South Africa is a British on the southernmost portion of the continent of Africa between the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. A core area of the British Empire. the written history of the area began with Dutch Colonization. An English take over in the 17th century has defined the nation's history since. Rich with natural resources, South Africa is one of the largest producers of raw materials in the world.The Ethnic diversity between Black African natives,Dutch Afrikaners, English settlers and other imported populations has continually molded the country. As a result of continued immigration since 1900 South Africa has the largest, and growing European population on Africa. Since the foundation of its current state since 1941 South Africa has become a large contributor to the global British Imperial Force and the London Stock Exchange. South Africa is a parliamentary monarchy, and supports both the Church of England and the Netherlands as official state religions
