The New Map Game

I have been hearing complaints about you at The New Map Game. To sum it up people are saying you are not following the rules and your additions are implausible. Is this true? Mitro 22:29, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

I would reccomend attempting to sort this out with the other players. If you tried discussing your ideas on the talk page first, you might find it easier to play. Also I have seen some situations of you not following the one year per turn rule. Please do your best to follow that. Mitro 23:37, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
We don't want you to feel like you are being kicked out of the Map Game because we don't like your ideas, we just want you to follow the rules. The last thing we want is to make people feel like they can't play the Map Game.ProfessorMcG 02:01, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Why should I not delete it? From my prespective the only reason you created it was so you can ignore the rules of the other games and do whatever you want. Meanwhile you continue to ignore the rules at the other games and you are starting edit wars with the other gamers. As for plausibility, what does it mean to be modern in the 13th century? In OTL it took the Russians almost 700 years to get where you have them to be now, and you did it in only 9 years. How did they move so quickly? They don't have cars or trains, and even horses would be slow. Who is building the roads and houses for all of these settlers you magic-ed into being? It takes time to consolidate new territory and the amount we are looking would take centuries, not a decade. Mitro 18:53, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

That is silly. Just have a tech edge does not mean you can conquer the world. These Russians are going to have cannons, not muskets, which means they need good roads to move them over (which I have noticed you have not discussed at all). It would take time to build the army for that and what happens when the Russians are cut off without any gunpowder and surrounded by angry nomads? The sheer logistic of what you propose are improbable. No matter how "wise" someone is, that does not make them a magician.
What is important is not the plausibility, but the reason you created this article in the first place. I feel you created it in bad faith and the way you have administered it shows me that you are unwilling to follow the rules that you yourself created and keep changing. Instead of deleting it, however, I think the best thing to do is to rename it and treat it as a timeline you have created instead of a map game. That way you can do whatever you want without anyone stopping you. Mitro 19:06, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Russian Expansion Timeline

Looks like you might want to focus on India and Indochina. Paaaad 00:47, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

India's Broken up into small states at the moment, you might want to put them together. Paaaad 00:56, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

You have Sri Lanka, Kamataka, Kerala, the Chola Empire, The Hindu States, Bengal, Malwa, Sindh, Nepal, and the Ghurid Sultanate. And Thats just in India!

Realism

Unless you don't care for realism, I would suggest that you take a moment to understand the realistic aspects of travel in the 13th century. It is impossible for an army to travel on foot, or even on horseback, and conquer that much territory in one year. You have 800 years ahead of you, take things slow. That is my first suggestion.ProfessorMcG 17:07, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Russian Timeline

Hi, I'm a little too busy to look over your timeline, but at a glance I can't comprehend how Russia got so big, so fast. It's logistically impossible in the XIIIth century. Even by the XIXth century that would be impossible, especially over terrain like Siberia and Russia.

You might want to look into that.

Red VS Blue 17:35, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Russian Exapanism Timeline

you focus too much on russia, the byzantines and china but forgot about india. Is russia under a tsar goverment like OTL or under a normal emperial goverment.

You should introduce the train system in this timeline so it will make more sense how the russian empire expand so quick in just two decades. And an early colonization to Alaska.

Ivan's timeline

I appreciate it that you came to me for help and advice. However, my expertise is mainly on 20th and 21st century Russia. I know very little about Ivan the Terrible, and I think I would be a bad advise giver for this timeline. So forgive me if I am not of any help. But good luck with the timeline. I am reading it, and I do find the idea interesting. Can't wait to read more. --NuclearVacuum 22:55, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Yea, and I like how you're taking things slow. This is a good ideaProfessorMcG 00:37, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Catherine, believe it or not, I have a life outside of this wiki. Because of that I cannot always answer questions posed to me immediately after they are sent to me. Until you realize that it is going to be very difficult for us to have a professional relationship. I also do not take well to people demanding I speak to them, Until you apoligize, I cannot help you anymore. Mitro 02:06, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
Catherine I have been noticing that you have been leaving messages on other people's talk page demanding that they respond to you. This behavior can be considered harrasment. If I ever see it again I will block you from editing for a week. Mitro 02:41, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

I have an AP test coming up so I'm busy right now. I can do it later.ProfessorMcG 01:15, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

I am not that knowledgable about Russian history. I suggest you check out Alternative History:Experts and I wish you good luck on your TL. Mitro 15:45, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

It's all very interesting, but having so many advances in such a short time is very unrealistic. Not to mention that the days when Russia will have unlimited manpower are far ahead.

Did you know that we started? And that right now it's you turn? Get up to date on the rules, and take your turn as USA, Eastward Expansion

1502

Need to be more specific. Which pope, Rome or Toledo? And wouldn't the King of Prussia breaking from the church be more severe than religious tolerance (of which was his fathers policy anyway)Oerwinde 05:04, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Rollback

Hey, I'm Ownerzmcown and I'd like to ask you, a player of the Map Games to go to the Europe 1430 Map Game talk page and vote against allowing the British Group to invade the Germanic Pact near the bottom of the screen, the idea is borderline implausibility and needs to be rolledback! Ownerzmcown 11:47, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

P.S. I know we don't have an ideal history but if you could help me out on this then that'd be great, thanks!

