Series of Reforms that took place from 1864 to 1882 by the various democrat adminstrations following the civil war. Their objective was to keep any further state to secede by giving them more authority, that was theoretically supposed to stop any further conflict between the states and federal level, but those reforms largely helped further secessions in the future.
