The Global War (Map Game)

The year is 1912. Italy, Germany and Austro-Hungary have formed a Triple Alliance, and Britain, France and Russia have formed a Triple Entente. Meanwhile, an arms race is occurring, especially a naval one between Germany and Britain. The United States is embracing Progressivism. Imperialism has created some rivals, including Austria-Hungary and its conquered subjects and most recently Italy and the "Sick Child of Europe", the Ottoman Empire. The stage is set for a global war.

Game Rules

One Country each. You can switch countries if you miss one turn in between.
Be plausible.
Respect the judgment of the Mods.
Every turn is half a year. One turn per day.
Game archived every 20 turns.
First come, first serve.
If anyone has been inactive for ten turns without alerting the mods, they are removed. They may rejoin when they are active again, but only to an open spot.
Each turn, you can improve two of: Military, Economy, Technology, and Infrastructure.
Any country that has not been filled will be operated by the mods.

The World Cup begins in France.

Fascist movements begin to gain power in most of Latin America, especially in Venezuela and Nicaragua.

Due to foreign intervention in the conflict, Hyderabad's invasion of Dravidia is stopped.

In Russia, the Fascists seem to control all land in Russia East of the Volga River (though there are revolts in Ukraine and Estonia).

Union of Iberia: With Portugal now in our hands, we begin major reforms and improvements to the infrastructure and military of the former Portugal by turning into part of the Iberian Army and also putting the Portuguese National Guard as the Portuguese State National Guard. We also make those same changes to our other four new states. We plan on splitting the states further into prefectures and semi-autonomous provinces and having making a system like OTL Japan. The first monoplane prototype is developed and tested with great success.

Dominion of Myanmar- further construction of cities and development continues. With most of our tank corps stationed here, we further train the tank corps on the beaches of Rakhaing.
Union of Caribbean Commonwealths- with most of navy already stationed here, we patrol around American waters more often.
France: Asks that Spain declare war on the USA.

Thailand: Thailand continues building up its military and improves infrastructure. Prime Minister Manopakorn Nititada accepts Malta's offer of trade agreement from a few months ago.

Governor-General of the Dominion of Myanmar: Requests trading rights with our southern neighbor and hopes to exchange cultures in an annual culture festival every July.

Canada: We keep improving infrastructure and encourage businesses, we also start to employ people in the military. We employ 50,000 troops of our population of nine million. We also seek trade with the USA.

Brazil: The Republic of the United States of Brazil continues to improve its economy and infrastructure. Population continues to grow by adding 200,000 people every year. The population of Brazil now stands at 27.6 million people, while the number of military troops stands at 660,000 soldiers, 6600 tanks and 1600 fighters and 260 bombers. Continue building a series of early fighters, bombers and tanks on military factories. Fewer schools, museums, colleges and more houses, theaters, hospitals and mining plants are built. Theaters showing films and radio stations pop up the nation becomes more popular. The mining plants produces materials coal, iron, gold, copper and bronze, which later used as products from industries. Industry continues improving and few factories are built along in cities, creating jobs for people of Brazil. The telephone/communications and banana industries continue to grow under a few large monopolies. With most of the country hooked up to electricity, most middle class citizens and rich citizens have light in their homes. The telegraph is popular with the rich and business people. The telephone is popular with the rich people of society. All classes have a radio in their homes. Cars are popular with middle and the rich class. A few docks and churches are built. The Brazilian Navy continues building a series of armored destroyers, cruisers and cargo ships which destroyers later added to Brazilian Navy and cargo ships are for trade and for future tensions. Trade with various major European powers decides economic boom of Brazil and Brazil's largest exports are exotic fruits and largest imports are cars and steel. Artillery becomes more widely used in combat and some industries continues building a series of wartime artillery, which later added it to Brazilian Armed Forces. In the Brazilian presidential election 1922, Mineiro Republican Party wins elections and Delfim Moreira continues office to become president of Brazil. Meanwhile, few new trains are produced and one new railway line are opened in service. President Delfim Moreira continues to plan new reforms for Brazil and continues investing heavily in technology and science.

USA: With most of the country hooked up to electricity, most middle class citizens and rich citizens have light in their homes. The telegraph is popular with the rich and business people. The telephone is popular with the rich people of society. All classes have a radio in their homes. Cars are popular with middle and the rich class. Factories make new military weapons to keep up with technology of Europe. We allow immigrants into the nations that left Europe, because of the war. Our cities expand to fit the growing size of our population. Farming is very popular with the people of the mid west, while on the west and east coast it is very industrial. In the south it is both industrial and agricultural mixed together. Planes have continued to become popular with the population for traveling for vacation. We leave Cuba, and allow Mexico do go into Cuba to do what they want with it. We are happy to send a soccer team to France for the world cup.

