Proposals[]

Chan Santa Cruz (David Rain (Sometimes...) (talk))[]

  1. The ULNOOSA Protectorate of Tenochtitlan is to be maintained as an international spaceport with it's current borders, despite the collapse of the ULN. Chan Santa Cruz will pay for it's upkeep and any expansion will take place into Chan Santa Cruz, unless any other nation agrees to cede land to it at any point.
  2. West to east border claims. Any settlements named in the claim are to be border settlements under Chan Santa Cruz rule. From Puerto Vallarta in a straight line directly east until Guadalajara. From there a straight line North-East until Aguascalientes. From there a straight line North-East to San Luis Potosi. From there the border is to follow the road to Rio Verde. From Rio Verde it is to proceed South-East in a straight line to Tuxpan.

Mexico[]

NotLAHproposalSouth
  • Mexico will annex all land highlighted in dark green on the map.
  • Mexico City will be divided between the Mexican zone, home of the Mexican government, and Tenochtitlan, an international spaceport.
  • Our northern border will meet New Mexico at the former US-Mexican border, with Sonora controlling its former provincial borders.

Discussion[]

Chan Santa Cruz: We are in general happy with the Mexican proposal. However:

  • Tenochtitlan is not ours to partition up, it is international.  Any attempt to annex it or divide it would be to declare war on every single nation in the world. Culiacan itselft makes a good capital and is more central.
  • Our Pacific coast is rather small. With the UR controling Cuba, Florida and South America we are concerned at the possiblility of not being able to head east with goods. There is one province (the farthest south on your map) in 'Mexico' which we would like to claim. That leaves both Mexico and Chan Santa Cruz safe from a UR embago with a good amount of Pacific coast.
  • Texas may dispute the Rio Grande border.

Mexico: We agree to Chan Santa Cruz's counter proposal, and will sign the treaty.
