Talk:No FDR
From Alternative History
The POD for this althist is nearly identical to that of the classic Phillip K. Dick althist novel "The Man In The High Castle"....that of, Roosevelt's death at the Miami assassination attempt that in OTL saw the death of Mayor Cermack, not FDR.
Dick wasn't specific in the remainder of history past the POD, except that the Depression continued and America stayed isolationism, and eventually lost the war with the Japanese seizing the West Coast, and Germany everything east of the Mississippi.
Given that, there is no copyright infringement from atleast 1933 until his novel setting of 1960. And I have no intention of it following his exact model.
Also, the use of Sarin by the Germans owes some influence to "Morgen die ganze Welt", as does help on the advanced German aircraft later used.
Additionally, this is not to be a paean to Roosevelt or to say the world wouldn't have survived without him or the war lost. Just a possibility----(the Author)97.82.149.195 23:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