America

during this time America sent Japan most of its oil and metal. Also america was a good economic allie to japan. there are other way's besides military to hurt a nation.--DaBigUn 23:44, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

kool, now watch them struggle, LOL.--DaBigUn 23:54, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

one of two things well happen:

A.They well countinue their expansion no matter what cause now they NEED the resources. They may attack US if it becomes seen that they cant get it. This may start the war in the pacific, or from this they may try to attack Australia before america to secure safe passage to the middle east.

B.They well plead for it back and may give the land back to China (least likely)

PS: here is a third

C. they well become dependent on Soviet oil and steal.--DaBigUn 00:05, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

The soviets aern't on bad terms with them yet, and it looks like they may not be considering the non-aggression pact that was signed.--DaBigUn 00:05, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

I am going for a long wiel, so I well not be able to answer more qautions....but I can talk tomorrow early, aroun 12-1pm Pacific Standard Time and then agian after around 5pm Pacific Stander time.

Russian Empire

Seems like it is logical, albeit I need to go so I was unable to read most of it. I well get back to you on it later, just post a link in my talk page, have a good day otherwise.--DaBigUn 18:53, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Constantine's Russia

You might want to put in some more pics and divide it into paragraphs. It's a wall of text pretty much at this point.

Look as its your timeline its your job to look up these things. Im no expert on russian history so you should rearly ask someone else, However while im not an expert i can give you some pointers (Just this once), Most dramaticly would be the early defeat of Germany in WWI (Or even more dramaticly, no war at all as the Central powers wouldn't want to fight russia). There would probabley be no WW2 as germany would either have been totaly crushed or thier wouldn't have been a first one. Its unlikely that Atomic bombs would be developed either as the desire wouldn't be thier (Atomic energy would still be prominant). Outside that its most likely that the British Empire would still exist and thier would be three world superpowers (Britain, America, Russia). The other point would be that the Russo-Japanese war would never have happened as the russian commanders would have had more senseVegas adict 18:33, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Brazil needs you!

At the moment in the Axis, Alies and Comunisum map game I (as Brazil) am facing a country that has troops being supplied to it by germany and the axis. If you as the USA (Brazils closest ally) could help me out by say lending me the use of the USS Ranger or USS Langley it would be greatly apreciated as it would allow me to stop supplies reaching argentina. Even if you can't do that equipment (especialy aircraft) and training would be apreciated.Vegas adict 21:17, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Woah! In the 1930's and 40's Brazil was Americas closest ally. I understand that Japan is a larger problem but surely it can't hurt to provide a country that supplies you with around half your rare materials and other metals with one or two outdated carriers that serve no proper purpose ( and in the case of the langley were due to be scraped) or with older aircraft.Vegas adict 21:31, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
Thats your choice, just remember that you can't build aircraft (Definetly) or carriers (Greece is the only other posibility) without our metals, We can allways sell them to the UK and FranceVegas adict
Thank you, We wern't threatening you, Just reminding you of the utter dependancy you have on our supplies (PS this is based on HOI and wikipedia) Vegas adict 19:23, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Why Brazil Must End!

Don't listen to Brazil's evil talks! Any nation that so cruelly attacks Argentina shouldn't exist. Furthermore, You clearly have better things to do, like help African countries get independence so that they can be your Puppets States! But Don't Help Brazil!Eastward Expansion 21:21, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Hey! WE ARE TRYING TO GET PEACE WITH YOU AMERICANS! And as soon as peace with you is secured we're going after Brazil, to help Argentina.Eastward Expansion 21:24, May 26, 2010 (UTC)

Russian Empire Artical

The best thing you could do to improve it (Other than updating it to fit your timeline) is to add an Infobox as that normaly makes an artical look more profesionalVegas adict 19:31, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Just have a look at this template and copy the code Template:NationInfo Vegas adict 20:00, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe talk a little about their competitors and it seems just like a/several blocks of text, try to separate (sub-headers and so on) them so that people to look and get discouraged at it. I believe all it needs is some 'tie-t-ing' up; less clutter makes it easier to read.--DaBigUn 22:44, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Titanic, the Luckiest Ship in the World

Thank you! I really appreciate that. I've been a big Titanic know-it-all since I was eight, so I've always wanted to figure out what would happen if the Titanic never sank. If you ever have an Idea, feel free to message me! Tbguy1992 19:53, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

I was thinking something along those lines; although most likely what will happen is that the Britannic will still sink, although with a large loss of life while serving as a hospital ship, so it will become more famous than the Titanic. How does that sound? Tbguy1992 20:08, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

She will; remember the title "The Luckiest Ship in the World?" Its just that the Britannic will be known as wellTbguy1992 20:15, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Russian Empire Article

I don't like your atitude. I tried to read your article. And guess what? I was bored halfway through it! It was way too long and bland. And why the hell would I listen to anyone who tries to rudely force me to read some long-winded, not to mention dull article. It was like I was in history class again! And I say it again: either learn some manners or learn how to accept "No" as an answer. The god-damnned universe does not revolve around you! Please stop pestering me!

