This is the official timeline of The Face of Sol. The timeline is officially reaching as far as 2015, but due to the Points of Divergence, the timeline will be very different from what it is in OTL.  However, you will be very happy to see this timeline, if you wish.

Abridged Timeline 

Prehistoric Times

4.5 Bya: The Solar Nebula collapses, forming the Terran Solar System. The 7 planets of the Terran Solar System: Illium (Venus), Earth, Killp (Mars) Hulannos (Jupiter) Muul (Saturn) Yusi (Uranus) and Juilo (Neptune), the additional dwarf planets Irao (Ceres), Respo (Pluto), and the Asteroid Belt form. Luna forms as a result of the collision with Theia, and Earth and Killp both receive massive amounts of planetary bombardment from ice comets and asteroids. 

4.0 Bya: The first life molecules begin to form on Earth, after a prolonged period of heavy bombardment, as well as Earth's first microbes. 

3.8 Bya: Killp's period of bombardment ends, and its first life molecules begin to form as well, and its first microbial lifeforms. 

3.5 Bya: Earth's first oxygen-producing bacteria are born around this period. 

3.2 Bya: Killp's first oxygen-producing bacteria are born around this time period as well. 

2.05 Bya: Earth's atmosphere, along with Killp's become oxygenized. 

1.8 Bya: The first complex single-celled lifeforms emerge on Earth, that being protists with nuclei. 

1.76 Bya: Killp develops its own complex single-celled lifeforms, as its atmosphere becomes increasingly oxygenized. 

1.0 Bya: Earth's first multi-celled life emerges, particularly with Eukaryotic life. 

994 Mya: Killp develops its own Eukaryotic life, which turn out to be laying foundations for the future of life on Killp. 

850 Mya: Earth is possibly in its so-called "Snowball Earth" period. Much of the planet lies frozen. 

635 Mya: Earth and Killp begin to develop their first animal life, as lifeforms emerge on the oceans of Earth and Killp.  

541 - 486.9 Mya: The Cambrian Explosion occurs on Earth, as does the Noachis Explosion on Killp as life begins to diversify on both planets.  

486.8 - 249.2 Mya: Earth's Paleozoic period occurs during this time, and Killp's Honozoic Period also occurs. While Earth's Paleozoic period does end about 252.2 Mya, the date for both planets' periods' end date is considered to be 242.2 Mya, seeing as Killp's lifeforms lasted longer on the planet. During this time, insects, plants, fungus and fish begin to emerge.

252.2 Mya - 58 Mya: Earth's Mezosoic era occurs, as Reptiles begin to dominante Earth's landscape. Around the end of the period, Earth's Mezosoic era is brough to a quick end by an asteroid collision, followed by a series of climatic changes. Killp's Kilozoic Era also occurs during this time, during which its evolutionary path begins to diverge from Earth's evolutionary path. However, unlike Earth, it is not hit by an asteroid, but rather affected by a supervolcano eruption 7 million years after 78% of Earth's lifeforms became extinct in the Cretaceous-Paleogene ELE (Extinction Level Event). 

58 Mya - 2.8 Mya: Earth's pre-Homo genus Cenozoic Era occurs, while Killp's Triozoic Era occurs during this time, extending to the time of the first human colonies on Killp. At the end of the period, the Homo genus emerges, after Von Neumann probes begin to help accelerate the process of Human Evolution, converting them into Homo Habilis. However, 5,000 years after their arrival, the Von Neumanns begin to become inactive, and thus move on elsewhere. 

1.8 Mya: Homo Erectus emerges in the Risorian continent with the interference of another wave of Von Neumanns.

350,000 BCE: The Neanderthals begin to emerge independently in the Laugorian continent, with the lack of Von Neumanns to assist in their evolution. 

200,000 BCE: Modern humans begin to emerge in Risoria, again with no help from the Von Neumanns. 

100,000 BCE: The Homo Sapiens lineage covers the entire continent of Risoria. 

