Charter[]

In 1983 the United Republics: Brazil, Peru and Bolivia sat down to write the Treaty of Cordoba 1983. Under this treaty the UR received their support to write a charter to create a new UN, having proven the UN incapable of helping avoid conflict having seen examples including the Middle Eastern War, UK-France conflicts, and political issues concerning Peru and the United Republics.

The charter of the United League of Nations stems from its two past forms. However, due to the Zombie virus outbreak from 1969, the United Nations has essentially been dissolved and rendered incapable of action.

The group of nations that agree to the charter and creation of this geopolitical organization, agree to do so and subscribe to the peace-making efforts of this organization,

From this the United League of Nations will have the following departments under its control and leadership:

  • Peacekeeping Task force (deployed at a majority vote of the Council, and a majority vote of the Permanent Council)
  • United Food and Shelter Force
  • International Justice Department
  • United Communications Department (Postal-radio, looking for life in infested areas etc)
  • They also extend an invitation to the United Cure Organization

Issues will brought through statements through the General Assembly, which all nations that accept the Charter will be a part of. These nations will also always have a representative on hand to deal with any crisis that may arise. The temporary HQ will be in Montevideo, Uruguay. HQ will be decided on within the first meeting with regional HQ in safe stable territories.

  • Republic of Susquehanna: Texas (The RoS would like to participate, but would prefer to remain off the Permanent Council Regional Representatives for the first five years due to damage from the hurricane) Daeseunglim (talk) 17:21, May 22, 2013 (UTC)
  • Chan Santa Cruz: Chan Santa Cruz. We are at present the only choice for our region.

Resolution 003.1 and 003.2[]

Should the ULN send a peacekeeping for to cool tensions along the Italian border region?  Should the ULN send diplomatic aid and mediators to attempt a peaceful resolution of previous events?

Please say your nation name and yea or nea to both 003.1 and 003.2.

  • United States: Yes
  • Scandinavia: Yes
  • Kingdom of Italy: Yes
  • Republic of Susquehanna: Yes
  • Chan Santa Cruz: Yes.
  • URSA (United Republics Space Station): Offers the URSA Space Station to be used as a starting point for the International Space Program.
    • Texas approves. We also offer parts of the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston for ULN use.
  • Russia: Yes.

Resolution 005[]

Condemns the Kingdom of Italy for mistreatment of Prisoners of War, specifically its ZXM program, which takes ten prisoners and unleashes ten Zombies upon them before killing all of them. Economic sanctions will also be placed until they end the program, except in the cases of food and medicine or other humanitarian items.

Italian Ambassador: The ZXM program has been misunderstood. The ZXM program is where the men do this to camps of men NOT prisoners of war. The camps are of front line enemy troops that have NOT been captured.

Texas Ambassador: The Geneva Conventions clearly states that "Persons protected by the Convention are those who, at a given moment and in any manner whatsoever, find themselves, in case of a conflict or occupation, in the hands of a Party to the conflict or Occupying Power of which they are not nationals." If you are putting them in cars and taking them to camps, they are prisoners.

Scandinavian Ambassador (This is Rex): I believe Octivian means that they take ten Zombies, drive to enemy front lines, and drop the ten Zombies into the enemy camp.

Texan Ambassador: The Italians stated that "ZXM is where the military takes a car with ten men and ten Zombies inside it. They take it to a camp. They deploy all the Zombies onto the men, and watch them all get contaminated. They kill all the Zombies and take ten for the next camp." They take ten men to begin with, they don't just unleash Zombies. Furthermore, they're taken to 'camps' to die. That's very out of line, and it's a war crime.

Italian Ambassador: The Scandinavian ambassador is correct, and the ten men are soldiers to kill the Zombies when it is done. I will write a page on this for further understanding. It is suspended until further notice

Chan Santa Cruz Ambassador: Zombies are not to be used as weapons of war. This is not a game. (LOL)

  • Texas: Yes and yes
  • RoS: Yes and No (Military Sanctions approved, allow humanitarian aid to go through, please).
  • United States: Yes and Yes.
  • Scandinavia: Abstains, and no
  • Chan Santa Cruz: Yes and Yes.

EDITED

Resolution 006[]

  1. Calls for the Kingdom of Italy to be immediately and permanently suspended from the organisation.
  2. Calls to add the following section to the Geneva Convention and Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

"Under no circumstances ever occurring at any time, in any place, on Earth or wherever humankind or other lifeforms (whether sapient or not, discovered at the time of writing or not and including any exolife - that is life originating outside Earth) should ever be found, Zombies or the Zombie Virus (even in a modified form) or such a pathogen  or nano-technological device or robot or computer program as gives to all intents and purposes the same effect upon any life form (whether sapient or not, discovered at the time of writing or not and including any exolife) as the virus has upon Homo sapiens may not be used in combat or during warfare or with the intention of causing another life form (whether sapient or not, discovered at the time of writing or not and including any exolife) harm in any degree."

