Never understood why Angola got this territory in the first place. Older maps suggest that It had originally belonged to the Congo. African "politics" are so confusing. I put politics in quotation marks because in most African countries ellections are shams. In this way Doomsday helped democracy tdue to the LoN forcing all nations adopt a certain degree of democracy. --Yankovic270 00:01, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Cabinda is a part of Angola in OTL because they were both Portugueses colonies, even though Cabinda is not connected to Angola. Mscoree (talk) 14:52, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Half-right. It is part of Angola because the Cabinda colony was given to Angola in 1975, after having been effectively treated as a part since 1951, despite being legally separate the entire time.

As for how it happened, blame the Belgian King for wanting an outlet to the sea. That's why this part is separate from Angola proper.

Way to respond to something from 4 years ago, fyi.

Adoption[]

Fed, myself, and Imp are planning something big in this area, and we would like Cabinda to be involved. May I adopt this page or failing that get permission to use it?