Yankovic270 04:41, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

You asked me review you article, and you complain when I don't like it. Let me make this clear. It's not the article thats the problem. It is actually fine, just a little long. It's your attitude that's the problem. How the hell can I stay objective when you insult me when I take too long to answer. Fuck me? No, fuck you! I commented on your precious article, so leave me the hell alone!

Yankovic270 05:05, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

It's because I thought one of your messages on my talkpage was rude and bossy. And I forgive you. I can't stand having enemies. Even online wiki enemies.

Yankovic270 05:13, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Everybody in OTL USA lives in underground cities. If you had read the previous posts, you would realize that theyre probably doing better than anyone else.

Ice Age

Ice ages only last about 80-90 thousand years. Nothing would last for a million years.

Insolence

Just for that rude comment I won't waste my time reading any of your AltHist, I mean how good can it be, you can't even spell "CONSTANTINE". And contrary to you maybe, other users around here do have lives you know; I have finals to study for, I could care less about alternate history at the moment. Mr.Xeight 06:11, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Well then you don't need my help, Mr. Full of himself. Mr.Xeight 17:10, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Evolution Game

Cathlrina, please stop the Ice Ages! An ice age cannot take over again and again!

That was what I was going to say! I mean, is it just me or do most of your recent posts on the Evolution Map Game involve ice and/or death.

Yankovic270 15:55, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

I was just stating an obvious fact! In your recent posts on the Human Evolution Map Game its garaunteed to be either:

a) the ice age getting worse

B) some species dying out

C) All of the above

I mean why so negative? In both your posts and how you respond to pretty much anything. You don't have to be a stuck up brat every time someone complains to you about your work. Typical arrogant Yankee.

Yankovic270 16:12, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Cathlrina, understand something. THERE CAN'T BE AN ICE AGE THAT COVERS THE WORLD NOR AN ICE AGE SO SOON AFTER THE LAST. IT'S PHISICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. Fedelede 16:17, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

It's because what you're adding is literally impossible! And I am not the only one who knows this. And you are acting like a spoiled know-it-all brat.

Yankovic270 17:00, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Cathlrina! stop the Ice Ages! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS A PROBLEM? Arthur the Great, Muslim Caliphate, Ice Age.... JUST STOP IT! Fedelede 18:02, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yes. There were continous ice ages. But

1) Only 1 covered more than 10% of the world

2)None covered 45% of the world

3) None covered all of the world. Fedelede 18:07, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Cathlrina, don't dare make more Ice Ages. I'm tired of you ruining every single map game. And about your stupid "Constantine's Russia"? I don't like it. Your article on Russia is too long, while you barely pay any attention to any other country or page of your timeline. Fedelede 18:22, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Human Evolution Map Game

The Poxians could have kept the area because they could live above land during the ice age while the Columbi had to live UNDERGROUND, Poxians are bigger than Columbi anyway, maybe you should just stop interfering with things, you're getting a pretty bad rep. Smallpox 22:08, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

While it is not completely implausible, in OUR timeline I find it hard to believe that a timeline that suffers such terrible ice ages would have a habitable Antarctic, I'm going to wait and see what the others think, it's an interesting idea though. Smallpox 15:04, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

How about now?

Sorry, I've had a busy weekend, plus satellite internet is no good during the rain storm we had this weekend, but now I can get back to work on the Titanic, the Luckiest Ship in the World timeline. Thank you for your patience! Tbguy1992 15:17, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Right now,m actually! Tbguy1992 15:25, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I don't think their would be two ships that would become museum ships of the same class; it would be to expensive and would take away some of the novelty of a museum ship. One, though, maybe, but not both. And I have to get to that spot anyway, and that may take a while. Thanks for the ideas though! Tbguy1992 17:56, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your support. However, I'm going to be leaving it for a little, just so I can work on my other two for a while today. Yankovic270 18:22, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

God. You must love to hear yourself talk, don't you? You aren't the boss of me. Freedom of Speech. Bossy Yankee bitch! And don't you think I care what you think. As far as I'm concerned, I want nothing more to do with you.

Yankovic270 18:41, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

As I said before, leave me the fuck alone! It's the behaivor of people like you that gives the Americans such a bad name. And as far as I'm concerned its the Prime Minister who's the leader of Canada, not the queen. I am not a royalist, and as far as I'm concerned it is you who is acting like a child.

Yankovic270 19:14, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Then why is it any different when you say something bad about my country? Ever since WWI we have been thinking for ourselves. The Queen's influence on the Canadian government is now more symbolic than anything. The British Monarch is a figurehead if haven't figured that out allready! Typical ignorant American. Knows pretty much everything about your own country, but when it comes to even nearby countries your knowlege becomes zilch. That's why Rick Mercer's "Talking to Americans" act is so effective. It's because you are so goddamn stupid.

