Teddy Alvarez (Napoleon's World)

Eduardo Rodrigo "Teddy" Alvarez (born October 17, 1961) is an American Democratic politician and the current Governor of Peninsula. Elected in 2008 on a platform of solving the Peninsula water crisis and helping the state recover from its fiscal and economic malaise, Alvarez's success in lowering unemployment, tackling public pension debt and funding water pipelines for drought-stricken southern Peninsula led to his overwhelming reelection in 2012. He is the third Hispanic Governor of Peninsula. Prior to his election in 2008, he was a U.S. Representative for the 5th District from 2001-2009 and had earlier sat on the Santa Helena County Council and worked for the Peninsula Latino Connections non-profit organization. He is the only son of former Peninsula Attorney General and failed Senatorial candidate Mario Alvarez.
