The Bear River massacre, also known as the Massacre at Boa Ogoi was an attack by the army, from Fort Douglas, Utah, upon the winter quarters of the Shoshone indians at the western end of the Cache Valley in what is now southern Idaho. Also, there was no 'Echo Canyon Massacre". An attack on Echo canyon was proposed but never carried out because the Mormon fortifications were too formidable.