Yankovic270 19:24, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Catherine, I'm Fegaxeyl. I've been noticing the intense amount of conflict that's been generated over issues you've been part of; I have opinions on what's been said, but there's no need to share them with you. But I think that, if we're bringing in the governance of my own country into question, I might as well put this record straight before anymore blood is shed. Great Britain (not England, as it's technically not a country) is ruled, nominally, by the Queen. She doesn't have that much control; her head's on the pound coins, she can dissolve and call in parliaments (but this is traditional, rather than a real 'power'), and she is our head of state. She doesn't have that much power. Instead she acts as the last bastion of patriotism our country has; when we associate our own flag with oppression and racism, we need at least something to hang on to, which is what Elizabeth II is. She doesn't have power per se, at least in terms of making our prime minister sign this and that, and the monarch hasn't since the 19th century, but really that's superfluous. She's a head of state, not head of government. She exercises as little real control over the UK as she does any other country in the Commonwealth. Fegaxeyl 19:40, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

If you didn't already notice, your economy's in the shitter and you are stuck in a pointless war in Iraq. You would think that you Americans would have learned your lesson with Vietnam. I think Canada is the least of America's worries, if they are on the list to begin with.

Yankovic270 19:44, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

It's because we always find a way to piss each other off. You are right. It'd be wise for us to stop communicating with each other.

Yankovic270 21:41, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Help please?

You don't need to be snippy with me, I have other things on my plate. If you are going to be pushing me into doing what every you say, than I shouldn't read your article at all. I am not a site admin here, I don't have to be doing these things, but I do them because I love to help. I will get to your article when I can, but if you are going to be pushing me and shouting out at me to go faster, than I shouldn't do anything for you what so ever. --NuclearVacuum 01:39, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

It's okay, no problems. I would be interested in reading your article, but I won't wait a month to do so. But what exactly do you want me to look for? --NuclearVacuum 02:15, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
I am so sorry for the delay, but I have read through your article. Please know that my expertice is on post Revolution Russia and onward, so I know very little about the Russian Empire. But from what I have read, it sound pretty good on my end. --NuclearVacuum 20:47, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

Must...control....Myself....

I'm going to say this once: PLEASE STOP HARASSING ME! I will work on it in my OWN time, not yours. I tried to calmly tell you now, and my exact words was that Imight, not that I would. If I get any more messages, I will contact the moderators. I really am getting sick and tired of you pushing me.

There. Rant over. Please leave me alone. Tbguy1992 16:55, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Do you realize how hard it is to work on anything in this Wikia if a message keeps popping up every time I refresh the page or go to another article? And most of it is you begging me to work on something that I don't want to at the moment.
A few things about me: I can't focus on things for along time, so I can't be constantly working on one Timeline: that's whay I have French Trafalgar, British Waterloo, Mein Fuhrer, Albert Speer, Titanic, the Luckiest Ship in the World and currently working on the Allies, Axis, and Communism Map Game. I need variety. I get bored and can't think straight if I keep working on one for longer than I can. And, I do have a short fuse. Sorry. Tbguy1992 17:04, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
P.S. I apologize a lot, mostly because of the short Fuse. Sorry. And sorry about the apologizing and about not being able to work on Titanic now....and sorry for that. Tbguy1992 17:07, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
I've just been busy with the rest of my life, and I've been working on some research so that not everything I put on the Titanic timeline would be completely outlandish: It is taking some time, but I think I have a rough Idea what I will be working on. But, Like I said before, I can't force myself to do stuff like that or it will be no good. But, thank you for your patience. Tbguy1992 17:38, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Europe 1430

Two things to consider: First was that the last edit was last night. Just because no one posts IMMEDIATELY doesn't mean its abandoned. People have other lives. 2nd)Do you really want it to continue? It turned to garbage about 1522 when someone broke the rules and edited my turn to make the UKDS the dominant trading nation because of a technology that can be duplicated simply by seeing one ship in port.Oerwinde 18:12, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Haha, sorry Catherine. I give you power to do whatever you want with Europe 1430. I'm pretty busy because school is almost over and in case you haven't noticed I've kinda abandoned Europe 1430.ProfessorMcG 21:37, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
I never said that it would take Prussia two decades to match Sweden's industrial power. i meerly stated that after his first failed attempt at industrialization, Frederick turned his mind back to conquest, and would focus on subjugating the surrounding nations for several decades. Destroyanator 04:21, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Wow, you're mature. you need to calm down and have patience. when you edit, you want to have everything your way, right away. if you want to create a truly powerful nation, you need patience.

I don't need reminders

You've written some great stuff, but I don't need these constant reminders that are popping up on my talk page. As Oerwinde says, we have lives (not that you don't), and I'll post when i want to.

Queenliness

Continuing on from above...

