The United States presidential election, 2004 was a presidential election, held in November 7th, 2000, which saw the victory of Republican candidate George W. Bush (who ran in 2000 as well, but lost to Al Gore) against Progressive candidate John Kerry. In this election, the Democratic Party did not line up any candidate, instead endorsing the Progressive one.
