Coalition and restores all borders to status quo ante bellum. He declares that Napoleon's new son is his "son" and heir, and names him the King of Rome, the titular name of the Prince. Meanwhile, Joseph's wife gives birth to a son, Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, Prince of Marseilles and Second-in-line to the Throne.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: Duke Frederick-Louis sends his hearty congratulations to the new French emperor. The campaign in Swedish Pomerania is going well, with Greifswald falling to the Duchy. Charlotte, sister of Duke Frederick-Louis, is officially declared to be in search of a husband. Meanwhile, in the colonies, the sugar industry from the Virgin Isles greatly improve the Duchy's economy, and a profitable ivory trade from the African possessions also help the economy to grow.
  • Qing Dynasty: The invasion of Tibet goes on, though, progress as before is slow, the army though enjoys much success against raids.
  • France (not mod-controlled): As Napoleon slowly recovers, he decides that, at least for now, it is time for peace. Borders that he expanded are fixed and a ceasefire is called. Napoleon's re-inforcement troops arrive at the Qing Empire and will reach Tibet next year to provide assistance. He decides to permanently relinquish his position to Joseph and continues his battle with cancer. The sultan of the Ottoman Empire receives half of Napoleon's troops permanently, to show there are no hard feelings.
  • Matt, you've been suspended for three turns for posting even after it was declared that France is mod-controlled and that he is ill until we say so.
  • I know that was a terrible idea and I am really, really sorry for being so stupid. You know what, I am killing Napoleon off and offering France to a new player . I can't take it anymore!!!! I QUIT!!!!!!!!
  • You can't kill Napoleon off. That's illegal! That's a crime against history!

That's just it. EVERYTHING I do is implausible, every move I make is a mistake, and then I go make a move when he has been transferred to mod control and I get KICKED OFF FOR THREE TURNS!!! I can't do ANYTHING right, he has cancer, anyway, and so I want him dead and I want no more to do with this game because I am fed up, I feel horrible, I am mad and guilty and I'm ruining one of histories most awesome people, so I am quitting the game and letting someone else play Joseph Napoleon and France. This whole game has been a disaster for me, and I can't take it any longer. Goodbye.

He doesn't really have cancer.

I'm sorry, we can lower it to one turn, but I'm afraid no less. I'm sorry if you feel dissed or pissed or whatever.

Now this is probably too soon, but since without France Revolution becomes pointless, perhaps we could create a Viva La Revolution: Revised? Perhaps a new rule that could happen is that very important nations (ex. France, America, etc.) are run by experienced and plausible people, so things don't go nuts, again. ~MP

No, we should let this keep going. But if things get really out of hand: Hello, Vive la Revolution Reloaded! IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1Regen Flag Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 23:16, April 25, 2012 (UTC)'

Lol, I meant reloaded but put revised instead. Fail! ~MP

I don't care. I quit. Nothing you say or do will ever make me return to this game. I'm sorry, but my decision is absolutely final, no ifs, ands or buts. Say goodbye to Napoleon.

OK then, your choice. ~ Scraw

Haha, MP, I was about to say! ~ Scraw

Keep the game going. At least implausibility has been kept at a minimum.--RandomWriterGuy 00:22, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • Mughal Empire: The Mughal Empire now firmly controls southern Persia. The military is still modernized, with new cannons based on European designs being made.

1811[]

Napoleon recovers somewhat. But, however, he will still never be the same and transfers all power to his brother, Joseph.

  • Spain: It slowly expands their colonies. They continue to make expeditions across the Pacific, managing to discover some more islands. They colonize the rest of Patagonia. They make fortifications against the British in the region. They begin expanding into Oregon Territory by establishing a colony at OTL Portland.
  • United States: The United States continues to expand west, east, north, and south. The military is expanded and modernized. Fortifications are built across the country from the Spanish to the south, and the Chinese colony to the north.
  • Portugal: Colonies are thriving, the economy is booming, and society is blossoming. Lisbon is in the home stretch of its renovation to remake it into a world class city, living up the prosperity of the Portuguese. The strip planned for PWA is going good. The navy's expansion is almost completed. King Victor travels to the province of Brazil to meet with the governor and address his subjects there. Soon he will travel to Portugal's new African colonies in Ghana and Mali, as well as Madagascar. To attract workers, he instates a minimum wage law, applicable to all races. As an egalitarian, King Victor wishes his kingdom to be recognized as the most tolerant one in the world.
  • Austria: Austria is currently rebuilding it's military in order to better defend itself, some of the more hawkish commanders seek retribution against the Ottomans for their past defeats.
  • Qing Dynasty: The invasion of Tibet becomes worse as a harsh winter comes in, raids grow in amount of times and numbers, 100,000 die, lowering the invasion to 700,000 men. But, as a result, much of the Tibetan army is diminished, by the next year, the Qing Dynasty will have controlled all the 20 major areas of the Kingdom which would effectively absorb the Kingdom into the Dynasty.