Well, even the royal prerogative is still controlled, to a degree, by parliament. Once again its really a de facto thing, a matter of national pride: we all want the monarch to have a say in the military affairs of her own country, but none of us really want her in total control, which is why her powers there are marginal. If the Queen, or any other monarch, did attempt to push through certain issues it would first soak up a lot of flak in parliament, even/especially if the organ had been bypassed, and then probably a lot of doubt amongst the population of Britain; for the most part we want to preserve the monarchy, but we're also very democratic (and, unfortunately, beuracratic), so we'd expect protests, disagreement, and probably a call to make the reigning monarch step down. We like the Queen as a head of state, but not as a head of government. Fegaxeyl 10:05, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Do you have something against Calvinists? Sheesh! BoredMatt 23:54, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... Well, I suppose an ideal starting point for exploring the possibilities for alternate history with Elizabeth II is here, the category for Elizabeth II on Wikipedia. You can navigate out from there to various topics dealing with the monarchy. And there really isn't a better summary for here life than her Wikipedia page , which at the bottom has a pretty extensive navigation box dealing with topics of her life. If you wanted suggestions as to how she would govern... well, I imagine she would have to be a fairly technologically-minded monarch, given Britain's 1950s sense of being on the verge of the future, something which she may have wanted to capitalise on in your timeline. One example of our 'radical' forward-thinking of that time was the pretty impractical but doubtlessly cool Fairey Rotodyne , which (along with similar developments) you might want to include in your timeline. And just a few more categories and pages for you to explore: here, here, and here . Enjoy the reading! Fegaxeyl 08:22, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

What would life be like? That would depend on how the Queen played her cards. If she did things right - appeasing both the conservative elements and adopting some ideas (such as the NHS) from the left - she'd be very popular in Britain, and probably have a small cavalcade of affectionate nicknames. People would start calling it a 'second Elizabethan age', and you'd probably see Elizabeth (and variations upon it) as the most popular girl's name in the country for a long stretch. The Commonwealth may be a bit stronger, but then again it may be a bit more divided if the Queen exercised her royal powers in the other countries that she's nominally monarch over. Of course, the Queen couldn't just barrel in and say: "Take a hike Churchill (the current PM), I'm running things now." She would probably have to make subtle hints to her strategy over several years as she builds up confidence using her powers, and would have to initially work closely with Parliament. Luckily at the time of her inauguration she's got Winston Churchill, probably the most popular Prime Minister ever, at her side, and if she cooperated closely with him and used rhetoric of pointing out how Britain was stronger with a confident monarch she would establish a firm foundation on which to justify exercising her powers liberally, and might even call for a referendum in the 60s or 70s to fully legitmise her power.

Conversely, if she took the whole thing the wrong way and did not get off to a good start it would take a long time for her reign to recover, if at all. If she bluntly uses her power to do everything then people are going to get intensely annoyed and probably try to force her abdication by the 70s, something that would seriously rock Britain's foundations as we consider whether or not we really want a monarchy. This would probably also be something of pride for the Soviets, as they see the 'inherent oppression of the bourgeois and monarchists' collapse after it disenfranchised the working class, leading to increased confidence on their part and possibly the left wing in Parliament growing stronger, with Labour never adopting its New Labour policies. That's pretty much all I can think of right now. Fegaxeyl 09:32, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

I find the entire idea of this Royal Perogative timeline rediculous. I think i am similar to most of the population in the UK in this way, Most of the UK tolerates the royal family as a matter of national pride but in the only time in recent history that the monarch tried to do somthing without the aproval of Parliament he was forced to abdicate. So even though in your TL she might adopt ideas from parliament she would still be totaly bound by parliament or risk a civil war. In fact even her aceptance speach would cause massive Republican dissent and no matter what she adopted the idea of her forcing things through without parliament would problabley cause rioting from republicans and undoutably a civil warVegas adict 20:50, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Actualy the British Army is subserviant only to Parliament, and in the late 1960's the UK voted in a labour government which would 100% be against the queen using them for her own purposes and even if the queen did influence elections you would still end up with a labour government or a civil war when they were never elected (Despite the population voting for them)Vegas adict 21:11, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Inca

Regarding your edit to Europe 1430: Why would the inca emperor convert his nation to roman catholicism, the only europeans he's met are hussite, and he made first contact only a couple years before. The entire population of the inca are Inti.Oerwinde 17:04, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Wanted to explain the big about face on your Inca edit when I posted mine afterwards, just so you don't think I purposefully nixed your powerful inca idea. Contact with the europeans was new, they would be beginning to be devastated by disease and such, worst time to begin expanding really, though that wasn't stated before so no prob. Expanding to more than twice the size in a year would put a huge strain on resources and especially soldiers. So anyway, I reduced the size the next year to show the problems this would have caused, but made sure to show that the Emperor was using the situation to his advantage, an excuse to import european experts to modernize the nation where the populace would most likely be resistant to adopting european ways otherwise.Oerwinde 08:27, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Like it?

