I wasn't sure how you wished them to work, and I'm fine for them to be set up some other way, there are just so very many Alt-hists that are being expanded that are not making pages specific to their althist. The goal of this wiki, however is to present basic storylines, or start points for alternate histories and to build out from there. Some of the stuff you've contributed, I fear, is more along the lines of copyright violation. [edit] WSMT - Spanish Colonial Empire

Ok, here's the jist of it-

  • Civil unrest in Spain trigered off by the (albeit abortive) French Revolution, and the Patriot movement in the Netherlands cause the spark for the revolts in Spanish America, starting in Mexico, then spreading southward
  • Eventually, with French help, Spain manages to deal with the revolutionaries, and makes Mexico (New Spain less the Captincy General of Cuba), Grenada (New Grenada), Peru and Argentina (Rio de la Plata) dominions, and install Presidents General like in the UPA
  • Later on, Guatemala, Cuba, Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico and Chile become more autonomous from their respecitve Viceroyalities
  • Louisiana, thanks to Anglo imigrants (who harbour republican views) try to make Louisiana (and probably the province of Texas) a republic, but Spain (with some British help) manage to crush the revolt, and Louisiana becomes a Dominion too

You mentioned that you had a world map version of IB in bmp format. I was wondering if you could sent it to me? Yeah, that's fine. There's not _really_ a limit on images, but I really don't want to get image heavy, as I'm not sure how much space wikia will let us have. On the main page, there is a link to the "Most visited articles", but there's always an error when I click on it. If there is a way to show the most visited articles, I'd like it fixed so I can see how mine rank. If there isn't any way, the link should be removed. [edit] Rather than always fixing mistakes...

Since I've noticed that so many people fail to read the instructions and don't put their althist name in parentheses at the end of each article heading (as with "Richard Nixon" et. al., and most recently "Italy" etc.), I've come up with a good idea. After these most recent articles are moved, we can edit the pages with information on how to correctly name articles. I'd be happy to help with that. For example, for just "Spain", the body of the page would say "This page cannot be edited. If you want to contribute, please see the rules here." Then, we could copy and paste that message on almost every conceiveable country's name and famous person. As I mentioned, if you think it's a good idea, I'd be willing to help. --Riction 01:41, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Dan, is there some sort of equivalent to the village pump on this wiki? If not, I think creating one (The Nexus ? the Time Node ?) might help encourage cross-contribution a bit more.

One thing in particular I've notice is the similitude in some timelines or the compatibility (comtemporary POD) os some. Since some prefer on this or that part of the world, it might help create more complex timelines instead of the all those stubs. --Marcpasquin 00:48, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

I'd like to do some cleaning every once in a while and already have experience with being an admin as the founder of the Dutch version of Uncyclopedia , the Oncyclopedie (Rongo is my user name over there). I knew you'd ask me that :). Well, Kentish is a blend of Anglo-Saxon and Norman French-- in other words, it's the language I'm writing in right now! If there's a conlang, it would be Englesk, or whatever the Anglo-Norse end up calling themselves. I've never made a conlang before, though, and I don't speak particularly many real languages, either. Oronos, this is not your timeline. If you want to start your OWN alternate history and incorporate your additions to Toyotomi, go right ahead. I don't want to block you from editing, and I don't want to keep reverting things.
What I did is not vandalism--in case you hadn't noticed, I'm one of the creators of this wiki, which means my word is in essence, law, along with any of the other sysops. I don't want to rule like a dictator, and I've got lots of folks who help me, obviously. My point, Oronos, is what you're doing can be considered Vandalism. So why don't you go cool off for a bit, grow up a bit, and realize that your contributions to Toyotomi timeline are not welcome, but your contributions to this wiki, in your own timelines are, 100%. I really like the Toyotomi timeline and as you probably know (Nik sure does, sorry Nik), am rather interested in Greece and other "Hellenic affairs" and was looking if possible, for me to build up Toyotomi Greece.
