The Slovenian Front was the front the Italian army used to enter Yugoslavia. On Thursday 8th June 1939, the Polish army responded to there ally (Yugoslavia) by engaging the 1 million Italian soldiers in the North East corner of Slovenia.

After several gruelling weeks of stalemate between the Polish Army and the Italian Army, the Scandinavian Army pushed through the Italian lines and cut off the Italian forces at the Slovenian Front. Soon after Polish forces lead a costly attack to kill the remaining forces.

It is estimated that 2,352,891 soldiers died from both sides on the Slovenian Front.