That, aside from basic limitations on human ability ( i.e no killing or you will be killed, etc.), people should be able to do what they want, when they want. The one basic rule in a perfect society for me would be that nobody should do smething that they wouldn't want to be done to themselves. It's easier if you ask on specific topics. I think that any government at all should be an Ayn Rand-style minarchist gov., and should only exist to garentee rights that existed before government itself existed.

I basically said what I thought on government, look up Minarchist if you want a better description. On the economy, I think that, if left unregulated from the beginning (and with a strong judiciary and.....well, gun rights) that the economy would prosper.

What are your political beliefs?

British Empire Timeline

I think one of the best would be Washington Shot at Murdering Town!, although some such as British Louisiana and London Event are also good, although need to be developed more. If you look hard enough, their are some like British Empire Wins! and Biggger British Empire, which are decent. If this will stop you from driving me crazy about the Titanic timeline, I will do anything.

P.S. If you really, really want to, you can update Titanic, the Luckiest Ship in the World, but if you do, I will have final say over what goes in. If it doesn't sound plausible or it is absolutely ridiculous, its being deleted. Other than that, go ahead. OK? Tbguy1992 18:07, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Politics

I am a Liberal, somwhere between a Socialist (or Communist if you prefer to use that term) and a Conservative. As such, I do believe in the protection of people's rights and freedoms, as Libertarians do, but, unlike Libertarians and Conservatives, I believe that the government can use it's power to help those who cannot help themselves. Libertarians don't support most welfare programs because most of the people on welfare CAN support themselves if they put down their bongs and looked in the classifieds. We DO support welfare for people that are mentally-phisically disabled.' As such, I support free health care , free education, and welfare, including free lunches and breakfeasts at school, the providing of grants to attend college, the encouragment of higher education standards, free health care insurance, free health benefits, responsible and effective hospitals, as well retirement benefits, elderly penisions, unemployment benefits, unemployment assistance, the right of unions to form and meet, regulations on industry to maintain the economy, regulation of the stock market, as well benefits related to single mothers, economically burdened families, and benefits concerning medicine and basic health needs. Nothings free. That's the biggest beef I have with liberals. This is all payed for by taxes on everybody. How does in your beliefs "protecting peoples rights and freedoms" coexist with the belief that a country is entitled to practically stealing part of what someone makes with their own two hands, on the assumption that they are entitled to it because the person simply happens to reside within said country. I am a strong advocate of universal health care, as previously stated, and I do believe in the equality of all people and protection of civil rights, but I hate the "non-inteference" policies of the Libertarians and Conservatives in which they believe not to help sustain the peoples of this country. The economy does far better with no regulation then with some. Also, the CFI of the US has been falling steadily ever since the Federal Reserve Act. Japan's, Korea's, and Germany's have been rising steadily for the last 30-40 years. These countries have as little regulation as possible, and look where that's gotten them. Singapore would never be able to survive without its non-interventionist policies. All the corporations would move out.. I oppose un-duly interventions in other countries in foreign affairs, and interventions only in the name of combating terrorism and insuring the social and politcal security of free peoples all over the world from threats of terorism. AGREED!!! However, we do need a strong military, primarily the Navy, for defense and rapid strike capabilities. If there was one good thing Dick Cheney has ever said, it's that you can't have all your precious freedoms without having my precious military there to protect them. I believe in the UN, and in efforts of maintaining peace, justice, and security across the planet for all nations.Agreed, but it doesnt really work. We need to replace France and Britain with a single EU seat, and then add India, or Brazil. I support the elimination or at least partial restriction of poverty Who doesnt!! and of giving aid to countries who cannot help themselves. I also believe in strong relations between the United States and Britain, the US and Canada, the US and Mexico, the US and Russia, the US and Australia, the US and India, the US and Africa, and the US and the European Union. Agreed!! Though doing so at the cost of losing the popular support of ''''America isn't the best thing to do.

Europe 1430 India

Nothing has been written about india until the 1570s so we can assume that it developed the same as OTL. So it would actually be the Mughal Empire, an islamic imperial power that was established in 1526 and controlled most of the indian subcontinent by 1600.Oerwinde 21:02, June 5, 2010 (UTC)

Kingliness

The timeline is interesting so far, but unfortunately you've picked the one point in history I don't know that much about! Regardless of that it seems fairly logical, though it does make George III seem a bit of megalomaniac with the brutality he switches prime ministers. I'm reminded of Charles I, who tried something pretty similar - and ended up will Oliver Cromwell chopping his head off and establishing a republic. Hopefully George III, if he wishes to preserve his power for himself and following generations, will learn from the mistakes of his predecessor and try to prevent rebellion against him. I'm going to have to agree with Arstarpool here. If I get one more complaint by the end of day, then you'll have to go. While he's been a bit excited about it, I admit I've been in the same boat with you a few times and it took all my restraint to not ban you a few times, but I was trying not to abuse the mod powers since I was new. VENEZUELA is actually from Venezuela I believe, so english isn't his first language. Everyone else knows this and tries to work with him rather than saying, to paraphrase: "You suck, learn english". Some of our more prominent editors don't speak english as a first language, and most editors welcome spelling/grammar, etc. corrections on their articles. Racist