Italia: We order the USA embassy to be closed. secretly we order all US diplomats to be detained. We start patrolling in US airspace, and embargo the Chileans and Argentineans. We also order for all Italian ships to detain US ships in European waters on sight. Mil and Tech. We ask if Belgium would like to join the Global Corporation.

Empire of Japan: The Empire of Japan improves its economy and military, taking on a more capitalistic economy fueled by a mercantilist policy. With all of Honshu lit up by electricity, Hokkaido and Kyushu begin to see more power plants built there to further increase the economic capabilities of Japan. Farms are built to sustain the population and exports continue to rise. The IJNS Hosho is complete, with seven torpedo bombers and seven monoplanes aboard it. Dreadnoughts, armored cruisers, and destroyers are built while the Army expands to 750,000 men, and the air force to 70 airships and 700 aircraft. (Mil/eco)

Korea: With Korea effectively on the same level as Japan in terms of industrial development, Korea starts improving the literacy of the country, with the University of Seoul, and dozens of colleges, and elementary schools opening across the country. Top Japanese professors and teaching personnel are sent to Korea to share their knowledge. With the construction of schools and more facilities on the way, this prompts a population boom, with most of the new people arriving from the mainland. This spurs the construction of additional farms and pastures to support the growing populace. (Tech/eco)
Union of Japanese Oceania: Propaganda posters, encouraging the natives to embrace their new colonizers are printed, while Oceania is given a representative to the government. In addition, the Japanese now make up 8% of the local population, and are now the majority in the Pacific Islands, but still relatively unnoticeable in New Guinea and New Zealand. A series of trans-island trading routes are made to increase economic activity and the transportation of supplies. The ports are enlarged.(eco/infra)
Indochina: We give French nationals a chance to return home, free of charge. Explorers witness the natural resources buried in the region, and immediately call for their harvesting and extraction. The Trans-Southeast-Asian railway begins to be constructed (eco/infra)
France: Asks that Japan declare war on the USA.

France: France rejoices at Dravidia's victory, continues sanctions on Hyderabad, but we take our ships away from Ceylon, and move them to our naval bases in Indochina, in case of war with the US (for access to the Philippines). We continue to send troops to our Caribbean islands. We also station ships and submarines in Bermuda, and tell the United States that any American ships we see will be torpedoed. We tell the United States that if they do not withdraw from the Azores this turn, we will invade the Azores and Liberia. Also, we ask them to withdraw their control of the Panama Canal. Due to the United States not responding to our last request, we shut down our embassy in America, and burn down the American embassy in France. We host the World Cup, and hope that France wins. Mexico: Though the war in Cuba is over and Mexico is experiencing a time of peace, Mexican citizens are nervous about American aggression in the North. American troops have ventured into Mexican territory in the recent past and in order to protect our citizens we send 150,000 men, many of whom fought in Cuba, to protect the Northern border. We also begin a full mobilization hoping to have a 750,000 strong army in half a years time. In addition, we begin constructing military airfields in the North for the planes which we bought from Japan. The Mexican government has also begun devoting resources to building munitions factories and other military installations in the North of the country to protect ourselves in case of war. We also man the military base at the Bay of Pigs in Cuba with naval and army supplies and troops. We also announce that our newest models of tanks and machine guns are ready for any potential conflict. (Military/technology)

Australia: The Australian Industrial Revolution continues. In the 1922 election Nationalist party wins with getting 70 seats over 75, Billy Hughes continues his reign as president. Labour gets four while country gets one. We set fire to the U.S. ambassador and state that we don't recognise them as a country anymore and Australian ships are said if you see an American ship, torpedo it. We continue send 5000 more troops to defeat the Fascists in Russia, and begin to sanctioning ALL Fascist countries. We send economic support to Brazil to help them with potential Fascist rebels. 80% of the Darwin to Melbourne train line is complete while 56% of the Augusta to Darwin line is complete. 62.5% of the Sydney port is complete. Schools, universities, homes and hospitals continue being built at a rapidly while factories at a slower rate. The economy of Australia is booming with factories selling hundreds of goods. About 40% of all allied goods come from Australia. The population of Australia booms with a high birth rate and immigration from Oceana, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America keep coming. We would also like to accept a trade agreement with Mexico and urge them to declare war on unreasonable United States of America. Life in Australia is good and above average for the working class, with most people now got telephones and light in their homes. We continue to remind Indian States, France, Spain, Denmark, Holland, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Canada and Japan to sign the International World Cricket League.

Sweden: We continue our industrialization, and begin testing prototypes of new forms of airplanes. We would be willing to join a coalition and intervene in Russia to support the democratic faction.

