I am making this free to adopt for anyone who has more experience in the region. I have enough on my plate as is.

Hey Yank, I was wondering why you were certain that Kosovo would become an entity of its own? Why would that happen in this TL?--Vladivostok 14:47, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

I just thought that when Yugoslavia fell apart that all pieces of the country would become idependant. And that includes Kosovo.

What happened to the idea of a united Yugoslavia surviving? ISTR that we had that at some point - was it removed?
If so, probably we ought to look at Yugoslavia's history as a whole, rather than develop it one timy piece at a time. Benkarnell 15:55, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

It got voted obsolete. I don't remember why. And I honestly don't care. The important thing is that the South Slavic Union is obsolete, but the countries that were part of it still could have survived.

True, but you have to understand that Kosovo isn't a viable state on its own. It's a non-entity really, because it is comprised of nationalities which really hate each other. It would most likely be carved up between Albania, Macedonia and Serbia, if they survived Doomsday, of course.--Vladivostok 16:30, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Desperate times lead to desperate measures. If the surrounding countries were hit by nuclear weapons, Yugoslavia collapses, and fallout and refugees are spreading across the area, I think they could forget their ethnic differences long enough to survive in the short-term. In the long term, you could expect chaos and the collapse of the Kosovo state, which is still enough for an article on the subject.Caeruleus 04:09, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
