Alternative History

The Terra Argentea (/ˌɑrdʒənˈteɪ.ə/) timeline is based upon a series of disparate, often minor and unconnected, points of divergence and alternate trends. Most of these are geopolitical in nature, and combined they create a world different from our own in a variety of ways. These difference can be grouped into three categories:

  • The overseas constituencies of the United Kingdom, brought about by a drift towards confederalism in British and imperial politics following higher voter turnout at the Maltese referendum of 1956.
  • The existence of wholly fictitious locations and entities:
    • The islands of Ceylonesia in the Indian Ocean.
    • The Sarvi ethnoreligious group, originating in northwestern Iran.
    • The islands of Wilthirsk, located roughly halfway between Shetland and the Faeroe islands.
  • Duarte Pio's coronation as Grand Duke of East Timor in 1992 following his role in securing that country's independence.
