The Franco-German War, occasionally called the Continuation War and sometimes just show as part of the First World War, was a war between France and the Second Reich. The war stemmed from World War I, when the French refused to accept the Fourteen Points. All other nations accepted happily or neutrally, or where pressured into it. The French soon became the only nation to not sign the Treaty of Versailles and eventually war continued between the two nations.

The French eventually occupied a sizable chunk of Germany and pushed for harsh terms, which the Germans were almost forced to sign until the League of Nations threatened intervention. The French eventually settled for lighter terms, with great esitation, with Germany paying heavy war reparations just like in OTL and agreeing for French occupation of the Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Wuttemburg for 25 years.