  • "XterrorX, I think you are racist." - True. I'm not lying or making up excuses, I tell whoever asks me, that yes, I am a racist. However, I view and treat some races with more "troublesome" expats (e.g. Arabs, Africans) differently than others (e.g. eastern Asians) who integrate easier into western nations.
  • "Your thoughts about Europe being white, Africa being black, and Asia being Asian are not actually true." - Actually, seen from a Darwinist/evolutionary point of view they are true. However, realizing that you are being deceived by a religion and will counter anything I say, I know that I can't convince you on this subject so I will not even bother to try.
  • "You advocate communism, with the state controlling the lives and actions of the people." - No. As you could've read on BoredMatts talk page, I am not a Communist. As I said there; Communism had its chance, died with its creators during the fall of the USSR and would only be applicable in a perfect world where no one is corrupt and greedy. I am a Syndicalist and I suggest you to read the Wikipedia article regarding that ideology, since its a light read and I don't really feel like typing an essay about it right now.
  • "You are a Atheist, people who do not believe in the Lord, who is the creator and ruler of the entire universe." - Correct, despite the fact that I was raised in a strict religious family of Jehovah's Witnesses, I converted to Atheism (with some help from my teacher and girlfriend's brother) when I was fifteen.
  • "The ideas about humans coming from monkeys is baloni created by some mentally dimented 19-century man." - Without referring to your God or the Bible, where do we come from then? To be honest, I find a gradual evolution taking millions of years from ape to man more likely than some invisible guy in outer space creating everything and everyone in a mere week. Now I have some questions for you that made me lose my faith back in the day.

1. Why was Jesus, a criminal in the eyes of the Romans, put in a tomb instead of being burned or put in a mass grave (which was customary back then)?
2. Why is the talking snake in the Garden of Eden literal, but Jesus' command to give away everything his followers own metaphorical?
3. When Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden, they became mortal, imperfect and the only two persons on the face of the planet. Still they managed to procreate and many years later the Earth was filled with their apparent offspring. This would've meant massive inbreeding back then, which as we all know now greatly increases the chance of giving birth to disabled children. Why aren't we all disabled then?
4. If we are all children of Adam and Eve, why do we all look different? And what race would Adam and Eve have been, since today we have Mongoloids, Caucasoids, Australoids, Negroids and Capoids!
5. According to the Bible, God never had a beginning and never will have an ending, which means he's invincible and been around longer than we mortal creatures can imagine. If that's true, why did he create everything so late (according to the Bible, Earth alone exists for just ~3000 years)?
Looking forward to your response, XterrorX 19:15, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Answers:

If you are monitoring this page, XterrorX, Catherina has been banned, it seems, but you deserve answers to your questions, so here they are:

1. Why was Jesus, a criminal in the eyes of the Romans, put in a tomb instead of being burned or put in a mass grave (which was customary back then)?

Actually, though he was executed on trumped up charges of sedition, Jesus was executed as a Jew, and had the rights of burial rightfully his. When Joseph of Arimathaea, a member of the Jewish leadership, asked for the body of Jesus, it was given to him.

2. Why is the talking snake in the Garden of Eden literal, but Jesus' command to give away everything his followers own metaphorical?

Jesus was quite literal when he demanded of the "rich young ruler" to give everything away. It was not a command to everyone, but only to that one young man. Incidentally, the young man was unwilling to do it and abandoned his quest to follow Jesus. Though the snake was literal, as was Jesus' command, there are indeed metaphors - and similes and other figures of speech - throughout the Bible.

Have you ever studied anything about genetics? The reason that inbreeding raises the chance of malformations is because a mutation found in only one parent will not be passed on to the next. The mutation has to be found in both parents to make a change in the child.
But Adam and Eve had no mutations to begin with. Mortality was their only "imperfection" physically. And that imperfection was indeed passed on to the next generation. The other mutations, though, would take hundreds of generations to build up. Even today, inbreeding does not inevitably create defects. It only greatly increases the chances of such deformities.
Now, after hundreds of generations, the mutations have had time to build up -- we all have accumulated mutations of different types. The chances of us passing these on increase if we mate with someone with genetic material drawn from the same recent ancestor, that was not the case in the early days. In fact, in evolutionary terms, all people would come from a single pair as well. What makes THEM different than Adam and Eve?

4. If we are all children of Adam and Eve, why do we all look different? And what race would Adam and Eve have been, since today we have Mongoloids, Caucasoids, Australoids, Negroids and Capoids!

Adam and Eve were of the same "race" as you and me -- the HUMAN Race. We look "different" due to the vast amount of information in the human DNA. Recombinations of this information has produced over the course of thousands of years, the variation we see today. And the differences on an actual biological and cellular level are very small -- in the range of a tenth of a percent, in fact.
I recommend the study of, or at least the reading of some articles on, genetics. It is incredible what goes on at the molecular level.

