The Federal Republic of Central America is a federation made up of eight states. The nation was established in 1823, and has evolved into a buffer state between Mexico and Colombia. While Spanish is the dominant language, the states of Moskitia and Belize are dominately English-speaking (creating a bilingual atmosphere in the FRCA).