70,000 BCE: Homo Sapiens begins to migrate outside of Risoria, and into Laugoria, Yuogpor, and the Hullio Islands. The Homo Sapiens in Laugoria begin interacting with the Neanderthals, and inter-breeding with the Neanderthals. 

40,000 BCE: The last independent lineage of the Neanderthals dies out, as Homo Sapiens becomes the last major member of the Homo genus. 

15,000 BCE: The Ice Age on Earth ends.

12:000 BCE: Humanity finally invents agriculture, as they begin to enter the early stage of civilized society.

Recorded History 

6000 - 5000 BCE: Humanity begins to invent writing, as recorded human history begins. The first civilizations emerge in Eastern Risoria and Western Laugoria. Organized religion begins to arise around this time as well. 

4000 BCE - 3,467 BCE: The first civilization of Yuogpor emerges. The peoples on the Hullio Islands migrate to the nearby continent of Rulanka. 

3,910 - 1,891 BCE: Other civilizations begin to emerge in the East of Laurogia, and old civilizations in Laugoria and Risoria begin to break apart, and be replaced by more powerful civilizations. The rise of the Kiolos, and Milias Empires occurs around this period. 

1,891 BCE - 1,601 BCE: The Retol Dynasty emerges in Trusoa, the first of the East Laugorian civilizations. Around this time, the Rulankan Fuir and Goll Civilizations emerge. 

1,041 - 761 BCE: The Central Laurogian civilizations emerge around this period, particularly the well known Porik, Kiaros and Virrana Empires.

619 - 389 BCE: The Buo Peninsula city-states period on Northern Laugoria.  This gives birth to the larger Buoan Civilization. On the Northern Risoria, the Loraintian Kingdom emerges. 

310 - 140 BCE: The rise of the Ratievan Empire on the Buo Peninsula, which then goes on to conquer the Kiolos Empire, in the process bringing much of Eastern Laugoria under the control of the Ratievan Empire. However, the Ratievans fail to conquer the Milias Empire, which is able to hold back their expansion, at a terrible prize. Around this time the Fuir civilization collapses due to a series of conflicts with neighboring tribes, and massive interal unrest. 

140 BCE - 90 CE: The Loraintian Kingdom and the Buoan Civilization face off in the Halian Wars, which ultimately ends in the defeat of the Loraintian Kingdom, and control of much of Northern and Eastern Risoria, as well as parts of Central Laugoria. 

90 - 218 CE: The Ratievan Empire reaches the height of its power, and it makes contact with the Trusoan Empire, now controlled by the Pirgon Dynasty. 

219 - 369 CE: The Ratievan Empire collapses due to overextension, economic troubles and a series of wars with the Milias Empire and the Trusoan Empire. The a period of technological stagnation begins in much of Riseria and Western Laugoria. 

789 CE - 978 CE: In the Halian Region of Western Laugaria, the Fillosian peoples begin migrating towards the more powerful kindgoms of Eastern Riseria and Western Laugoria. They begin to expand and conquer other territories, in order to compensate for their depleting space on Halian. 

1070 CE: The Fillosian peoples stumble into the Rulankan continent's Southern region, and begin to establish a permanent settlement there. The result is partially successful, as most are forced to interbreed with the local peoples, and with the Fillosian peoples' knowledge, they are able to start the Croslo Civilization. 

1141 - 1178 CE: The Great Plague hits Western Laugaria and Eastern Riseria, as well as Central Laugaria and much of Central Laugaria. 85 million people die in this time period. 

1245 CE: The printing press is invented in the Kingdom of Buo, which now controls the Buo Peninsula. This sparks a Renaissance of innovation and progress, as knowledge becomes more available to the public.

1298 CE: An expedition led by the Holy Empire of Loraintia and Ragul manages to make contact with the Croslo Civilization, whom at this point control a large portion of Rulanka's Firropan Archipielago and the Southern tip of the continent. This results in an an attempt by Old World nations to colonize the Rulankan continent over the course of 400 years. 

1301 - 1467 CE: The Holy Empire of Loraintia and Ragul, along with the Oprel Kingdom are able to colonize much of Southern and Central Rulanka. 

