Is this going to eventually be the Franconian state that opts not to join the Alpine Confederation after the Bavarian referendum, or is that idea scrapped?Oerwinde 08:33, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

Adoption, Ideas[]

With my adoption of the article, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for it? Never hurts to ask.

The city of Bayreuth is rich in culture. Famous artists like Jean Paul Richter, Richard Wagner, and Fritz Rasp lived in Bayreuth. Also, the composer Franz Liszt died in Bayreuth. Steingraeber & Söhne pianos have been made in Bayreuth since 1825 . Bayreuth is also known for its many museums, and theaters, (the most famous of which is Richard Wagner’s Festspielhaus). I believe that the post doomsday government of Bayreuth would try to preserve a small fraction of Bayreuth’s cultural treasures.Goldwind1 01:57, February 5, 2012 (UTC)

Virtually all of such works inside the region would be preserved as best as possible. Lordganon 09:42, February 5, 2012 (UTC)

I feel that it would be a good idea to make a cultural section for Bayreuth because of many museums, theaters and cultural events. The Bayreuth festival is the most most famous of the cultural events in Bayreuth. It is a music festival in which operas by Richard Wagner are performed at the famous Bayeruth Festpielhaus. It may also be worth mentioning the Samba Festival and Johann Strauss Musiktag that are held in Coburg if a cultural section is made for the Bayreuth page.

Opera festival. Yes, that is music, but it's important to note the difference.

You forget, too, that culture takes a backburner to survival.

Steingraeber & Söhne[]

Steingraeber & Söhne pianos have  be made in Bayreuth by hand for over 100. I believe it would survive doomsday by repairing pianos. I believe that  Steingraeber & Söhne piano makers would try to keep the company alive by using their wood craving skills to make simple wooden furniture. In more resent years Steingraeber & Söhne may resumed piano production, since  Bayreuth has developed trade with the Alpine Confederation and the Kingdom of Prussia.

Yes, this is one company that would survive very well - though for a number of years most of their business would have turned to other woodworking projects. There can't be all that many pianos in the area, after all. Lordganon (talk) 07:36, January 13, 2013 (UTC)