1812[]

The U.S. gets into several conflicts with Indian tribes, mostly with those in the Ohio Valley. Led by Tecumseh, they are deemed to remove the region of American settlers.

  • Spain: From their colony of Portland, they begin to slowly expand through the Columbia River. Most of the settlers are fur trappers aiming to gain wealth from the wilderness. Filipino settlers establish a colony at Eastern Borneo (NO NPC NATIONS SHOULD BE THERE) at OTL Penajam. Spanish whites start to make a sizeable minority in the Philippines. They establish their South African colony next to the Ducth one as a pit stop for ships going to Asia.
  • United States: The United States begins deportations of all Natives from US territories, mostly sending them north into the wilderness of Canada. Tecumesh becomes the most wanted man in the United States, and asks help from Spain to help capture him. Meanwhile, expansion eastward, southward, northward, and westward occurs from the US, even with the increase in attacks on settelers. Establishment of forts along the Mississippi River, the part that is occupied by America on both sides, to protect settlers from the Natives.
    • Spanish Response: Sure.
  • Portugal: Portuguese naval ships reach the Swahili Coast, OTL Somalia, and Papua New Guinea. THe Portuguese lay claim to all these regions and plan to colonize all or parts of these areas. Meanwhile Portuguese settlers continue to expand. Portugal asks Spain if it can buy its colonies on the west coast of Africa, as they are strategically in the way of a planned expansion.
    • Spanish DIplomacy: It declines.
    • Mughal Diplomacy: We contest the Sultanate of Zanzibar, as we wish to claim the region instead.
  • Britain: Colonies are established in New Zealand and Australia.
    • You've had colonies in Australia since 1788. By now, Sydney and Hobart have already been established.
  • Mughal Empire: The empire continues to modernize, although the empire is stalling on cannons. In order to confirm the empire's right to colonies, the empire sends its navy to the Sultanate of Zanzibar, and begin establishing trading posts.
  • Portugal will allow the Mughals to establish a colony there as long as they don't interfere with any other PLANNED claims of Portugal. We will take part of the Swahili coast that you don't take, though.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Ottomans expand West and South in Africa, starting to contest the Europeans. Trade agreements are sent to the Ethiopians. The Empire also offers to help the Mughals modernize.
    • Mughal Diplomacy: Accepted.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: Swedish Pomerania finally falls to the duchy, after a pro-German rebellion swept away the last of the Swedes. It is incorporated into the Duchy as the province of Pomerania. The roads and education in Pomerania are to undergo a similar process of modernisation as the rest of the Duchy did. A group in the Duchy known as the New Holland Company petitions the government to establish a trading post in South-Western Australia, on the Swan River (modern day Perth). The Duke and the Diet accept, and a small fleet is sent with about a hundred settlers and many convicts, soldiers and sailors. They are due to arrive early next year. In the other colonies, Kolonialstag (colonial parliaments) are established, giving them some level of minor self government.
  • Qing Dynasty: The top 25 important strategic, populated areas are under Qing Control in Tibet. The Empress declares the Kingdom of Tibet to be "destroyed and remains now nothing but pages in history!" though, many areas in Tibet still lie in Tibetan control, and a young Prince, the remains of the Tibetan royal family still survives, by the next year though, the nation should be under full control. The colony in Alaska raises it's army to 50,000 in standard. It expands along the cost through the east.

1813[]

Sweden manages to get Prussia to join against Mecklenburg-Schwerin after it seizes Swedish Pomerania. However, the southern German states join Mecklenburg-Schwerin to prevent Swedish influence in Germany.