1478 - 1488 CE: The Kindgom of Buo and the Trusoan Empire, which is now under the control of the Busro Dynasty, begin to lay their own claims on Rulanka, and thus begin expeditions there over the course of a decade. 

1491 - 1680 CE: A series of wars explode for control of Rulanka, while further exploration reveals the discovery of Yuogpor, which at this point, has become nothing less than primitive cultures scattered across the continent. The Old World nations are also very quick to colonize the region. Classical physics begins to appear around this time period. 

1700 CE: The Industrial Revolution begins around this particular time period, giving birth to new technologies, and causing humanity to evolve from a agragarian society to a technological civilization.

1721 - 1730 CE: The 17 Buoan Colonies in Northern Rulanka declare sovereignty, following a series of disputes and increasing pro-independence unrest, giving birth to the Rulankan Federation. The result is the brutal Rulankan Revolution, which lasts 9 years before the Buoan Kingdom is forced to regonize them as an independent state. 

1731 CE: The Ragulian Revolution occurs, as the Holy Empire begins to break down, and it is replaced by the 1st Republic of Ragul and the Loraintian Kingdom. 

1742 - 1755 CE: The Ragulian Wars begin, as the First Republic of Ragul disintegrates and becomes the Ragulian Empire, and begins conquering neighboring powers. However, the nations of Riseria band together to stop the Ragulian Empire, and in one last battle the Ragulians are crushed.

1798 CE: The human species begins to transition from coal usage to petroleum usage. 

1808 - 1815 CE: The First Great War occurs, thanks to new alliances and new nations emerging. This is the first conflict to be fought on much of the planet. Relativistic and Quantum Physics begin to arise around this critical time period. 

1824 - 1831 CE: Economic crisis, rising nationalism, new technologies and the failure of diplomatic action leads up to the 2nd Great War. 

1831 - 1839 CE: The 2nd Great War occurs, being the first true Great War, involving all of Earth's major powers and heavy fighting in many areas of the globe. The end of the war is signified with the first nuclear detonations as humanity harnesses nuclear technology.

1849 CE: The Union of Central Laugarian Collectivist Republics is the first nation to launch a man-made object into space. 4 months later, the Rulankan Federation follows.

1851 - 1885 CE: The Space Race occurs, in an attempt to land the first human being on the Moon, and eventually Killp. The Race ends on August 19, 1885 of OTL, with the Rulankan Federation landing the first human being on Killp. During this period, the first orbital stations are established, although these are semi-permanent research outposts. During this time, the Information Age begins, with the first computers being invented.

1897 CE: The Central Laugarian Union, also known as the Union of Central Laugarian Collectivist Republics, collapses and thus leaves the Rulankan Federation as the sole global superpower, although history will later prove the Rulankan Federation's global hegemony to be a short one. 

1908 CE: The Rulankan Federation suffers a series of major terrorist attacks on key major cities, prompting it to mobilize military forces into the Eastern Riserian continent to combat terrorism.

1929 CE: The first lunar outposts are established by the Collectivist Republic of Trusoa. 

1941 CE: A resurgent Central Laugarian Union establishes the first colony on Killp, and this starts an Interplanetary Race to lay claim to the rest of the Sol System. 

1942 - 1967 CE: Humanity begins to colonize the rest of Sol, with many nations and private corporations begin to claim much of Sol. 

1968 - 1999 CE: Humanity begins to experience a technological golden age, as new information technologies, combined with the capability to colonize new worlds, begins to affect the daily lives of billions of people across the Sol System. During this time period, archeologists accidentally discover the long-inactive Von Neumann probe factory on Luna, and this further accelerates progress, giving humanity more knowledge than ever before. 

2001 CE: The first interstellar probes begin construction during this time. The colonists on other worlds begin to create their own cultures, and a small minority is even asking for some of the colonies to gain sovereignty from Terran nations. 

2010 - 2015 CE: The first interstellar probes are sent into space, finishing construction. These probes are expected to explore every system within 20 light years from Earth in order to send back valuable information about additional habitable worlds.
