The Takenaka Center is the world's tallest building, located in Kyoto, Japan. At a massive 3218 feet (~981 m), the Takenaka Center is nearly 300 feet taller than the Imperial Tsar Tower in Moscow. The skyscraper was completed in 2011 after nearly a decade of construction and planning, combined with massive tangles with the government. Construction was largely funded by Aleksandr Lukashenko, causing several minor Indochinese nations to accuse Japan of housing Lukashenko while accusing them of doing the same. These claims were later proven to be false and Takenaka Center gained its reputation back.
