The Other Part is a 2013 independent film written and directed by Lars von Trier. It is based on the novel La Part de l'autre by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt. It focuses on life and death of the historical figure, Adolf Hitler, in two separate realities: A man (Adolf H.) accepted into the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and became a genius artist in Paris, while the other (Hitler) was not, then became a tramp in Vienna, later a politician, dictator of Gemany. The film was released on September 6, 2013, generally praised by critics.
