[edit] Original Timeline
In 1979, an islamic revolution took place in Iran that overthrew the Shah. Since then, Iran has been an enemy of the West, most notably in the 21st Century. In 1998, Hugo Chavez was elected president to the Republic of Venezuela, and began a line of leftist governments all across South America. He is known for his hatred towards imperialism that confronts him with the U.S.
With the turn of the Millennium, elections in U.S. put George W. Bush in charge of the country. After the 9/11 attacks, he began wars on Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003) with huge public support. He was re-elected in 2004 and in 2006 encountered hostilities from North Korea and diplomatic issues with Iran which escalated into a war
[edit] War of Iran
The President of the U.S. took the decision to strike Iran after a plane was shot down in an Iraqi U.S. Airbase. This is widely believed to have been a false flag op by the U.S. to attack Iran.
[edit] Bombing of Teheran
In the morning of March 12 of 2007, a nuclear bomb went off in Teheran, killing 1 million people almost instantly and another million subsequently due to fallout. This attack by the United States sparked the rage of the International Community. Iran, the Arab League and North Korea declared war on The United States, and eventhough the country could have been hit a various number of times, only the city of Seattle was destroyed by a nuclear attack.
[edit] Virus Infection
Given the impossibility of Iran to get nuclear weapons (its nuclear program was pacific), radical militias inside the Irani Government attacked the U.S. Capital with a new form of virus that killed half of the DC population. The unpredictable was that it would mutate to a transmisible virus, so the whole world got infected. Fortunately, South America was saved because extreme measures were taken to ensure the virus wouldn't hit the continent.