Germany: Prepares to intervene in Russia, mobilizing reserves and shifting troops to forward bases near the Russian border. Arms are sent to Ukrainian and Estonian rebels, as well as to the remaining democrats and Communists in Russia. Germany calls on the Visegrad Pact, namely Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bosnia, to join the intervention, fulfill their treaty obligations, and preserve the stability of Eastern Europe. We ask the Fascist Russians for an alliance and help in all future wars against Global Corporation members, in return we will aid the Fascists in their Civil War. We begin mobilisation and ask Argentina if they would aid us in a second war with Brazil, this time hopefully with aid from other South American countries. The Netherlands declares war on the US. However, Mexico and Germany push up from the South, while France makes minor gains after amphibious landings in New England.

In Russia, as the Democrats and Fascists stop fighting, the Democrats declare the Russian Republic, which is the land East of the Volga, while the Fascists declare the Peoples' Russian Empire, and Estonia declares independence.

Hyderabad asks Chile, England, Argentina, and the Peoples' Russian Empire to all agree to an alliance and a pact to spread Fascism.

Italy: We order amphibious landings all along the Eastern coast, and initiate a blockade of the eastern coast. We call on the Global Corporation to join us in fighting the false states of America. Kingdom of Arabia: Military and economy continue to improve. Sultan Zamal Ali Al-Sabhan entertains the Emirs and Sultans of the Middle East at the palace in Damascus, where the capital has been moved. We encourage the caravan trade across Arabia, but look to new economies of exporting oil and other resources. Books on engineering and infrastructure are imported from Spain and France. The military is greatly expanded and modernized, primarily by buying surplus equipment from Spain and France. The Omani navy in Muscat is also modernized using employed British engineers. As Damascus and Riyadh are more comparable to European cities now, industrial centers begin to appear and expand. Minor airplanes and railroads are built in these same areas. Industrial centers begin to be built in these same cities. Caliph Hussein ibn Ali administers the global religion of Islam from the Holy City of Mecca, along with the Ulema acting as his advisers. Following France's declaration, Arabia also declares war on the US, and sends economic support to this end. Arabia also begins influencing the nations of Ankara, Mesopotamia and Kurdistan.

The Republic of Malta: We offer all countries fighting Fascists the support of Malta's superior hospitals. We offer letters of marque to any and all pirates willing to attack Fascist ships, and offer them refuge, amnesty, and jobs in Malta as long as they sink two ships. We begin building offshore harbors to try to boost our navies development, and begin building cruisers. We also offer work to any war refugees from either side of the war currently going on, as long as they have not committed war crimes or attacked Malta. We continue building up Malta's coastal defenses and general infrastructure. (Mil/Infra)

Thailand: Thailand continues building up its military and improves infrastructure. Prime Minister Manopakorn Nititada declares war against the USA on the request of France, and launches an invasion of the US-held Philippines.

Republic of China: We improve our industry and military. More factories are built in Manchuria, Hubei, Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta. More farm collectives are built in agricultural states. We establish mandatory middle schools all over the country, for children from 12 to 15 years of age. Elementary school and middle school are now mandatory for both boys and girls. After the assembly, Mao begins organizing farmer's collectives in Hunan. Chiang continues his work in Zhejiang. We increase our influence, investments and control over the Indian states. We start building airfields and ports. We place most of our newly built tanks along the Sino-Russian border. We send supplies and weapons to Central Asian separatist groups. We start building aircraft carriers. We invite scientists and inventors to work in China. We offer an extremely high investment rate to all scientists.

Chinese Diplomacy: We ask to nullify the membership of Russian states in Global Corporation.

Chinese Diplomacy: We declare war on the United States of America, and invades Philippines, Guam and Hawaii.

Chinese war on the U.S.A.: Civilian guards immediately seize all leased territory of the U.S. and nullify all debt. American civilians are round up and given the choice to become a Chinese citizen or return to the U.S. Immediately, we send our fleets. The Eastern Sea Fleet attacks Guam and the Southern Sea Fleet attacks the Philippines.

Chinese Diplomacy: We ask Hyderabad to halt their Fascist activity and return to democratic governance.

Denmark: We also declare war on the USA as we give some economy guidance to Mexico. In Denmark, we finish building the first power plant in Copenhagen as it connects to about 600 houses into the Copenhagen region. (Economy/Infrastructure)

Union of Iberia: We officially declare war on the United States of America and attack the Azores Islands. National Guards attack the American Embassies and kill the ambassadors and all diplomats inside. We launch and all out assault on Florida through the Bahamas.

Union of Caribbean States declares war on the United States and attacks Florida
Governor-General of the Myanmar Protectorate declares war and mobilizes an aircraft carrier and three cruisers to assist the Thai and the Japanese attack on the American Pacific, we specifically target the Hawaiian Islands.

