Interesting...though a slightly more plausible althist would be Welles making a film of "The Shadow" (who he portrayed on radio) and THAT film influences the public perception towards THAT super-hero, and perhaps "The Shadow" becoming what "Batman" became in OUR althist....i.e. campy "Shadow" series in the 60s, Tim Burton re-vision of "The Shadow" with Michael Keaton in the 80s, etc.

The other slight problem might be Welles' post-Kane film career wasn't exactly spectacular, with Welles' artistic streak clashing with the studios and usually the studios winning.

But a neat idea, nonetheless.---97.82.149.195 01:22, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

This is actually based on a hoax some guy put on awhile ago, he claimed Welles really was going to do this, somebody even made a trailer for the movie. Though I create a different cast and plot for the movie than he does. Mainly, I just wanted to create a good forties Batman, and this seemed to be the best oppurtunity to do so.

But back to the article itself, what do you think of my casts?

Excellent choice of Richard Widmark as "The Joker"--97.82.149.195 02:00, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