  • Chan Santa Cruz: Yes
  • Russian Federation: Agreed
  • United States: Yes
  • Texas: No and Yes
  • Scandinavia: No and Yes
  • Republic of Susquehanna: Yes and Yes

Discussion[]

  • For crying out loud, Palestine, a terrorist nation hell-bent of killing innocent Jews in Israel, still has a place in our UN. This really is ASB, in my opinion. No nation has ever been removed from the UN.
  • In addition, the Italian government, after the public uproar, has put the program on hold. A better resolution would be to kick Italy out if they continue their policy, which it appears to me that they will not.
  • My final point (sorry), is that this entire program was ASB from the start. The fact that Croatian/Venetian troops allowed Italian troops to drive up to their army camp is absurd. This would have never happened, and could not happen. A retcon of this whole event might be needed, or a mod event stating that the ZXM never actually succeeded - they would've been blown up before it could've worked. Reximus55 (talk) 19:31, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • Either way if it didn't happen, it would've been an attempt, which still goes against the Geneva Convention, I mean it does say: with the intention of causing another life form. Edboy452 (talk) 19:40, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • It might be better to temporarily suspend him until the program ends, which apparently it has. Once ULN peacekeepers have assessed the situation and reported that the program is halted then he can be un-suspended. Mscoree (talk) 20:58, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • Also assume that ZXM wasn't successful. The fact that he even attempted it is why it's so controversial. Mscoree (talk) 21:00, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • I agree that we should change suspension to temporary if at all. Texas has changed its vote to reflect this. Doctor Evulz (talk) 22:37, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • Russia agrees to make the suspension temporary as well. However, the embargo will still be placed on Italy until further notice. Our government says that the Kingdom of Italy should be suspended for a minimum of two years (eight turns). Edboy452 (talk) 22:47, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • UR nations all agree that a temporary suspension from voting, note they can still observe, until the conflict is resolved, is the best way to go. G greg e (talk)
  • So it is resolved? Temp suspension and that is formally added into the various documents? As of when?David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk)
  • Temporary I agree Daeseunglim (talk) 19:01, June 16, 2013 (UTC)

    • A nation good sir, not a person, and you are already on the council.
    • Oh LOL. Sorry, I'm in a bit of a rush of doing something right now.
  • Russian Federation: We would like to represent our region for the ULN Council. Edboy452 (talk) 23:39, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
  • Texas: We would like to renew our term.
  • Republic of Susquehanna: We would like to take Texas' seat on the Council.

Resolution 007[]

To prevent one nation from holding a seat as a temporary member of the Council, the RoS proposes that every election period, that nation cannot be re-elected for another two voting periods.

  • RoS: Yes
  • United States: No
  • UR nations: Abstain
  • Texas: No
  • Nordic Germany: Yes
  • Chan Santa Cruz: No... Unless our amendment is passed.
  • Scandinvia: No
  • Wu: No

Potential Amendments[]

Chan Santa Cruz: Unless they are the only member able to speak in the ULN on behalf of that region. Otherwise. nations are being unfairly punished for joining.

Another idea would be more and more of a vote required each consecutive term.

Yet another idea would be cannot serve the next term.

Resolution 008[]

As will be obvious to all events in Texas have take a turn for the worst. Thus we ask that "Operation Nova" be launched to clear out those who believe that Zombies are actualy good. We ask for the ULN to intervene and restore the rightful government, and stability, to the nation. We urge you to act because a Rezurectioist state is a real possiblility, and would be catastrophic for the region, possibly even the world. Do not think that they would heed warnings or the outcome of Resolution 006. But we can stop this. Act now. Chan Santa Cruz is ready to act, and indeed will do so, but we would like support. Beyond the barricades is there a world you long to see? Then join in the fight that will give you the right to be free.

Chan Santa Cruz: Yes.

Republic of Susquehanna: Yes.  We are hosting the Texan Exile Government.  Supplies and troops are being readied for operations with the Texan military remnant.

Dinetah: Yes.

You know this is religious discrimination, right?

Which country? If this is a person, not a country then... If you seriously believe I descriminate religiously then you are wrong. I am pretty open. My country I choose to play as, however, is a) Christian and b) Human - thus we are opposed to a state existing which compromises our security. It's like Israel is averse to Palestine, or vics versa. David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk) 15:43, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

Resolution 009[]

It is obvious that the nation of Canada has been taken by a corrupt regime which endangers the peace of the world. Their threats of biological strikes should not go unpunished. Thus, we ask that the United League of Nations should contain and pacify this threat that threatens the lives of our civilians. The Russian Federation is ready to respond to any situation and will do so if needed.

Russian Federation: Yes.

United States: Yes.

United Republics: Already has begun to liberate and aid Vancouver.

Resolution 010[]

Vietnam has been settling in already claimed territories of the Republic of Wu, thus staging a form of invasion. However, the Republic of Wu would like a peaceful solution to the problem and thus asks the League to impose diplomatic pressure on Vietnam.

The ULN Council asks that both nations submit a map of all their claimed territory, in order that a complete understanding of the conflict can be acquired.

  • Republic of Susquehanna: We will support Vietnam in this disagreement, but believe that a possible solution could be to split the territory evenly.
