I already talked about this in "The Bolshevik Bleeding". One failure would not deter the world's socialists. Without Soviet Russia, there would ahve been no red scare and the people would be more open to socialism.

Without Lenin, the Menshivesks would have taken control of Russia instead, but they still would have signed a treaty with Germany and turned Russia into a socialist state, it just might have been more moderate. 24.199.206.42 23:20, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
