They had "suicide pills" to take - there was no attempt at escape.
That is interesting, but not quite the answer I need.
Is the point about suicide pills an alternate historic one?
The Suicide pills were faulty though, or at least that is what they taught me at school
No, the point about the pills was not an AH one. The assassins were given the pills by the leaders of their group, so that their identities could not be discovered.
Problem is, the things had expired, so they only made the guys really sick.
What I'm saying is that it's impossible to have a map of their route, because one did not exist. They did not plan to escape - the plan was to try to assassinate the Prince, and then kill themselves.
From what I have learnt, which may be wrong, the whole thing was botched, and they only got him (according to my History Teacher and a video), because Gavrilo Princips went to get a sandwich and the archduke happened to drive past
More or less right. Complete fluke, really - they had only planned on the bomb attack that had failed earlier that day. The one that worked was pure luck on Princep's part. The Archduke was not supposed to go by there - had they gone on the correct route, it would not have happened.
Yes, it could be, though I have yet to see an attempt that actually did anything.
