The Third Aquitainian War took place during the years 1477-83. It broke out because France had cancelled the Second Aquitainian War to fight the Great Napolitan War instead, leaving a good piece of Aquitaine in England's hands. It ended with Aquitaine finally becoming French.

Scotland-Norway also had entered the war on France's side, but to their disadvantage: In 1487, the English took the Scottish capital of Perth; king Daibidh V and his three sons had to flee to Norway. The Shetland and Orkney islands became English, too.
