here are 2 proposal for the national flag

--Marcpasquin 07:07, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Why thank you Marc! Please, tell me your inspiration for each. Louisiannan 00:18, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Both are based on the mexican flag *here*. The first replace the central emblem with the comunist star, the second use a slightly modified national emblem (the branches becoming a wreath) topped with a red star in a manner similar to Communist era emblems. --Marcpasquin 04:00, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
The first one reminds me vaguely of Tejas. Louisiannan 18:10, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I have also made an attempt.-Emperor Norton I of filefront forums

Interesting, Emperor Norton... Louisiannan 15:39, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

my opinion:
1- you should keep the cactus to support the eagle, the whole cactus-eagle-snake has historical origin.
2- the ribons would look better alternating in the national colours (green-white-red) and maybe reduced them to only contain the motto.

I did a quick and dirty version with the alternating colors, and I think it would look really, really cool. I laid it out like this:
G          R
W          W
R          G
G          R
W          W
R          G
G          R
W

and I agree about the cactus, too. See Wikipedia:Coat of arms of Mexico for further info. But otherwise, right swell flag, and I look forward to the next draft! Louisiannan 04:21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

A person named Frogger helped me to edit this

Tell me what I need to edit in. (ie Whatever word or motto)

Marc, what do you think of something like this? Louisiannan 00:48, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Looks good but just one thing, shouldn't the name be "República Popular de México" ? --Marcpasquin 03:03, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

If you want a cleaner edit, there's a program called GIMP which I used for stuff like the flags I had submitted. Concerning Gente and Popular, the translator I used gave Gente for people. However, it could have been translated wrong.-Emp. Norton I

How's this latest change, then? (Refresh the image if it doesn't show.) Louisiannan 05:27, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I think it worked very well, though some of the words are hard to make out.

If you look up the people on the left of the flag, they are Mexican Communists/socialists/democratic socialists or historic people who could inspire socialist idealism who could be added to the article, eg. Heberto Castillo and Arnoldo Martínez Verdugo. --Emperor Norton I 02:10, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
