The vital Vladivostok Fortress, controlling it may very well decide the fate of the war

Much like how the Japanese fought against the Russians back in 1904, history repeats itself after 36 full years. The Japanese hope that fate will guide them to victory just like the last time. However, wars are not won with prayers. They are won with bullets and blood. Japanese and Manchurian forces quickly attack Pro-Soviet Mongolia and conquer Ulaanbaatar within a week. Although Mongolian resistance fighters and stranded Soviet forces continue the fight, it is clear that Japan is a couple pegs ahead of the Red menace. Encouraged by their victories in the West, Japanese High Command focuses on the North. The Soviets still distracted in Europe, the Japanese sweep through Khalkin Gol, Sakhalin and much of Transamur with very little resistance and completely surround Vladivostok. Securing this vital port would guarantee Japanese domination over the Soviets. Not wanting this to happen, Iosif Stalin, Premier of the Soviets, instructs Soviet forces to "defend the city at all costs". The Vladivostok Fortress is fortified even more and the Red Army forces stuck in the city are now preparing for a long siege. The victor of this siege will be the ruler of the East: never before have the stakes been higher. Who shall prevail in this fight?

  • The Japanese
  • The Soviets
  • The siege drags on
