I plan to have the Mongol conflict continue for a while to wear both sides down since a weaker Mongolia is less threatening to China, though Amasanj will still be the stronger power and the one with China's support, though not enough to conquer Mongolia. With the northern front stabilized, the Chinese can then undergo their voyages, though they will probably continue westward first to Africa, as they have no reason to go east. When the encounter the Portuguese and see their military power, then they will seek the possibility of going east, to try and bypass them as well as open new trading routes, thought that will be a VERY big challenge and as such it will probably be the early 1500s before that happens. Hlanus (talk) 04:19, May 11, 2013 (UTC)Hlanus

Actually Christopher Columbus will not have the chance, but one of his brothers might if he went to England and lobbied with the monarchs there. They might take the offer to try and bypass Portugal, but also just to get rid of him. My guess is Bartholomew as he was in France at the time, though he will take longer to conduct his voyages, so he probably won't reach the Caribbean until 1495 or so. Also, regarding the Battle of Buuntsaagan Lake, I am planning to rewrite the battle with more accurate Mongol tactics in mind, so I will probably have to redo the map of the battle you made. Why would England send warships? Remember that they have only found the Grand Banks, something that many western Europeans already knew about. Besides, there are no cities or targets worth attacking in much of northeastern North America at this time. The best targets are in Mesoamerica and the Andes, not northeastern North America, which they are nowhere near for now.

As for the Chinese and the Portuguese: if they are having good relations in southeast Asia and with the Mongols, why would they be interested in purchasing weapons save for curiosity's sake? There is no real military need, and without government support or consent, mechanics will have to rely on their own resources, and if they are caught, it could seem like they are plotting rebellion. The only way this could happen is if the Emperor smells trouble or if gets curious about them.

Also, the idea of them sailing east for the new continent is a bit stretched because it should take a while for the Europeans to figure out that this is a new continent, and once they do, they will try to keep it secret until they can make do on it. The only way I can see the Chinese finding out about it is if they also discover it by accident, perhaps if they sent ships on a routine mission and they were blown off course by a storm. Otl, the Pope ratified a treaty, the Treaty of Tordesillas, which divided Central and South America between Portugal and Spain, but as England is discovering them, and they are not as interested in spreading Christianity, the treaty will probably not occur, so the rest of Europe will probably have to find out about it on their own, so their existence will be easier to keep secret.

As for the Chinese seeking out the Americas, there would have to be some rather good reason to do so, perhaps the allure of new trade routes. On the subject of Incas getting firearms, I am not sure if that would be enough, as they would be exposed to diseases and be decimated all the same. Also, without more advanced metallurgy and the secret of gunpowder manufacture, the guns would not be all that effective against the Spanish. Finally, it will take a while for them to discover any sort of material wealth, so they will probably not settle soon after.

I set up the "Timeline 1500-1600" page, which will probably open up with the last of Columbus' voyages to North America and the discovery of Brazil by the Portuguese, under the command of Pedro Álvares Cabral, along with the Spanish discovery of the Caribbean, probably by Juan Ponce de León. Within a few years, the Europeans will probably start sending colonists to their respective areas, the English in NE North America, the Portuguese in Brazil, and the Spanish in Cuba and the Caribbean, though I suspect these colonies will have a hard time as in otl, which would probably delay more permanent settlement.

As for the Chinese, I suspect that it'll take them a while to hear of the New World, and even longer to really organize any major expeditions, so they'll be the last to reach it and the last to colonize, though the first on the Pacific coast. Hlanus (talk) 17:24, May 19, 2013 (UTC)Hlanus

What do you know of the Inca Civil War? One of the differences is that the Spanish conquest will be harder because they will approach after rather than during the civil war. The war will cause the Empire to break up into smaller pieces and the Spanish will have to conquer them one by one. This will open the door for other powers, namely France and China to establish vassals in the Andes to block Spanish expansion. I need to know where the new states would likely emerge. Can you find that out?

If not, what do you know about Tokugawa's rise to power? My page on the 1600's starts with this conflict. One thing to remember is that atl Japan has conquered Hokkaido and that most of her troops are still around, as they did not invade Korea as they did otl. Wu in WW3

Hello Ninja, I am typing in regard of Wu's actions in WW3. Instead of invading the inland asian nations I Korea suggests you should focus on Vietnam, as they are really hurting you and a major threat. Korea and Russia will take care of the inland asian nations and we can work out a land deal after the war. If you focus on Vietnam, you can stop Vietnam and may make small land gains. RDE Algo Problems (Important)

I've just checked your war algos and I've noticed a few problems.

1. Participation is by nation sides, not individual nations. To incorporate other nations participation is why there is a Nations Per Side.
2. You cannot add naval points to an algorithm without having a naval battle first, so as to determine which side gets to use them. 
3. You cannot do your own chance, even mods cannot do their own, they have another mod do theirs, and yours was repeatedly biased towards you with 9 for yourself and 2 for Han.

As it stands, you have lost 4 of the 6 battles you did. The two you won have gotten much closer. Due to this, Han is currently winning, and have pushed your invasion back. Colonies in RoS

Het ninja you have to remove the thing about a colony in Zimbawbwe, you would have to go through a Brazilian colony (Mozambique) to get there and you didnt ask or anything so it isnt plausible, no to mention ive claimed the area pretty solidly and im settling it.

PMII Posting

I would like to thank you for agreeing to help me with posting in PMII. Generally, my schedule will allow for me to post on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but other than that I will need to rely on you. I am open to any real cultural events taking place, but generally I want no war and no vassalization. Here is my base post, from which you can change and deviate a bit.

• Persia's growth economically continues, and the gap between the wealthy and poor continues to shrink, due to policies of the Parliament that are aimed at making the entirety of the Empire economically prosperous. With Baghdad, Kuwait, and Persia all combined into one entity now, the government has grown more effecient for these core regions. The merging of Mesopotamian and Persian cultures continue, influenced by art, architecture, and literature. Turkomenistan also begins to merge culturally with Persia. The Nestorian Church stops sending new missionaries, which helps to releive tensions also. Nonetheless, conversion continues at a slower pace. The government under the Republican Monarchy is still running smoothly. Kurdistan and Georgia are vassals of the Republican Monarchy, and an effort to prevent their secession is made, leading to their happiness with the Persian leaders. Ha'il and Khafji are also vassals. Military grows.
• Shaybah, Yemen, and Najran, are all operating well, content with the Persian Empire. The growth of cities like Sana'a and Aden become important to the economy of this region. We attempt to build stronger relations with the rest of Arabia, especially the powerful Caliphate and Federation. Persification and conversion of Arabs to Nestorianism continue. Military grows.

Here are a few notes. At the end of both bullet points I say "Military grows." If you can change this every day to say "Economy grows." and then switch it back the next day, I would appreciate it.

Furthermore, I have a rough timeline about deaths and ascensions - in 1865, Aslan, the reigning Shah will die, and his son, the Shahzada Suleiman III will take the throne. Thank you 1,000,000 time over,  Reximus Maximus 

Ok, so if you cannot tell, Persia has been reduced to a shell of its former glory. To reflect this, I ask you to change your post to be more or less this:

• Persia's new leadership, and the influence of the popularly elected Parliament, allow the internal workings of Persia to continue. A Pan-Persian nationalism begins to rise. The cities of Baghdad and New Persepolis receive huge influx of refugees, leading to a housing problem, but killing the labor shortage. The economy is growing due to the urbanization. In Turkomenistan, those who have not fled hope that the war will soon be over.