Empire of Japan: We declare war on the United States of America, and issue a naval blockade of the American Philippines, particularly Luzon and Mindanao, while the Armed forces conducts an invasion of the Philippines. The U.S Embassy is closed and all of its workers are detained (more later)

Glorious Chilean Empire: We accept the offer to form a Fascist pact, allying us with Hyderabad and any other nations that join it. We declare war on Italy, following their refusal to lift their embargo on us. We urge England, Argentina, Hyderabad and the Russian Peoples Empire to aid us in this war, the former two being allied with us, Hyderabad being in the Fascist pact and remaining the latter of our aid in their Civil War. We place an embargo on all nations that are at war with the USA and all nations that have shown aggression towards us, particularly Brazil. We also continue to back Fascists in Nicaragua and Venezuela, asking Argentina to help us spread Fascism in these South American countries so we are stronger in the next war with Brazil. Some of these states used to be Mexican territory, and a portion of the population welcomes the Mexican troops as conquering heroes restoring justice and reuniting them with their homeland. Dreadnoughts, armored cruisers, and destroyers are built while the army expands, with more tanks being produced, and the air force to 70 airships and 700 aircraft. Lots of people flood to Dutch territory to escape the atrocities of the rebels. In Germany, scientists Albert Einstein, Leo Szilard, and more begin to set the stage for possible nuclear research. Germany may begin a nuclear program in 1935. France, Iberia, and Italy may begin their in 1937. Brazil, Japan, and possibly Russia (depending on Civil War) may begin theirs in 1940. Australia and China in 1942.

Is the Treaty of Lorient agreeing to the Conference of Cancun or is it entirely different and if so please give me a link to the Treaty.

Italy does not need to sign the treaty, as it is no longer part of the allies since it invaded an ally. The Treaty is very similar to the Conference of Cancun just it accounts for Italy's war and divides up the land Italy wold get, and minor adjustments to the borders. It is here.

With German involvement against Turkey, and Arabia, Australia, and Mesopotamia all working against Turkey, Turkey falls. Some land will go to Mesopotamia, some to Germany, some to Kurdistan, and some to Arabia.

In a Major turn of events, Germany refuses to turn over South Tyrol.

Ausralia and Italy are getting too involved around the world. If it continues to grow, I will call implausibility.

Movie theaters are now being shown first time after the civil war. Cars are now being imported from Europe reaching middle class. Radios are now becoming cheaper and popular. Casino crime begins to occur in Moscow and other big Russian cities. Police begin huge operation to track down thefts.

Glorious Chilean Empire The Democrat-Fascist alliance is on the verge of defeating the Communists, advancing deep into Communist territory. As a result of this many parts of South Chile revert to Fascism, bringing Communism to the verge of destruction in Chile. We begin to push the Brazilians back, determined to finally defeat them. Meanwhile, we officially surrender to Italy, Bolivia and Australia, signing the Treaty of Santiago and allowing us to focus on Brazil. Netherlands: The Netherlands finally pushes the rebellion to a few small groups in remote jungles. The Dutch East Indies are finally liberated from Communist rebels. The Dutch Military reaches two million soldiers. The stadium in the Hauge is finished and some industrial projects are taken on throughout the Netherlands. The Dutch military decides to modernize its snipers by equiping them with modern scoped Dutch rifles and training them in the arts of concealment, infiltration, sniping, survival, etc. (Infra/Mil)

Australia: The Australian industrial revolution continues. We offer peace to Italy; Treaty of Cooktown (I'll make a page for it) basically it's saying that Australia will stay to there part of the Indian Ocean and they stay on there side. If there's any ships in the sections then the opposition may sink the ship. Italy keeps all of its gains in Wales but has to pull out of Brazil. With the threat of Turkey now failing we decide to give are soldiers a rest. Troops still fight against ECPACTO in South America. We continue with the Battle of Australia and fighting in Wales. With the Olympic Games happening in Darwin tourism booms in Australia and boosts the economy. New skyscrapers is planed up in places like Sydney, Perth and Darwin. The president is on the verge of resigning. The economy of Australia slows down because of the war. Ford industries still survives in Australia but is planning to move to France very soon. ABC nearly goes bankrupt again and has to cancel ABC comedy. They plan to put the channel back on in a years time. All infrastructure projects are put on hold. The Australian Scientific Federation is founded, its main priority is to make high speed railway faster and to make a tank (could Australia have a tank now, give me a reponce) . High speed is now expanded to 30 mph. (Mil/Eco)

Sweden: With Europe at peace and the economy booming, life in Sweden is pretty good. Radios and the movies are becoming popular, as well as cars imported. The Stockholm-Helsinki Railroad is completed, and Finland is officially re-added to the nation. Some activists begin rallies, to help the lower class, and expand welfare benefits to the lower class and not just returning war veterans that can't find a job.

The game has gotten out of hand. Vatonica can't contribute as much, and it's falling apart, and becoming implausible. It was very fun, and I will likely make a second version in like three to six months. Please join that (I will be more focused on cracking down on implausibility). It will start a bit earlier than this one did. The second game will likely start in 1910.