5. According to the Bible, God never had a beginning and never will have an ending, which means he's invincible and been around longer than we mortal creatures can imagine. If that's true, why did he create everything so late (according to the Bible, Earth alone exists for just ~3000 years)?

A quick response would be "Why not?" Of course, the record of the Bible indicates around SIX thousand, not Three thousand, years.
A little longer answer would require an attempt at comprehending infinity. And that would require much more than our finite minds can accomplish. Suffice it to say that God is "outside of" time and space, and as such is not influenced by how much time we as a race have lived upon this planet. He could have created it and "walked away," but He chose instead to interact with us. The ultimate interaction was Jesus Himself -- taking the penalty for our sin upon Himself at just the right time in human history.

I truly hope this helps. --SouthWriter 16:51, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Also, God created time, so he was, in fact, timeless. So he did not actually wait time, because before them, time itself did not exist.

  • "You are Racist, Communist, and Athiest! I am presenting that argument because you hate Africans, Arabs, and East Asians, you advocate the cleansing of Native Americans, you believe in the monkey evolution theory, and you hate God!"
    • I explained I am not a Communist, unlike yourself. I don't hate non-whites, I simply believe that they belong exclusively in their respective ethnic motherlands, which also goes for my own race, the Caucasians. I will never endorse the ethnic cleansing of native Americans or any other atrocities committed during the time of colonization. If something had to change in the Americas, it should be all whites in North and South America to return to Europe and the land returned to the natives. I also don't get where you got the idea that I hate East Asians, since three of my best friends are in fact Chinese. I only said that I tolerated them more than other groups, since they actually integrated into their host county. Also, the main problems I have with Arabs is the extremist attitude some appear to have towards the Islam (9/11 ring a bell?) and their disgustingly arrogant stance against the indigenous inhabitants of Europe (fun fact: my god fearing sister was actually raped by a one of them when she was sixteen, and where was her God to save her?). Also, you have yet to answer questions 2 and 3 and burn in hell to you too, girl. Seriously though, it's getting old after three years, so just cut it out. --XterrorX 20:09, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

You have the right to believe whatever you want and so do I. If I had known you were just out to call me a racist pagan, I would have ignored you. Oh well, at least now I know why everyone on this Wiki dislikes you. :) --XterrorX 20:33, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think I presume too much, I just form an opinion based on what I read. And since you have been banned from this and and another Wiki and often seem to get into heated debates that's just what I think. One piece of advice from me to you; don't rely on others' opinion so much. You keep asking users here to review and give their opinion about your articles, which in some cases can get really annoying for the concerning persons. I think that if you are proud of something you wrote, you don't need other peoples' approval, although any sort of (constructive) criticism should be welcomed. Also, I'll just forget about the conflict we had today and as far as I'm concerned we'll just start over with a clean slate. ;) --XterrorX 20:56, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Green Crystal

What is this wiki? I mean the one the green crystal is on. First of all when I first read that article, a had no clue what was going on. I kinda need a little explanation. Could you tell me what all these planets are? I'm totally confused.

BANHAMMER

Ok, so you were banned once, came back, and within 2 freaking days you managed to piss off every person on this wiki again. I gave you three strikes

  • Harassing Fedelede and TBguy
  • Harassing VENEZUELA
  • Harassing XterrorX

You are done. And no one will miss you.Oerwinde 21:07, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

That's what you get for harassing everyone here, especially Fedelede and Vene. Calling someone a racist, a spic, and any other name under the sun will get you tarred, feathered, and shot down in real life. Arstarpool 21:40, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Heh, funny. I just kinda forgave her for her sudden, unsuspected attack and bigotry and still she ends up getting smacked with the almighty Banhammer. Oh well, I guess she got what she deserved. Its an indefinite ban, right? --XterrorX 21:58, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

It's a 1000 year ban. Like it is literally for a period of one millenia. She will be able to resume activity on July 4th, 3010. Arstarpool 22:01, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Really? Lol :D

Well, that means her grand-grand daughters can take over her duties on July 4th, 3010 if we're still here. Fedelede 22:54, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Answering XterrorX

Hi, Catherina. Are you going to answer admitted atheist XterrorX's objections to the Christian faith? His questions are stock objections that are very easily answered. His rejection of the faith (though not technically (ie historical, orthodox) Christian) for atheism has clouded his thinking and he will most likely reject simple, clear and obvious answers any way. However, I have the answers and will post them in my name if you do not want to attempt to answer him first.

If I answer, I will answer both on your talk page and on his. SouthWriter 15:38, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Catherine's been banned so you can go ahead if you want.Oerwinde 16:22, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Hello

Hello there, I dropped by and thought I say hello. Anyway I'm new here and so far I created four articles, two of them are related to WWI between the US and the UK. Max117D 00:25, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

IP Ban?

Just want to know if she was IP banned or not. It is relatively easy to change your IP. Just saying. CrimsonAssassin 22:46, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

When a user name is banned, the ip address used to create it is automatically banned as well. Now I am going to protect this page from editing, there is no point to hold conversations on a permanently banned user's talk page. Mitro 01:27, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
