I think that The UK or the Two Sicilies would get OTL Libya, due to geopolitical and cultural considerations. Also in future versions I would avoid Mercator projections and use something more like a Wikipedia map. Other than that it looks pretty good.

I agree about Libya; I agree about the Wiki style-map. For the versions I used on the IB wiki I got the original from Wikipedia and edited it to match. I would also suggest the key be in the Ocean off Chile. Louisiannan 20:02, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Firstly, the only software I have for editing pictures is Microsoft Paint. Secondly, would the Kingdom of Naples have the manpower to actually capture Libya anyway? Finaly, I gave Libya to the HRE just to give them more colonies. Also, I did get this map off Wikipedia (see here), but I added various land-masses that were absent. --Sikulu 13:23, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
I could send you my IB map as a bitmap, if you'd like. I'm curious as to why it was lumped in with TS in IB, now. Which land-masses were missing from the other map? Louisiannan 13:39, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
They were only small ones (Svalbard, Sakhalin, Hawaii etc.) but I felt compelled to add them. --Sikulu 09:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
For the Libya Question: My dead ancestors as testement, when you pile enough corpses of Sicilian peasants on it, any problem will be extinguished. Even conquering and holding a land area roughly four times the size of your nation.
Fair enough. I have changed the map to give Libya to Naples. --Sikulu 09:43, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Can everyone read the key at the bottom? --Sikulu 10:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

I like the key, yes. :) Louisiannan 13:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Question: How did the British get Arabia?

I'm still thinking about that. Arabia is a bit like colonial India *here*, though, with a lot of princely states and a few British-controlled areas. --Sikulu 13:19, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

I think that the British would have Egypt to control the Suez rout to India and Arabia.

What is the difference between the light and dark pink of the British Empire?

Light pink are the areas ruled by the Monarch of the British Empire; the dark pink areas are protectorates only. --Sikulu 09:42, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Why would the Altenburgs not want to rule them? If the Brits had the power to transform the two into protectorates they certainly could say "George here is going to be your king" and the Arabs couldnt exactly say no to the hyperpower of ATL.
Because they were protectorates from the start. The Europeans did a lot of that. --Sikulu 13:14, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

What is the country that seems to be Ethiopia?

That's because it is Ethiopia. They asked for Chinese protection to stop the HRE, France and Britain from chopping it up. --Sikulu 13:22, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Ah.
Don't blame yourself. Ethiopia was about that size in the late 19th centuary. --Sikulu 13:15, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