  • The Ottoman Empire: The Ottoman Empire continues expansion into Africa. Aid is sent to the Chinese against Tibet. Military campaigns begin to take the rest of Persia and it is defeated by then of six months. A movement to outlaw pagan religions begins. The Ottoman Empire sends more people to the Mughal Empire to turn people Muslim.
    • Sorry. The rate of expansion is too big.
  • Portugal: A colony is established at OTL Papua New Guinea, naming it Portuguese Oceania. Settlers migrate by the thousands to the claimed area in OTL Somalia. A colony is established in the entire claimed Swahili coast by the massive settler influx of Portuguese/Brazilians, EXCEPT for OTL Zanzibar/Tanzania which is claimed by the Mughals. Seeking amicable relations with the Mughals, Portugal offers trading agreements and an alliance to them. King Victor dies in Lisbon and is given a state funeral presided over by the Pope. Prince Fernando ascends to the throne as King of Portugal with his wife Louise Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Schwerin becoming Queen of Portugal. Portugal threatens war on Prussia and Sweden if Mecklenburg-Schwerin is invaded.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The Duke urges the Swedes to come to a peaceful solution, and offers to pay Sweden a compensation of 1,000,000 Guilders for five years. Duke Frederick Louis also sends his condolences to the new King of Portugal, and to his sister, the new queen. The colonists arrive on the Swan River in Western Australia. the colony of New Mecklenburg is proclaimed, and the South-Eastern corner of Australia is claimed for the Duchy. A fort is constructed, and a treaty is signed with the tribal elders of the area, giving them hunting rights to the land.
  • Spain: It establishes a new colony at one of the discovered Pacific Islands, Hawaii (only its biggest island). They begin to introduce new plants that cause speculation in Europe, such as pineapples. Another colony is established at OTL Darwin, which is apperently a penal colony. They threaten Sweden and Prussia to protect Schwerin.
    • I'm sorry mate, but Sydney was founded by the British in 1788, which was one year before the game started. The British claimed all of the Eastern half of the continent. You could instead make a settlement in the North or North-West, where no one has claimed.
    • Sorry. I'll change it.
  • Qing Dynasty: All of Tibet is under control, and begins incorporating the territory into China.

1814[]

Sweden refuses the peace from the Duchy, causing Germany and Sweden to descend into war. Denmark-Norway joins the Duchy in the conflict, while Prussia joins Sweden. Every other German state joins the Duchy in the war.

The United States continues to deal with Native American rebellions. Tecumseh is nowehere to be found.

The Swahili tribes demand a land agreement from Portugal so that they would also have it as well.

  • Spain: It sides with the Duchy to protect it from Swedish aggression. They slowly expand west across the Hawaiian Islands, establishing more plantations across the way. Missionaries are sent to the islands to convert the natives to Christianity. They make expeditions across OTL Indonesia, discovering new islands.
    • The Duke thanks Spain very much for its vital support.
  • United States: The United States finally connects to the West Coast by its colony, and beings expanding north and south. An $50,000 dollar bounty is placed on Tecumesh's head, and that anybody with information would be given $1000. Meanwhile, St. Louis and Kansas City are the most prosperous towns on the frontier, with Chicago coming in far second.
  • Portugal: Being an egalitarian like his father, King Fernando I will integrate Swahili tribes into the colony thats been established on the coast, oppression by settlers is absolutely prohibited and a Swahili correspondent is appointed to report these issues. Meanwhile colonies are established in OTL Somalia and the colonies in westt Africa are now connected by a strip of Portuguese colonized land. Portugal lays claim to North (or northwest depending if the Spanish got it) Australia as well as to non-spanish Borneo. Portugal sides with the Duchy and Portugal's professional and modernized army will be mobilized next turn.
    • It would have to be North-West, probably around OTL Broome. And the Duke thanks its old ally for the assistance.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The Duke is taken aback that Sweden did not accept his generous terms, and prepares for war. The armies of the Portugal, Spain, Denmark-Norway and the other German states are a great support, and, thanks to the modern roads and canals, they are able to hold off the Swedes for now. Meanwhile, the small Australian colony, blissfully unaware of the problems in the homeland, are busy colonizing "New Mecklenburg". Food is plentiful, thanks to strong cooperation with the aborigines, and the Governor is entertaining grand plans for the colony.

1815[]

The Swahili tribes demand to have autonomy rule if they are willing to concede to the agreement.

Tecumseh flees west, gaining more supoport as he goes. Indian raids in the south and the Ohio Territory occur.

Denmark-Norway's navy attacks the the Swedish at the southern Baltic Sea. While they are defeated, it causes some damage to the country's war effort.

All the German states (except Prussia) invovled against Sweden form the German Confederation, a loose union aimed at defending themselves from invaders.

