Without an earlier - much earlier - POD, this is not plausible in the least.

The POD is now much farther back, and now explains Japanese sudden massive manpower boostKacra 03:01, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

Still not possible. Flag of South Korea PitaKang- (But here's my number|So call me maybe) 20:48, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

I think the idea that Japan invaded Hawaii following their attack on Pearl Harbor is somewhat plausible, as the Americans were unprepared for war and much of their infrastructure would have been damaged. There would never have been a better chance. However, the rest is balogna. Japan was stretched to the breaking point without occupying Hawaii in terms of supply lines, so keeping the islands supplied would have been expensive and risky. Also, once the Americans regrouped after the attack, they would have returned with overwhelming force. At best, occupying Hawaii would have prolonged the war by 1-2 years, maybe three if the Japanese are lucky. Still, the end result would have been the same. The US just had too much money, resources, and manpower, and the Japanese were fighting on too many fronts. Hlanus (talk) 19:07, June 5, 2013 (UTC)Hlanus

I'm quite sure that if the US was ever pulled away from the war in the Eurpoean Theater, Russia would have still steam rolled Germany. Even without the United States, Hitler would have still made his "two front" blunder. He was ill mentally and physically and no other action in history would have changed this fact. He would have made the same mistakes. Thus, Russia would have been pulled into the war like our timeline, even if Japan succeeded in taking Hawaii. Hitler's Germany was doomed ever since the guy took over and the main reason is because of his incompitence and his continual interference in his generals orders. So you can make believe all you want, I'm just saying that it seems like you're saying that if Japan would have done better, Nazis Germany would have also had the same success. I'm not so sure that's true.

If anything, Russia would continue invading Germany until all the German women were raped and all the German men were dead. It would have been a massacre far worse than what happened in our reality. England would have been battered even further, but would have barely clung onto civilization. Italy still would have been useless. Once Germany was defeated the Allies would focus on Japan and a massive war against Japan would be underway and millions more would be dead. It would have ended with America, Great Britain, and Russia blasting the shit out of Japan until they, too, are annihlated all the way back to Japan. Only in this time line, perhaps the threat of Russian invasion would be equal to the dropping of two atomic bombs...O_O

The taking of Hawaii would have lengthened the war, but it would not have change EVERYTHING in the war as your story states.
