Did Canada become American in 1782 or 1812?
It says in 1785 that ALL British posessions in North America became American possesions but it says also that the British retained Newfoundland and Labrador after the 1812 war.
What caused Virginia and Tennesee choose to stay in the Union and not Arkansas? Why did Texas also remain? Was it because it was treated as the Mexican territories were, with slavery illegal soon after its annexation?

[edit] Communism, nukes
There are two glaring holes in this. How did communism come into being at all? It only happened in the first place because of WW1 in real life, what is the explanation for the socialist revolution coming into being in this timeline?
Second, why are nukes invented in 1945 in particular?
This timeline seems to be in the line of thought that when something in history is changed, it doesn't effect ANYTHING else in the world. For instance, if it werent for world war 1, tanks may well not of been invented at all yet (they were invented by the British to break the trench warfare stalemate), and wars took a very long time until Hitler invented Blitzkrieg, and then other major powers learned to use similar tactics. 65.27.139.162 20:42, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
