The Republic of Vermont, colloquially known as Vermont, is an American survivor state located in New England. The republic was formed in 1962 within the former state of Vermont, immediately following the Third World War. In the following decades, the new republic began to expanded rapidly, incorporating the former state of New Hampshire as well as western Massachusetts, northeastern Conneticut and the Adirondack mountain region.
