Talk:1941: German-British Cease-Fire
From Alternative History
Interesting Dan, but highly unlikely. Why would someone like Churchill even consider a ceasefire with Germany? And besides, Britain could have held out against Germany more-or-less by itself (which it managed *here*), untill Germany exausted itself against Russia, followed by a series of revolts against the Nazi occupiers in several Western European countries. --Sikulu 11:24, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wasn't my althist, actually. Someone had started it ages ago on the WW2 category page, and I moved it. If it's cruft, let's delete it, because I don't think the person that created it is even around anymore. Louisiannan 16:04, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough. We might as well get rid of it then. --Sikulu 08:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Is it going to be deleted soon then?--TEAKAY 19:28, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Uh, excuse me....THEODORE Roosevelt???
- And your comment has what to do with the price of tea in china? Louisiannan 22:07, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Quoting the althist- "POD. 14th of August 1941. A meeting of Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill aboard HMS Prince of Wales off the coast of Newfoundland."
- so, uh, IF he hadn't died 22 years EARLIER....in 1941, THEODORE Roosevelt would have been 83 years old and unlikely to have been President.
- Is it possible he/she meant....FRANKLIN?
- Probably. --Sikulu 15:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
