I like the tack that this one started, with the Space Program changes.
But as noted on "All The Way With JFK"....many non-partisan historians see Kennedy as a failure, both on civil rights and foreign policy.
- Many, but not all, and who knows what a second term would've been like with his failing health (his back, Addison's Disease) etc. I'll be exploring that as I go forward. Louisiannan 22:30, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'd merely note the "Oliver Stone mythos" of Kennedy ("he would have not gone into Vietnam", "he would have pushed civil rights strong with no re-election ahead of him", "he would have seen a better and more popular 'Great Society' emerge", etc)....don't square with his calculating and sometimes even self-interested politics.
- I agree with that. Like I said, I'll explore it as I go forward. Louisiannan 21:01, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
