The Soviet Union is a nation located in Europe and in Asia. It is one of the few communist nations left. The Soviet Union was created in 1922 after the 1917 Russian Revolution led by Vladimir Lenin. Its capital is located in Moscow and the top five largest city in the Soviet Union is Moscow, Leningrad (St Petersburg), Vladivostok, Sochi, and Stalingrad. The Soviet Union was a superpower from 1945 to 1979 when the Communist Forces lost in the Vietnam War.
