- c. 410: The Roman Emperor Constantine III orders all troops out of Britain, offically ending more than 3 centuries of uncontested roman rule of the islands.
- 411 jan.3: After the final roman officals are ousted from British Soil, native Romano-celts vie for power in the ex province,splitting it into a series of small kingdoms. King Eshret takes power in Elmet, in the central north, the most powerful of these kingdoms. In the far north, the Pictish kingdom of Strathclyde expands into ex-roman lands around Hadrian's Wall, as they are pur under pressure in the north by the expanding kindgom-colony of Dal Riada.
