1970s[]

  • M*A*S*H (1972-1983) - The series follows a team of doctors and support staff at 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in Hamburg, South Germany, during the German War of the 1950s. The series ran for 11 seasons and 256 episodes, with many classic episodes such as "Abyssinia, Henry" and "The Interview". The finale, Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen is the most watched television episode in the United States, with over 125 million viewers.

1980s[]

  • Empire Blues (1981-1987) - Set in the New York City, the series follows the staff of a single police precinct - "blues" being slang for police officers. A serial police drama, it featured critically acclaimed storylines and characters. It has received extremely positive reviews and has received and been nominated for a number of awards.
  • The A-Team (1983-1987) - Action adventure series that chronicles the adventures of the "A-Team", a group of ex-American Special Forces operatives - Hannibal, Face, B. A., and Murdock - who work as soldiers of fortune while on the run from the US Army for a "crime they didn't commit" during the Argentine War.

1990s[]

  • Raven Rock (1992-1997) - A drama focused on the growing boom town of Raven Rock during the California Gold Rush, with various characters entering and exiting the town in the search for gold and prosperity. As time goes the town gets involved in various conflicts that can shake its population to its very core.
  • South Park (1997-) - Set in the titular Colorado town, this animated sitcom follows the bizarre adventures of four boys - Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick. The show is intended for mature audiences and has become famous for its crude language and politically incorrect, dark humor that satirizes many different topics.

2000s[]

  • Band of Brothers (2001) - A miniseries focusing on World War II that has received extremely positive reviews. The series is a fictionalized acount of "Easy Company" of the 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment and their exploits during the battle against the Confederacy. The series follows the men through their training all the way to the Battle of Atlanta that ended the war. The series is based on real-life events, with the fate of characters being the same as their real counterparts.
  • A Tale of Two Cities (2006) - A miniseries focuses on the lives of several characters before and during the French Revolution. The series has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, and is regarded as a classic.

2010s[]

  • The Deep South (2012-) - The critically acclaimed story of a southern family that gets torn apart by the Dixie Rebellion of the 1960s. Peyton Manning stars as Jacob White, the patriarch of the powerful White family who tries to keep his family afloat at the Dixie Rebellion rocks the south.
  • Grunge (2014-) - This sitcom follows the lives of nerdy teenager Connor, his best friend and love interest Annie, internet-obsessed geek Albert, and a variety of other characters living in a suburb of Olympia, Washington during the 1990s. The series deals with the social issues of the 1990s in a light-hearted matter, though it deals with serious subject matter in "very special episodes" similar to those that aired during the 90s.
