Education[]

According to the online biography, Kennedy was attending the University of Delhi in 1983. Being there in September of 1983, and assuming for sake of argument that he remained safe in the capital for a few years, it is conceivable that he would get his law degree there. I was thinking that he could also have an earned doctorate there or maybe in Australia, making him a formidable spokesman for the CRUSA in the meantime.

Being isolated as he was, he would not have dated and lived with stars and models in those years, but "grown up" to become a respected professional in his own right. If he dated and married, it would probably be to a citizen of the ANZC, but that part of the story is not germane to this history. I'm noting this, because I want JFK to meet with President Campbell of the USA (this weekend [3-26-11] would be nice) so I can have a statement about the co-operation and differences between the CRUSA and the USA. Sure, write your news event and I will incorporate it into the article. Mitro 00:18, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
Okay. I just thought having him be "Dr. John Kennedy" would add a lot of authenticity to his position as chairman. Here is my suggestion for the article. You can do rewrite it as you wish:

John F. Kennedy, Jr.

In 1989, Kennedy earned a J.D. degree from the University of Delhi School of Law. After working among the poor for a year, he moved to Wellington, New Zealand, where he persued his doctorate in law at Victoria University. He was graduated in 1994 with a Ph.D. His theses had been a study of civil rights law in the United States of America. In 1995, when George Bush abolished the APA, Kennedy moved to Canaberra where he became active in the Committee to Restore the USA (CRUSA).

Torrington summit.

Having met with US President Ben Campbell in Australia in November of 2010, Kennedy had arranged a meeting on American soil for early spring of 2011. Having found Campbell's views far more conservative than his own, the CRUSA chairman had hoped to convince him of the legal necessity of reclaiming all of the territory lost in the chaos following the conflagration in 1983.

After a series of rallies in the MSP on March 21-22, Kennedy flew to Casper, WY, where he met with his regional director. Then he drove to Torrington to meet with president Campbell. After meetings on Friday that went into the night, the two men met on Saturday morning in a public forum in the Senate chambers to get input from legislators and public alike. In a called news conference on Saturday evening, US President Ben Campbell made the following announcement:

"Today I have been privileged to meet with and discuss important world events with the son of one of America's most revered presidents, Dr. John F. Kennedy, Jr. This man was part of history before our world was turned upside down, carrying on his father's name, but choosing to serve the poor in faraway India before embarking on a career in international law. When the American Provisional Administration folded in 1995, he was there as a voice for America in the midst of a foreign land. He has come to our shores to promote a vision that many say is a pipe dream - mere smoke in a glass jar. Though the Constitution does not require that we reclaim lost land to the last acre, nor even to grow beyond our present borders, it does give us the mandate to provide a just and equitable existence to Americans everywhere. I look forward to working with Dr. Kennedy in what promises to be an exciting campaign to reconnect with our brothers and sisters from 'sea to shining sea.'"

I hope this helps to bring people together in this project. I will post the news item after I post this note. SouthWriter 01:49, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

UPDATE: Mitro, let me know if you want me to finish this article for you, I'll put the account above in it if you like. SouthWriter 17:49, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Question[]

I just want to add a quick sidenote here. About a week before Doomsday Kennedy attended the Wedding of one of his cousins at the Kennedy compound. Does anyone know if he stayed their afterward long or returned to India by Doomsday? Brad30977 05:04, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

I'd go with a resounding "No." None of them, far as I can tell, really lived there at the time, except Edward - and he was in Washington. Heck, it was his cousin's wedding. You can't even assume he would have went.

Plus, who on earth would hang around a week after a wedding?

Lordganon 06:46, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, LG. I couldn't find the exact dates. I found the announcement for the September wedding but not the actual coverage of it. There is a picture of him pigging out after he got back to the USA from his time in India, but that is from the Spring of 1984. If his stay was only for the summer then that messes with canon. I like authenticity, but there comes a point where we have too much into an article to write it out. Without definite dates, I'm going to say he wasn't even at the wedding, but if Brad has documentation that he was, then it might mean his stay in India was just for the summer. SouthWriter 07:14, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for reminding me to look it up, South.

Have a look at this. He was definitely there.

But, makes absolutely no sense that he would have stayed, especially given what we do know about him - basically, that he graduated from Brown in the Spring of 1983, and did work at the University of Delhi later that year. It also seems that until he started School in NYC the next fall, he was mostly in India.

Understand your disagreement, but yes he did go, check the google news archives they had a couple articles about it. -- Brad30977

Thanks again Brad, Though I was grooming the man for possible president of the USA, you have forced me to vet him further. Unfortunately for me, I failed in my research earlier. It was a fascinating idea. But alas here is proof that I was wrong.

One hundred and twenty guests clinked glasses last month [October] at an American Embassy party in London. The occasion: the premiere of a WNET-BBC documentary, New World Visions: American Art and the Metropolitan Museum. Among the guests, who filed past the embassy's photographs of U.S. Presidents, was the coordinating producer of the program, Caroline Bouvier Kennedy. Her escort was her handsome 23-year-old brother, John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., who had stopped in London en route to India for a six-month study tour.
[snip]
Before leaving for India John spent several months at his mother's 15-room apartment on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue studying, socializing and occasionally visiting his uncle Ted Kennedy in Washington.
And so it goes. He was in Manhattan and Washington (and maybe Boston), in September of 1983. If he'd stayed around a week at Barnstable he may have survived, but I'm with LG on this one. As much as it pains me, I'll mark the article Obsolete and excise JFK and his wife from the record. Anyone have an idea for another charismatic young man to lead CRUSA? --SouthWriter 15:18, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
