The South African Civil War, also known as The Apartheid War or The Greater Racial War was a conflict that lasted more than 7 years and ended with the surrender of the pro-Apartheid forces.The war is normally agreed to began with the assassination of F. W. De Klerk by a white nationalist who felt he was giving too many concessions to the Blacks. The first phase of the war dealt with anti-apartheid versus white supremacists, and phase two dealt with anti-apartheidists vs black nationalists who wanted a reverse apartheid system

It was a direct result of the racial tension due to the decline and abolition of Apartheid Polices in South Africa.
