Point of divergence
During the summer and winter of 1888 there were a series of murders known as 'The Whitechapel murders'. The perpetrator was nicknamed by the police Jack the Ripper, he was never caught. But in this timeline the Ripper's final victim Mary Kelly managed to fight him off and he was revealed as the Queen's grandson Prince Albert Victor. As a result of these events Britain was faced with a revolution and eventually became the first socialist nation.
