ソニー株式会社 (Sony Corporation), is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Kōnan Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Sony is also one of the leading manufacturers of electronics products for the consumer and professional markets.

History[]

Sony, originally the Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo before 1955, was founded by Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka in 1945. Soon once Sony was officially established, it begun making huge advances in the technology industry.

By 1968, the first Cell Phone was made by Sony, and later in 1978, Sony made the first CD Player.

Then by 1992, Sony released their first console, the PlayStation. Since then, many games have been released for it and the PlayStation became one of the most popular consoles in the world, and has been a huge success.
