Early Modern History (1492-1800)
- April 1775 - The American Revolution begins with the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
- November 1776 - Four months following the signing of the Declaration of Independence, roughly 600 American militia under Jonathan Eddy successfully lay siege to and capture Fort Cumberland in British Nova Scotia. The victory sparks an open rebellion of already restless colonists and French Acadians across the region, resulting in eventual support from the Thirteen Colonies, with the arrival of large amounts of supplies and nearly 200 'regulars' from George Washington's Continental Army.
