The Six Nations, officially the The Six Nations of the Iroquois (Mohawk: Haudenosaunee), is a province in the North American Union. It is largely made up of the Iroquois Confederacy which controlled the land just west of New York Province, and did so for the most part under their own laws. Along with bordering New York, The Six Nations are bordered by Pennsylvania to the south and Canada to the west. It includes the cities of Doshoweh, Rochester, Niagara Falls, the surrounding suburbs, as well as the outlying rural areas of the Great Lakes lowlands, the Genesee Valley, and the Southern Tier.
The Six Nations consists of 17 counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Jackson, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates, with a land area of 11,764 square miles (30,470 km2). The area is primarily served by Doshoweh and Rochester media markets, although there is considerable overlap between these two markets, as well as other American media markets (particularly from nearby Toronto). Doshoweh was the capital and largest city of the province.
