The Third Army was a field army of the Russian National Army during the Russian Civil War, and later in World War II. It was under command of General Nikolai Yudenich, having some 800,000 men. During the Civil War, it fought on the Northwestern Front, and was famous for taking Petrograd from the Red Army.
