1914[]

  • July 22nd - The Treaty Of Munich is signed, allowing Austria-Hungary to attack Serbia, but limiting their expansion.
  • August 17th - The Austrians launch an attack on Serbia, quickly taking Belgrade. With in two weeks, most resistance has been crushed.
  • August 29th - The Austrian Emperor appoints Archduke Ferdinand Karl of Austria to the Serbian throne, and declares that his descendents will hold the right to the Serbian crown indefinably.
  • September 14th - France begins to strengthen relations with Spain, with a mutual defense pact being discussed. Russia objects to this, but agrees to stay in the Triple Entente, for the time being.
  • November 3rd - France, Britain and Spain enter discussions in London, trying to negotiate Spain joining the Triple Entente. Russia does not attend.
  • November 14th - All members of the Triple Alliance begin major build up of their militaries, although Italy does not build up nearly as fast as either Austria-Hungary or Germany.
  • By December 17th - much of the tension in Europe has eased, despite army build up on both sides.

1915[]

  • January 1st - Spain officially joins the Triple Entente, the name still stays the same, however. Russia states its objections to Spain joining, but is largely ignored.
  • Throughout January - The Triple Alliance continues to build up their armies, and Italy starts to increase build up, trying to keep on par with Austria-Hungary and Germany.
  • February 13th - Germany and Russia have a minor border conflict. No one is injured, but tensions rise.
  • March 7th - Another border conflict between Russia and Germany occurs. border conflicts continue throughout the spring and summer.
  • April 1st - The Triple Alliance slows down military build up. However, much of Austria-Hungary's and Germany's forces prepare for a possible attack on Russia.
  • April 8th - Austrian troops line up on the Serbian border with Romania, and appear to be ready to attack.
  • April 17th - Russia demands Austria to stop the build up of troops on the Romanian border. Austria gives no response.
  • April 24th - Russia cuts of all diplomatic relations with Austria-Hungary. Austria-Hungary does not respond, but asks Germany to start mobilizing their army.
  • May 3rd - Russia begins sending forces to Romania, trying to make it harder for Austria to take over Romania quickly.
  • On May 17th - Austria also begins to build up on the border with Russia. Russia, horrified by the move, launch a minor attack on Austria. Minor border fighting lasts for two weeks.
  • June 25th - Austrian forces begin mobilizing along the border with Russia, and ask for German help.
  • July 22nd - Another round of fighting breaks out. It is slightly more intense, but dies down.
  • July 30th - Fighting grinds to a halt, but minor clashes remain common.
  • August 4th - Austria Begins the process of fully mobilizing its army, which numbers far more than they have deployed.
  • August 9th - Russia has started the same process as Austria.
  • August 14th - Germany starts full mobilization.
  • September 24th - both Russia and Austria have almost fully mobilized their armies. Germany begins mobilizing their forces also done as well, but most other nations do not, hoping not to get involved.
  • November 17th - Fighting breaks out between the Russians and the German-Austrian alliance. For the next week, fighting remains limited, but increases. However, this fighting is much more intense.
  • November 24th - Russia declares war on both Austria-Hungary and Germany, and opens up an attack on Krakow. The Great Radtern war had officially begun. The rest of the Triple Entente does not join the fighting.
  • December 5th - The initial Russian attack is beaten back, and Germany begins their own offensive, trying to take Warsaw. Meanwhile, Austria-Hungary attempts a massive push to Kiev, but the attack is stalled.
  • December 6th - both France and Britain declare neutrality in the current conflict, calling it a conflict exclusively between the German-Austrian alliance.
  • December 20th - Warsaw has been captured by German forces, and the rest of Poland. German forces begin to move up toward St Petersburg. meanwhile, Austria has captured the Russian Province of Podolia. France and Brittan both remain neutral, but sell supply's to both sides.

1916[]

  • January 4th - Germany continues assault on the Baltic states of Russia, while Austria-Hungary continues to assault the Ukraine, closing in on Kiev. Meanwhile, Communist soviets begin to appear across Russia, particularly near St Petersburg.
  • January 9th - Communism continues to grow across Russia, with St Peterburg falling into unrest, with some fighting taking place across the city.
  • January 27th - The German advance slows down, but only after Lithuania and part of Latvia are captured.
  • February 18th - Austrian troops reach Kiev, an the battle of Kiev starts. The battle is brutal, with both sides having around 500,000 men present.
  • March 8th - Thousands of Russians revolt in St Petersburg, and start a soviet. The Russian government cannot afford to send troops to stop them, so the city remains basically independent.
  • March 10th - All of Latvia and most of Estonia are captured by the Germans, leading to panic across the nation. Revolts, both Federalist and Communist, begin across the nation.
  • March 17th - The Russian government begins to consider a treaty with the Germans, but the tsar argues against it, decreasing his popularity even further.
  • April 3rd - With all of the Baltic states captured, the German army, much to the horror of the Russians, begins to attack Belarus and makes major gains.
  • April 7th - The date the three-way Russian civil war is considered have started, with Communist, monarchist and Federalist forces fighting each other.
  • May 10th - The Russian government agrees to make peace with Germany, where Germany takes the Baltic states and Poland.
  • May 16th - Austria-Hungary also makes peace with Russia, taking about half of the Ukraine, leaving Russia to fall into civil war.
  • June 20th - The Russian civil war continues, with the Communists and the Federalist beating down the monarchists. However, neither side is able to keep their territory stable, and many smaller Russian states are formed. In addition, the monarchists continue to survive, with a few cities under their control.
  • July 24th - The monarchist faction of Russia is defeated at the Battle of Moscow, but continues to survive. Independent Russian rebels also begin to pop up across the war-torn nation.
  • July 29th - Japan invades Kamchatka while Russia remains in a civil war, making rapid gains across the peninsula.
