Tony Blair is a british journalist and broadcaster, and former Labour party politician.



In 1996 he lost his seat, signifiying the extent of the labour defeat since he had been seen as a possible leadership candidate. He has subsequently established himself as a prominent journalist and broadcaster, most notably presenting Great British Churches.

Blair was selected for the safe labour seat of Sedgefield, and was easily elected at the 1982 general election.

After the 1987 election Blair was brought into cabinet.