  • Spain: They begin to explore the Australian interior. The country begins to undergo a period of modernization and industrialization across the empire, in which the seeds for the Industrial Revolution will be sown. They continue to colonize all of Hawaii and the Oregon Country.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Ottoman Empire continues to expand into Africa.
  • Portugal: King Fernando believes his proposal was fair it gave them even equality and the ability to participate in Portugal's government, an unbelievably rare opportunity in today's world. He warns the Swahili to not demand too much of his already kind government. Meanwhile a portion of Northwestern Australia's coastline is settled by Portuguese immigrants and a NON-Spanish area of Borneo is claimed. Portuguese South Africa is expanded. The Industrial Revolution is soon making its way to Portugal, with the country beginning like Spain, a period of industrialization and modernization (we've actually been doing that for a while). The massive and professional Portuguese Royal Navy is sent to blockade Prussian and Swedish ports. A portion of the army is sent to Mecklenburg to aid their efforts, the Portuguese are coordinating a massive invasion soon with the help of its allies.
    • Spain has settled Borneo, also, it is too ASB to colonize northwestern Australia and Borneo all at once. Just explain you settled the coastline.
    • Borneo hasn't been totally colonized, we took the part where there is no Spanish settlement. I'll fix the Australia part.
    • Ah, it's sort of ASB just to settle a whole coastline in Australia, especially in the West. There, it is mainly desert, and settlements would be limited to individual towns. There wouldn't be a whole settled coastline.
    • Sorry, a portion I meant, like towns and stuff. Also can you please update the map to reflect mine and Spain's new colonial possessions? Thanks!
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: With the assistance of Portugal, Spain, Denmark and the German states, Sweden and Prussia are beaten back in a series of battles in Pomerania and on the Baltic Sea (see the algorithm on the talk page). The Duke attends the opening of the German Confederation, and makes a speech, saying that "All the German states need to work together for defence and economy, but we must also maintain our independence as nations." The veterans of the nations who helped the Duchy are offered free passage for them and their families to New Mecklenburg. Meanwhile, in that colony, another settlement is established, further down the Swan River.

Where is everybody?

Well, I guess the game is dead.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOO! I was doing so well!!
  • Ugh, when I left the game and (attempted to) kill off Napoleon, I never though I would kill the game, but I think this was my fault since the game gets boring without a plotline like the Napoleonic Wars.

1816 (Fun Turn)[]

This is a tradition that carry out when a game dies. We make an ASB turn! Have fun!

  • The Ottoman Empire: The Ottoman Empire completely takes over Africa and kicks everyone's socks off and threatens to burn all the socks in the World unless the Other Guys leave Africa. Family Guy and American Dad are banned in the Empire and Islam becomes the dominant religion, replacing Islam. Islam begins to be so Islamic, that people are so Muslim that they actually become Muslim! A colony is established in the empty part of Australia and people celebrate Ottoman Dominance everywhere just 'cause they felt like it!
  • Qing Dynasty: The Empress orders an invasion of South-East Asia, Japan, Korea, and Central Asia. Problem? (This was actually my plan overall ...) The Dynasty shouts at the Russians for being so Russian, to such a point the Russians have such a low self-esteem they give up any plans to colonize Alaska.
  • Your plan would have worked except for Japan.
  • France: Napoleon, Cabrett, Louis the 18th and Jean I come back from the dead and fight for France. Cabrett being such a nice guy tries to befriend everybody and is killed instantly. Jean teams up with Louis, since Louis is his father after all, and fight Napoleon. However, Napoleon goes totally ASB and kills them both, then retakes France and takes over the world, proclaiming himself God before dying (again) of food poisoning and a rogue Insectus fighter plopped in the wrong map game. Cabrett is reincarnated as Thor XVI, emperor of the Svalbardic Empire in the timeline Arctic Empires. Napoleon is reincarnated as Hitler, once again failing to take Russia. Jean I is reborn as Daniel III, tsar of AE Russia, while Louis' reincarnation takes control of the Inuit Confederation. France, meanwhile, ends relations with the Ottomans and Mughals and gets conquered.
  • Goodbye, France. Goodbye, Vive la Revolution Revised. This was the best map game I have ever played in, and I give thanks to whoever created it.
  • Russia (don't think Taco's coming): The Russians invent that dance where they kick their feet in the air and name it the Cossack. Russian America comes to be when the Russians connect Alaska to Fort Ross. Then they take Finland and Kamchatka and that land Out East. The Exciting East (Wild West parody, lol) becomes very popular in books and movies, so Thomas Edison invents the movie camera just for that! Mathew Brady takes pictures of Tsars across the century and Joseph Stalin becomes democratic and just fixes his moustache up and becomes fatter and fatter while Lenin becomes thinner and balder.
  • Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin: The colony in Western Australia takes over the entire Australian continent, while the African one expands all the way to the Western coast! Meanwhile, in Europe, the Duchy takes over all of Germany, and duke Frederick-Louis proclaims himself "Emperor of the Germans.
    • Goodbye Mecklenburg-Schwerin! May you do as well in Vive la Revolution Reloaded!
  • Portugal: The massively powerful Portuguese army invades Western Europe including Spain, France and Britain as well as all of their colonies. The Great Portuguese Empire comprises of all of Europe soon and has colonial possessions throughout the world. After becoming the world's primary superpower, Portugal nukes the US to rid itself of competition. Portugal bans all languages and Klingon becomes the only legal language.
  • Portugal was fun to play, this game was great!
  • I read this and it looked great, anyone up to try again?
