Open For Adoption

This timeline is Open For Adoption, feel free to adopt and expand it.

This is the splinter level, where I have dropped subsequent POD for the After Ætas ab Brian timeline. the adoption tag exists to apply to all the splinters, please oh please, if you has any idea or enthusiasm for any of these, don't hesitate to add to their short descriptions here or create an entirely new article!

These are not in the Ideas section only because they specifically deal with further deviations from a timeline I already started.

[edit] What If

  • During the Nihonian War2047(1294)-2064(1311) Nihhon had invaded Sinica before Roman South America, to counter Rome's stratagy to invade the home islands from the Sinican coast?
Would Rome declare war to defend Sinica?
Would Dai Ön Yeke immediately join with Nihhon in its invasion of Sinica?
Would Sinican lands prove to be much harder to take, even with Dai Ön Yeke aid?
Perhaps the war would fizzle out after a few years, global tensions continue.
or still escalated, only then centred in Asia instead of the Americas.
Perhaps with less damage and direct war effort, Terranova demands more independance.

  • After the Miasmata in 1584(831)-1619(866) in Sinica a different and very anti-Roman dynasty rose to prominence, fighting with Rome over ownership of India, Sinica would likely get most of India?

a costly war, more like 30 Years War + 7 Years War than WWI + Vietnam

  • Rebellious Persia had aroused more allies in 1057(304)-1105(352) and spread gunpowder and rail technologies more to help allies?

  • Sinica had been the one to manage a pre-emptive strike against Nihhon's empire after the Miasmata? 1718(965)-1744(991)

  • theMuscovite Succession Wars in 2163(1410)-2173(1420) had escalated to WWII, with Rome's support for Krajinia being the catalyst?

  • Temüjin(Genghis) 1938(1185)-1986(1233) had died later (retired from the battlefield) or earlier (from an earlier accident/wound)?

  • Trajan had never been born/died/failed to conquer Britannia, Dacia, and Germania in 852(99)-891(138)?

  • Hadrian had abandoned Mesopotamia and/or never made his plans for the invasion of Scandinavia (or they were incompetantly performed and failed in 891(138)-914(161))?
Stronger and more permanent Viking presence in Europe

More agressive and dominating Rome over lesser nations
War with Xun Sinica continued? Result?
If ceasefire made, WWII would arrive far sooner

  • the Concilium Mundi at any point had been continually restrained and stayed as weak as OTL UN?
Somalia,Maialand, and Commonwealth of Terranova conquered by Rome or made vassals/tributaries
Larger unrest in empire

would technology be affected?-accelerated from capitalist competition and government inscentives or retarded from corruption and profiteering?

  • at some point (still possible) incursions in the off-planet colonies, whether accidental, exagerated, or intentional trigger WWII on Earth?

  • Joanna Mars Arcleo and/or Soyoung Kaneda were not part of the international political scene for whatever reason?
escalation of Muscovite Succession Wars?
PAB invasion due to Rome's weakening after the Ice Age?

  • instead of calling eachother in 2100(1347)-2114(1361) and declaring their invention of the nuclear bomb, Rome and Sinica worked a.s.a.p. in secret to build production level bombs for an intended and immediate nuclear strike?
Rome and/or Sinica destroyed, other nations gain dominance, forming great/world powers but not super powers, dark ages for Europe (and perhaps oversea colonies) and Sinican Asia?

Rome and/or Sinica become hermit empires/ fall apart?

no/much much later cold war between Rome and Sinica?
later/much much later nuclear bomb?
lazy to space race?
CM phenomonally more successfull?
eventual war for submition with Muscovite Empire?

  • A second Miasmata in the 1800's due to the urban population explosion?

  • Any number of revolts/rebellions were successful or at least a big deal?
specifically during the Amplus Arma?

  • Project Hadrian had completely failed/greatly succeeded/never been envisioned etc. in 1744(991)-1799(1046)?
Commonwealth of Terranova matures into an equivalent USA?
Germanicus wins and creates an isolationist and more democratic Rome?
Parthia becomes Rome's rival again?
Octavius wins and encourages greater Roman expansion and agression?
Empire soon collapses from over-extension and military costs while economic problems mount
Empire manages to use constant expansion, tribute, and looting to continue to develope and address problems at home?
The G/O Civil War ultimately leads to a quick Roman collapse?
  • The Argentium Dementis1917(1164)-1938(1185) had been more severe and lasting, economically weakening the empire and making it more vulnerable when the Menguren Wars started?
